You'll have a job editing the system partition without root.

I've installed it like a normal app in Xperia s (lt26i)

This is the result I get. I'm on stock rooted 290 fw, ul bootloader, Doomkernel v4. When I flash the zip it forcecloses the launcher when I try to set the widget, and when I try to manual install it says "cannot be installed".

Here is second version of the transparent mod. It's still a test version so you can try it and give me some feedback. Meanwhile i've solved the FC bug, you need to delete the stock weather widget found in system>app and then flash my mod again

Not working on MJ3 and MJ5. I did copy to the relevant folder and did a reboot. Still have the default weather widget - non-transparent.

Works on mj5

So as on S3 and S4 i dont like the intransparent backgrounds on accuweather widget ...
so here is my modded deodexed accuweather app with transparent backgrounds, i let the animations (cloud, snow) there so it looks very nice on my wallpaper (replace AccuwheatherPhone2013.apk and AccuweatherPjone2013.odex in system/app with attached deodexed apk)

You Need ROOT for this MOD !!!!!
Detailed installation process:
-) download the apk
-) copy the apk to your sdcard
-) with e.g. Root Explorer copy the apk first only to /system
-) rename the apk to its original name (without my mod-extensions on the beginning)
-) set the permissions to rw-r--r--
-) set owner and group to root
-) move the apk-file only now from system to system/app and replace the original one (or rename the original to.bak before)
-) if there is also an odex-file with same name delete it (or rename it to .bak)
-) clear dalvik-cache and cache
-) reboot

is there a chance to have the font in blue or black since i use bright wallpaper, or telling me how 2 do it if it is easy to do
the other option 4 me is to have another widgets where u can control font color, size etc etc

it depends on if nova can see samsung stock widgets, for example apex laucher dont see Splanner widget
the mod has nothing to do with launchers, it just replace the stock widget with another stock widget but moded

Try to put the widget in /preload/symlink/system/app, change permissions and reboot.

V1 won't work too. Try to delete the .odex file attached to the widget.

APK is tested on N9005 latest KK 4.4.2 NC2 stock rom odexed, But should work also on N900 and on any other KK rom odexed or deodexed (need testers to provide feed back)

Just place the zip file in your mobile, reboot to your advanced recovery, flash and enjoy (No need to wipe)
Be aware this will replace your SystemUI.apk with the new moded one, you will lose any mods from your rom or themed icons located in systemUI.apk, you can get your themed icons back by re-flashing your theme
​BACKUP your system (NAND) or original apk before flashing, it is your choice and your responsibility
The only way (so far) to revert/uninstall/go back to previous state is by re-flashing your rom / restore your nand backup / or push back your original apk
Pls. verify which rom and Bulid do you use and your phone model, to check compatibility

Well I flashed it and notification bar disappeared but theme was there.. I flashed the theme afterwards and still no notification bar.. had to restore from backup.

it don't work on N900S, black screen and no status bar

Restore yr backup or push back yr original apk, will do a fix hopefully work with all models very soon

Can the 4g LTE moved closer and lowered to the signal bars?? Everything else works and looks perfect..

the icon is for all models, but these arrows are for US models, so lowering the icon will mix with arrows for International models, stupid google!
the only solution is to have a moded file for US models only
