Anyone gotten the PC suite to work?
I have installed from the internal memory. I cannot get the PC Suite to connect to my phone in any way. Bluetooth fails and with cable also.
What am I missing? All drivers seemed to install correctly. The software also.
Running windows 7.
Try on XP. I've read it's not compatible with W7.

Hi raskall!
I installed it (also the USB driver), and it is working well. I have Win7 64bit. To make it work, you have to disable the "Mass storage only" option in the SD card & phone storage setting menu. After you plugged the phone you have to see a green Droid (sync mode), instead of a yellow one.
You activated the USB Depuration option, aren't you?

[Q] I got a question.

Ok guys I have a boot0: MBR boot:0 done error whenever I boot up my computer ever since I attempted to install windows 8 but cancelled before it was done. Now I'm guessing that I have a corrupted bootloader. Is there anything I can load onto an SD card and boot on the computer to fix the bootloader because my computer can boot from an sd card, I know that because that is what I was about to use to install Windows 8. Any help would be great!!!
PS: I was going to install windows 8 on a separate partition, so I'm hoping that Windows 7 is still in there. Do you think it is? Just another question.

Sounds like it partitioned the drive getting ready to install win8. Go through and reinstall win7 again if you want it back.

Nah man I partitioned HDD in windows 7 before I even went to install windows 8 and when I was in the installation for windows 8 I selected the second partition (the one without windows 7) and it was expanding the windows 8 files and i cancelled it and it undid all the changes (lol apperently right?) and i restarted the system. And then it was doing that.

[Q] Problems with cloned HDD

I just recently bought a Seagate Momentus XT 750 GB Hybrid Drive. I decided to clone all my data from my older WD Scorpio Black 750 GB. After I finished cloning, I tried to boot up the hybrid drive but keep getting a "Missing Operating System" error. I've already attempted to use Windows startup repair, it does detect a problem, but it is unable to automatically repair the issue. I cloned the original HDD using Macrium Reflect.
I read online that the problem might be caused by the BIOS trying to boot off the SSD portion of the hard drive which at this moment is probably blank. However I plug this HDD into another computer as a secondary drive, Windows can still read all the partitions on that drive. The BIOS in my laptop is up to date. I'm running an Alienware M14x R1 BIOS revision A08. Any suggestions? Thanks!
This might be a problem of the bootsec.Have you edited the boot.ini ? I do not know the name of the commandline tool from w7 for that at the moment but i had nearly same problem.

I'm not sure, but I think my boot.ini file is correct. It matches and is an exact copy of the original boot.ini. Unless I'm supposed to adjust it for the hybrid SSD drive? I heard from others that the MBR might be corrupted but I tried using EaseUS partition manager to rebuild the MBR but it seemed to have no effect.
Update: I got it working. I just used a different program to do the clone. Instead of macrium reflect, I used easeus cloning software. It was a bootable image that cloned the hdd before boot which might've made the difference since macrium clones while the os is running.

Check with google
Backtrack or Kali Linux distributions will boot from USB or CD and come with tools for 'data recovery' that maybe able to help. If the data that you want to recover has been written over by other data; then things can be a little tougher. The best stuff for doing what I think you want to do is going to run in a terminal window not a GUI, so hopefully you're comfortable with the command line
Let me know if I need to be more specific and I'll see about adding better instructions, otherwise, google up some 'forensic data or drive recovery or imaging' software for one of the above suggested distributions and you should be able to recover the important stuff.

Try loading any linux from usb and download testdisk recovery tool its a cross platform supported program that saved me many times. Google for testdisk and how to use it.Hope this helps.

I'm back from helping someone else with something similar. Had an sdcard go out, saying "damaged sd" and here is how they recovered nearly all the data...
From Backtrack Linux...
dd was able to make a forensic image of the SD card, and testdisk was able to show and save unlinked files from the image file, so we were able to get all her photos and videos back!

The "unlinked" files when scrolling through should have the first two characters or letters messed up, and the link provided should have directions on how to recover lost data. The thing to do is "dd" as this will make a full copy of everything to another drive, this will alow you to try different methods of recovery on the copy without risking the original drive.
Hope you get it all back

[Q] Make OTG drive bootable

I do not have access to a computer at the moment. I need to make a bootable ubuntu iso to fix my laptop. I have the iso downloaded on my galaxy note 3. I can put this on a usb hard drive via a OTG cable. I need to make the hard drive bootable using only my phone. I am not rooted and I am using lollypop. Thanks for looking.
No reply. I suppose this must not be possible.
