Hello everyone
I'm very new here so if this is not a good place for this question pls let me know. I need help. I have htc one, it's from Croatian telco provider Vip , but when I check the version, it says it's m7wls (sprint version, which is crazy as it's a us network and this phone was bought in croatia). If I check imei it's ok and the same as in Croatian provider's warranty. Hboot is 1.44, it has an unlocked bootloader, but it is rebooting all the time and it says under htc logo "build for development purposes only...) I can go to bootloader, can only put twrp that is for m7wls, not international version, and I can put cwm any version. When I adb push or sideload any custom rom (I tried many) it either says corrupt file, or when I try to install android revolution hd 31.6 it seems as if it installed, but then when it goes back to recovery, and i try to reboot, phone says it has no root access and if I want to install it. I have tried couple of times to install superSU through recovery, so it shouldn't be an issue. When it reboots then it goes straight to bootloader, like i havent installed new rom at all, and there is no more recovery, I have to flash it again. I tried viper rom, cyanogenmod two versions, tried both installing international and sprint version install of ARHD 31.6 and in the end the only rom that booted (not really) was bad boyz rom for sprint, which came to lock screen of the phone, but when I swipe to unlock it is shows white screen with htc logo. very weird. I can use volume controls, screen on/off and on long press it shows options to restart, reset etc. But it just doesn't work. Also it seems it doesnt recognize the sim card.
I think it is not really sprint version, it is impossible, it must have been some mistake. I bought the phone from a guy for 240 eur, which was cheap, and the phone is not even used, just at home, it has a month old warranty. So it's a good buy, but I gotta make it work now. This guy says he has tried to update it (official update) and it just started rebooting and didnt work any more. Then he gave it to some friend who apparently has a workshop for repairs of cell phones, but he had a phone for 2 weeks and said he didnt have time to work on it. But it seems like someone played with it.
Is it possible that it says that its m7wls version when it really isnt? Maybe that guy installed a kernel or a firmware or sth that changes this? Is it possible? Any help would be appreciated.
All the best,
Domagoj

Check the stock files stickied at the top of the General section. You are likely to find what you're looking for there. Those stock image files are usually earlier builds...if you flash the correct one for your device you should be able to update OTA to the build that you had originally. Just make sure that it is the correct one for your device.
If you rooted, you should be able to restore.
thanks. I flashed the Telstra files and it all works, but the problem is im with Optus ( a difgerent Telco) I cant find those roms anywhere.
When I flashed the telstra 3g rom it places the carriers app, and changes settings and bookmarks etc for the carrier.
I need an optus 3g rom to flash, i dont care what version as long as can run ota to bring it up to 3.2 (which is what i purchased it as stock standarD)
Hi,
I recently got a Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 from my girlfriend which was locked to T-Mobile (it had been a contract phone). My contract is on Orange so I flashed an insecure kernel in Odin and used Samsung Quick Root to root the phone. I booted it up and managed to unlock (though i'm now not sure if this was a full unlock or some kind of soft-unlock, I don't know if that's even a thing - I used an app called "Galaxy S Unlock"). Anyway I tried sending a text just to make sure and it was fine. I decided to install CyanogenMod (latest version on the website), I did and all was fine. Then I was prompted to update on my phone so I did, halfway through it crashed and - being an idiot - I turned off the phone. After that I could only get as far as the Samsung logo when trying to boot and after that it would return to a black screen.
I did some Googling and decided to flash back to a stock ROM which worked and the phone booted fine. Now however, the phone asks me for the SIM unlock code (making me think this was a soft-unlock) yet I still get bars of signal but if I try to text or call I get the "Not Registered on Network" error. I've tried adding Orange's APN manually but it won't save, everytime I press save and go back into the APN it's blank. I've also tried to select the network using the "Select automatically" as well as trying both Orange and T-Mobile in the network options and simply get an "Unable to connect. Try Later" error. I've also tried to update through the phone and it says it's upto date. I'm currently running Android 4.1.2. The Baseand Version is I9100BVLS4 and the Kernel Version is 3.0.31-889555 with Build Number JZO54K.I9100XWLSY.
Could anyone give me any advice as to what to do? Thanks!

The Galaxy S unlocker mods the EFS folder and putting it back to stock might have messed up something. I would re-root and re-do the unlock. hope you have a copy of the original EFS partition before you started or that the app made a backup for you in case...
Hello, i recently thought about flashing a rom on my phone, i did all the basic stuff unlock boot loader, root etc but when i put the file on my device i got stuck in a bootloop, so i panicked a little and went on to google to find a STOCK ROM for the moto g. I found one and flashed that instead, it did infact save my device and i was so happy at the point, but then i noticed that at the top on my task bar it said i had no signal on BOTH Sdcards when infact this phone only has 1!? (my o2 simcard was in at the time) Anyway i went into setting and it had above he wifi setting "Dual SIM settings" which i have never even seen before. Anyway i clikced on that and it says 'SIM1 Disabled' and below it says 'SIM2 Disabled' Also my Mobile DATA has vanished to. All this worked before i went and screwed up my device. Im kind of in a panic and really dont want to loose this phone :crying: :crying: Please can anyone help get me back my signal and data, other then that everything else is working normal.

You have flashed a single sim variant of the stock ROM on your device, find the dual sim version for your phone here: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=14
Also, of course your data has gone as your phone has undergone a reset and firmware flash
All of them are not for 4.4.4 or does that not matter?

Absolutely. From experience, you must flash the dual sim variant. Unfortunately, there is 4.4.4 available, but only for the States. You might PM me the OTA update package and I'll be able to help.
Sent from my XT1022 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Cant find it?
Cant find any for O2 uk or retail UK or duel sim or even 4.4.4
I Messaged you please reply. im abit of a noob to this website haha
I got this e3 that i flashed 3 different stock roms, and i can't get sim card to work on any of them. With or without sim installed i get a failed check picture and i can't use sim, tho other things work just fine. I have tried a central european rom, a rom made for my counrty, but im not sure weather the sim card is from that operator the rom is made for.
I took the phone form a frined to try and fix it since it was stuck in boot loop, so i've handled that and i'm not sure how to fix this :crying:
The roms we apropriate for the model, d2203, used the both latest one and the one before.
Did you resolve this?
I found that if you run flashtool on pro mode it will allow flashing of simlock.
I don't know exactly what's that but I hope it (and google) helps you
Hi,
I´m a noob with the ROM/Firmware matter, so I need some help from you. Here I go, I rooted and unlocked my Sprint S8 (G950U) and I´m trying to change the ROM/Firmware to get the international version (or I don´t know if what some call generic is the same as international version) to avoid my cellphone boots with the Sprint logo, but everytime I flash the ROM/Firmware, an error comes up when the update reach 30%, then it shows erasing and then reboots again with Sprint logo. What am I doing wrong?
Odin version is 3.12.3 patched and it always pass. Version ROM/Firmware is G950USQU1AQDE_SPR, I tried with the same, but TMK (G950USQU1AQDE_TMK)
I hope to be clear about it, any help would be very appreciated.
Regards.
If it did work, you'll most likely either brick your phone or if that doesn't happen, not get cell service. If I'm remembering everything correctly. If you really cant live with the Sprint boot screen, I say wait until theres a custom rom or find out how to remove it yourself.
