Anyone gotten the PC suite to work?
I have installed from the internal memory. I cannot get the PC Suite to connect to my phone in any way. Bluetooth fails and with cable also.
What am I missing? All drivers seemed to install correctly. The software also.
Running windows 7.
Try on XP. I've read it's not compatible with W7.

Hi raskall!
I installed it (also the USB driver), and it is working well. I have Win7 64bit. To make it work, you have to disable the "Mass storage only" option in the SD card & phone storage setting menu. After you plugged the phone you have to see a green Droid (sync mode), instead of a yellow one.
You activated the USB Depuration option, aren't you?

So I just reformatted my computer and now my G2x will not mount. It mounted before format but now it won't. I searched the forums and read other threads about this but nothing works for me. When I push "turn on USB storage" it loads for a few seconds then says "safe to remove SD card". I do not know what to do. I'm running Domination and was trying to go to EaglesBlood.
Any ideas?
EDIT: I also noticed of all the drivers the only one that won't install is LGE Android USB Modem. Tried installing plenty of times and still nothing. That one driver will not work

Try reinstalling your drivers on your computer: http://www.lg.com/us/mobile-phones/G2X-Driver/index.jsp
These are the drivers you are missing, install the drivers, and you won't get the problem.

Reinstall the drivers and reboot your computer? Some people had that problem until they restarted their computer.

Did you try to enable USB debugging as well?
Could it be a missing driver from your system?
Note: occasionally I have to reinstall my drivers because they just stop working every now and then. But, I don't think this has to do anything with this.

First of all, EB Rocks. I've been using it since Gingerbread and it has changed the way I look at my phone.
Second, what kind of computer are you using.
If you're on Windows, I recommend reinstalling the LG drivers again. You can find more on that here -> support.google.com/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=168931&topic=1088950&ctx=topic. (Sorry - don't have my boyscout link badge yet.)
You could boot into CWM and try to mount the phone that way to make sure your USB cable and connections are kosher.

Hi! I'm having a lot of troubles with my infuse. I connect the usb cable on my phone and make click USB Storage but my PC doesn't bring me the mass storage. I'm also having problems with heimdall and Odin, I cant pass through FACTORYFS, always give an error "factoryfs upload failed" but I could flash and I'm on Port_JW6_SAUROM. I also try with my captivate and the USB mass storage and Odin or Heimdall are working fine but I'm still having the 2 problems on my i997. Any idea of how can i solve this?
Have you tried uninstalling the USB drivers, and then reinstalling them? Here's a download link for them: http://d-h.st/sKF
At one time, I also had problems where Heimdall would fail after a certain point. Ended up being a simple driver issue. I'd try redoing the drivers, and maybe switching USB ports.

I've got the same issue. The phone will charge, but thats it.
Try a different computer, USB cable, USB port, drivers, uninstall Kies and just install the drivers.
If none of that works, it may be the USB port on the phone.

Everything is working fine heimdall and odin are perfect. I can flash with no problem now but windows doesn't mount none of my internal or external SD cards but I can access through the phone without problem. The estrange thing is every communications with the phone are apparently working except windows cannot mount my sd's. I'm going to try lunix. Any advice?

Use the link I provided in post 7 to mount usb. Also linux will work great ( I use Zorin)
Linux advantage- will show internal and external sd.
I have a dual-boot setup on my PC. Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04. I actually prefer to boot into my linux drive when I'm going to use Heimdall. Heimdall is already a pretty simple thing to work with, but when done outside of Windows, it seems even a bit more smooth. With Ubuntu, I never have the little Windows USB "quirks" that sometimes show up.

I can access to my sd card but only when it's empty. I can copy file but then i cannot access or the transfers are slow. Any idea why?
EDIT: I'm having Error 0x8007045D: I/O Device error
Is that when using Linux? I'm just a casual tinkerer. I think you need one of the real gurus around here to figure this one out. Google search results for your error code seem to all be centered around problems with Windows and external hard drives. I did find this thread in HP support, maybe it somehow applies to you?

ok, the problem isn't with heimdall or odin, those are fine, the problem is because I can't copy files to my internal or external sd (F, GB, ICS or JB). I try windows and Linux but i can access to the usb only when the internal sd is empty but no transfers of files.
the unique problem now is the transfer of files.I now it sounds like is the cable but i can transfer files on a captivate. HELP!!

I'm using the same rom and I've meet the problem as well. In my case, it seems related to my operating system, it failed to detect the usb plugged in. It's works well after a reboot.
Hm, tried it on a Windows and a OS X machine, both not working. I also rebooted the 2 PCs and the phone, but the problem still exists.
Flash rom again using this method using EXT4 recovery
I've searched a few different queries and unable to find a solution.
When I connect my phone to my PC at work (running win xp), it comes up as an MTP device as expected, but when I open the drive it shows no files or folders.
I don't have the bandwidth to download HTC Sync, are there other drivers I can get that will allow it to work?
I'm pretty sure it's a windows xp problem. When I actually get it to work it is very very slow about as fast as bluetooth.
Its weird. It works on the other xp machine. I'm assuming its a driver issue but I couldn't get it to work. Was hoping someone had some insight

I usually only get the MTP popup in recovery. Not quite sure how to turn it on in CM10, I go to Storage and USB computer connection and select MTP but it just goes back to Mass storage.
I have the opposite on sense. Only mtp while booted in Rom. But since it doesbt work on this machine, I have to boot into recovery and mount storage to transfer files

2: Can boot into Download mode both manually and via cwm

a. I have tried uninstalling all drivers, installing only SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.exe V.1.5.5.0, V. 1.5.29.0, and V. 1.5.18.0.
b. i have treid mini Kies for captivate, and also the full kies. neither driver works.
c. I have tried download mode with ODIN (doesn't recognize my device)
d. I have tried using Heimidall to install its drivers with the Zadig... Checked OPTIONS- show all devices. device isn't there.
main problem is I cant get my computer to recognize my device

Could you please share how you got it fixed with this awesome toolkit? I'm kind of in a similar boat. I have Aeon 1.4 running great and I can download and flash roms OK but I can't get the darn thing to show up on ANY pc running Windows or Linux. Windows sees it as an "unknown usb device." I have tried everything from reinstalling kies and even Windows. It doesn't do anything in Linux anymore. Another strange thing is when I plug in the wall charger, the phone asks me to choose kies, media player, or mass storage. Weird. This all happened out of nowhere.

Downloaded the toolkit onto external micro SD plugged into my computer with a micro SD to SD card adapter. Then put the micro SD into my phone, booted into cwm. Followed by copying the toolkit to my internal phone memory with for explorer on touch cwm. Then started aroma toolkit, and used that to flash a kernal. It gives you several options for flashing in the toolkit.

Another thing, I work for a heating/plumbing company. And my work is dirty. I think a rock found its way into the charging port thing. I used a needle (while powered off) to clean out the areas around the little charge thing. After that it charged fine. Not sure if your having the same problem. But I had two. One was phone in bootloop other was not charging and mounting to PC. Good luck
