Finally update to Official Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM. This is Poland edition.
Firmware: N9005XXUENA6
Country: Poland
Version: Android 4.4.2 - KitKat
Product Code: XEO
PDA: N9005XXUENA6
CSC: N9005OXXENA5
MODEM: N9005XXUENA2
Cauntion:
Phone Bootloader Update must tick at PC Odin3 v3.09, without updating the bootloader, the phone won't success boot to recovery for completing the flashing.
Not suitable to try out if you plan on virgin after root without tripping the KNOX as since MJ7 bootloader will trip the KNOX once root.
Seems no root for the moment as well, the root for leak S4 ROM not working as XDA member post, I haven't try that yet. (Edit: Root already available)
Overall Impression:
Smooth! It is far better than Android 4.3, I am dirty flash.
It seems system occupied lesser RAM now, the availability now is 2.71GB
I love the new lockscreen.
New lockscreen music playback is cool also, just the cover art a bit blur due to big expand.
Finally Samsung remove the ugly Green color battery icon.
Some screenshot of Official Android 4.4.2 - Kitkat new features & look.
* Roboto Condense font is not include, Samsung still use it own one, mine is intact from previous setup.

Hi,
Thanks for your report, could you clarify this point about Knox, i don't understand what you said. I'm still knox 0x0 and don't want to triggered it by flashing new firmware. AFAIK, flashing an official firmware doesn't trigger knox?!

As long you not plan to root, the Knox will still be 0x0, it only happen if you root it as since bootloader start from MJ7 ROM will trigger the knox once root.

If you have previously ROOT firmware will already be VARRANTY BIT 1. On any update.
Just now, the counter could see it was previously hidden.
And after flashing back to the version below will not return.
Firmware for Russia, as clearly seen in the version.
Return to the version below is not.
Since the stitching is a new bootloader.

In this version 4.3 does not work to yet.
4.3 In a lot of that has changed.
Blame SELinux translated into active mode.
Do not run many programs at the root and so on.
I made a kernel with disabled SELinux from source j1, and many programs are beginning to work .
J6 on until there is no source.
kernel no selinux N900XXUBMJ1
https://hotfile.com/dl/253342594/f6cfad7/Boot_2.tar.html
After the firmware to make WI-FI we correct line in the build.prop
so should look like:
ro.securestorage.support = false

Could you discuss this in the correct thread?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2771470
This thread is about the firmware-update of the Gear 2, NOT about rooting!
Update now available in more European countries...
I successfull downgraded i9505 from 4.4.2 FNC4 to 4.3 MKF and rooted it.
Knox still 0X0
1) Flash i9505_Downgrade_43_by_Leeno_.tar
2) Flash i9505_downgrade43_step2.tar
3) wipe data (if you don't wipe data s4 will hang at startup logo)
optional - root with .bat saferoot
After those steps, i9505 will have full working mkf version missing mkf bootloader.
Bootloader will not downgrade
if you want update to 4.4.2 or newer 4.3 than mkf and keep root and knox 0X0:
1) install mobile odin and open it
2) select option:
- "ever root" and
- "reboot in download mode"
3) select firmware and write. At the end it go in download mode, don't power on it
4) Flash only boot with odin from pc

Why would anyone want to downgrade if you can simply root without all the hassle using geohot's towelroot (http://towelroot.com) up till NF1, and still keep KNOX 0x0?
1) 4.3 is not battery drainer
2) safe root work from readable .bat adb. Towelroot i not know what modify in the system so we not know if any bug is caused by it.
3) if towelroot will not work with next firmware, maybe downgrade will still work

Well, my battery life was better with 4.4.2; so I guess no use for me. Towelroot uses a kernel exploit so basically no other modification is done to the "system", which may pose problems, as you later stated, in case further updates are pushed by Samsung. For more info/discussion see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2783157

I have 2 phones, bought each with NB8. Neither one had battery drain, I tripped Knox and rooted my first one with Chainfire's method, using custom recovery and running SlimKat 4.4.4 and KT kernel.
My other phone has been updated with Odin to NF1, left stock but running TowelRoot and still Knox 0x0. No suspicious battery drain. With normal usage I get better battery life on my first phone though.
Nf1 still not tested, i will try

I suggest you do a full wipe from the recovery before flashing NF1, it might be a dirty flash - even with Odin - that causes the battery drain.
let me see if I understand...
I have 4.4.2 with 4.4.2 bootloader and KNOX 0X1...
if I use this I'll have 0x0 KNOX and 4.3 ROM and 4.3 bootloader only flashing this file?

if i have understand correctly no it will not reset knox, but you could downgrade from KK to JB and then root without trip knox..
what i am woundering is if it will be possible to downgrade to 4.2.2 no knox ( even if tripped it shouldn' t show??!?? )

Why would anyone want to downgrade if you can simply root without all the hassle using geohot's towelroot (http://towelroot.com) up till NF1, and still keep KNOX 0x0?

No, it says you can go from 4.4.2 to 4.3 without triggering the knox
Waiting to give this a try. 4.4 is not out yet in my country and want to return it to 4.3 as I am having issues with my network.
Im using android pay atm so need a dm-verity pass
So im running
Device: Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910C
Build: Android 6.0.1
PDA: N910CXXU2DPG8
CSC: BTU
CHANGELIST: 8842622
BUILD DATE: 28.07.2016
Android security patch level: 01.08.2016
Then using Package Disabler Pro to kill below
its not ideal as i cant remove sfinder and such from the pulldown
& add hosts file etc but its the best of a bad situation
and ofc the dalvic-cache gets generated for all that bloat in the system rom
so it uses around 2gb more of the data partition in comparison to my images
If anyone wants N910CXXU2DPG8 with the BTU Multi CSC Cache Partition here's a link
If your are coming from any other CSC it will default to XEO (Poland Unbranded)
If you are coming from any of my images it will default to BTU (UK Unbranded)
I have included my disabledpackages.xml that you can import with Package Disabler Pro
to disable all the bloat
I believe XEO (Poland CSC) Comes with 1 polish bloat app
so i advise you are on one of my BTU Images before updating to ensure you get a BTU (UK) CSC
This shouldnt trip the knox bootloader marker but its untested as im already tripped

Thnx for new stock rom! Will try it for sure!
If it is possible pls make one version that is stripped dwn from basic bloat available from playstore like v6 v7 , and rooted, removed s finder pull... and maybe some other basic CSC tweaks like call recording, camera shutter, all calls on log etc.
All best!

Can You write more accurately? Which app bloat?
how is it BTU?
did you change csc in fw?
I have Uruguay rom which is same.
i added the cache package from the xeo rom which is also btu
so if you come from my older btu roms it will default to btu or xeo if coming from any other csc
ROM is very, very good but I have one problem.
First I installed XEO. Was a bug.
Then changed XEO to BTU. Now there is no LTE
Any advice?
i have lte on btu
Does it trip KNOX counter? Did anybody test it?
This rom is odexed or deodexed?

Hello, Shonk can you update to latest rom, today is released european version DPI7 with september security patch and much higher changelist, for lot of countries.
If possible pls make one version like 511, stock debloated and rooted by default..
Thanks in advance
Im still on V6 511 your rom, best battery life ever, 6 hrs sot easy...
Shall we expect any progress on this thread?
I'm still on Mod7(5.1.1), but I think to update to 6.0.1, as I see comments, that last official Samsung updates are very good.
UPDATE: Thanks to @deathst for the link to his downloads of Nougat for the Malaysian N ROMs. If you want to update your Singapore MM phone to Nougat, following the link and instructions there. Remember to use the HOME_CSC to retain your data and Singapore CSC.

/END UPDATE
So, I bought an international S7 Edge in Singapore last year. Got to say that their updates are incredibly slow.....only recently got the November Security update.
Had an on-line chat with them just now, about when to expect the Nougat update.......April to June!!! Though he did helpfully add "this year".
It really makes me sad that Samsung promise to update phones, then we have to wait maybe half a year to actually get the update.

So if I flash the Malaysian firmware with Odin, it should retain my XSP? Which would mean I don't lose data?

Just to check....use the Home CSC from the Nougat firmware I download?
yup. use the one from the firmware that you download.
@edan1979
Many thanks. I flashed, with Odin and after setting the secure pin, the Malaysian Nougat firmware, with the Home CSC from that firmware. Everything went smoothly, my Singapore CSC stayed intact, as did all my data.

where did you download the xmw version?
Thank you
I got it from Updato.com: http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?r=&v=Nougat(Android+7.0)&q=sm-g935fd&exact=1
the S7 is a great phone but it is my last Samsung product. 2 reasons, the slow updates and the new finger print sensor.
HTC 11, here I come !
And still it will be 7.0, not 7.1
Deleted...
Just a curious question, if I flash the XME version, I will need to flash the AP, BL, CP, and HOME_CSC right?
After flashing, will I still be able to use Samsung Pay in Singapore? If I wish to change back to Singapore version can it be done by flashing with Singapore firmware (7.0 to 6.0.1)?
Thanks for the clarification.
Well that really is the nail in the coffin for me and Samsung, they can _____ others for hundreds while extracting the urine, I wont be party to it again
