Sony Xperia Pro - wont reboot in recovery manually or in Rom Manger - General Questions and Answers

Hi all,
Before I start I just wanted to say that I have looked for a solution for this problem extensivly over the last 48 hours on these forums and other sites before asking for your help. And I apologise if I have missed the solution in another thread somewhere.
My problem is this with my Xperia Pro
I have rooted my xperia pro using Eroot
and i have used recoverX to install custom recovery (i chose ICS one and did not tick developer mode)
I then downloaded Rom Manger and granted it superuser permission
and I then went to the reboot in recovery mode to make a backup, factory reset etc
but
the phone just boots up the OS again, it does not go into recovery mode, and nor does it manually either
I'm quite a noob at these things
Have I done something wrong?
Thanks for any help you can give

I just bought my x10i firmware 2.1-update1
2.0.A.0.504.
i Rooted my phone using the new superoneclick.
installed busybox succesfully
installed xrecovery succesfully.
tried 100 times pressinf the back button 3 times on the SE LOGO.

totally ****er bull****.
The 1 u posted is X10 mini. I din c before i run it. Now my hp cant boot up anymore.
What do you mean HP?
the title says X10? Why would you try it on a HP?
Geeks, please help us
Same prob
Now we know for sure, that xRecovery is dangerous if we don't know how to handle it
i havent met any problem entering the xrecovery menu even when i first installed it even though i was a complete noob on android (now i am just noob)
only thing i was doing is that i never pressed the back button only 3 times, i always keep pressing it until i get the xrecovery menu
Yes, keep pressing the back button until you enter the XRecovery menu.
If it still fails then I would revert my phone to the STOCK SE ROM (basically means repairing your phone using Sony Ericsson's PC Companion or Update Service utility), and then use FlashTool to root the device and install Busy Box and XRecovery.
FlashTool is basically an all in one solution and is less painful to use for beginners. Just do a search for it in the XDA forums.
Hope this helps.

[Q] xperia ray

hi bit stuck here iv got a xperia ray unlocked bootloader cmw and 4.0.2.a.0.62XYH-MOD-Last custom rom kernel 2.6.32.9-v3 iv been trying to get honeycomb blue circle battery with no luck iv got some zip files but when i try and apply them my status bar dissapears any suggestions would be extremely helpful
Is that the icon with the thin blue circle and the number in the middle?
I am unfamiliar with your rom and kernal but I know a similar battery display is available included in other roms like CM9 and such.
Others have had the issue of a vanishing statusbar depending on the CPU governor they are using? Try changing the governor to ONDEMAND or INTERACTIVE if you have the option.
Good luck

Ideally you should have created a separate thread for your query since it does not relate specifically to the topic on this one However,
I have found that the best way with these things is to keep it simple. There are two ways to flash a kernal to your phone depending also on the type of file it is.
For CM roms and kernals you can either follow the instructions provided on the CM website using the CMD window (if you use windows OS) or using flashtool v0.9.10.
Flashtool is much easier since all you do is install it, then install the drivers for your phone that come bundled with the software. After that connect the phone in fastboot mode (Hold the volume up button while connecting the USB cable) and then open the fastboot toolbox. You can flash the boot.img file that comes with all CM roms that way and then reboot the phone.
***Before flashing your phone you must ensure that you had "Developer Options" enabled with "USB Debugging". This allows for Flashtool and other methods to access and flash the phone with no problems***
CM10 boot.img contains CWM boootloader and to enter recovery you toggle the volume buttons while the phone starts up. The LED will change colour and CWM Recovery will show up.
Most if not all this information is available under the Ray development section of the forums here:

[Q] Help for Xperia Tipo Doesnt Boot anymore

Hello since i decided to help a friend, everything got bad and I don't know why :/
Before this Tipo I rooted/unlocked Boot-loader and changed the ROM of Wildfire S, Nexus One (cyanogen ones).
Today I started to Make this "Tipo" for a friend and that's why is so important for me the phone to work its not mine ( I usually don't make my life so complicated to make someone's phone, why i did it this time).
So It was with official ROM Unrooted and with Locked Boot-loader and I checked it if its possible to
Unlock the boot-loader It was saying Yes.
I Unlocked the Boot-loader following the instructions with "Unlock SE xperia Boot-loaders 1.6" with no problem,
I know because the phone was Reset after the finish.
After that i was able to Root the phone and I had SU privileges already in the phone and
I started to put CWM.
I first Trued with RecoverX I did everything instaling Sony Pc Companion, usb debugging ,unknown sources, busy box installed(SU privilegies) and RecoverX writed me that its installed successfully.
I try to start CWM after the reboot it was not working, I try about 10 times more, it was not working so I searched another way and i found this -
For Tipo and tipo dual users-cwm_tipo_v6.zip for cwm.For TWRP-TWRP_tipo.zip
1 Unzip It using winrar or 7zip.
2 Connect you phone in usb debugging mode to pc
3 Windows users double click on install.bat.
4 Linux users use terminal to run install.sh.
It worked from the first time!
After that I put this ROM and Gapps on the SD Card
[MIRO/TIPO/J][ROM][4.1.2] Jelly Bean Mini Project Release 5
And I Went into Recovery and I Did this
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Cache Patriotion
Advance Wipe Dalvic Cache
Install from SD Card and i find the zip archive of the ROM and the Gapps (from the ROM's directory)
I installed first the ROM after that Gapps (from Install from SD)
After that I went to Reboot System Now
(I usually don't make backup I didn't do it this time too but anyway it wont help I think in this case)
I waited the new ROM to load 10-15 Mins and I saw nothing is happening so I google the ROM and
I reeded that the ROM has sometimes that loop which is just loading for hours and nothing is happening (first boot)
So i took the battery off and I trued to go into Recovery, Sadly the recovery is gone ;(
I trued around 20 times to enter recovery with no success
And now I don't know if I'm able to do something ;( No Recovery No ROM The ROM is already above 1 hour loading
Please somebody to help me with something, or at least to tell me its no point there is nothing I can do
and to look how to buy a new phone for my friend
Try SEUS...!

Leagoo Elite 1 (MTK 6753) Root/TWRP/SuperUser

Leagoo Elite 1 Root/TWRP/SuperUser
I give no guarantee for this to work and take no responsibility for any damage you do to your phone, I have this working 100% on my Leagoo Elite 1 that shipped with version 1013 of firmware.
Installed from Windows 7, I make no claims on other versions of Windows.
REQUIREMENTS:
Functioning brain
ADB Installed correctly (Guides on XDA)
VCOM Drivers (Comes with SP Flash Tool)
SP Flash Tool ( http://spflashtool.com/ )
Stock Rom ( http://www.needrom.com/download/leagoo-elite-1/ )
TWRP Recovery from this post ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63692847&postcount=85 ) (Thanks to yankeeboy)
KingoRoot ( https://www.kingoapp.com/ )
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GUIDE:
Firstly, BACKUP EVERYTHING YOU DO NOT WANT TO LOSE!!!
Flashing any rom will wipe all data from the phone. If there is anything you want to keep, take note of it now and back it all up! If you do not know how to do this, either turn back now, or go find a guide for it.
MAKE SURE YOUR PHONE IS AT LEAST 60% CHARGED SO IT DOES NOT DIE AND BRICK ITSELF WHILE FLASHING
Step 1 - Install/extract all programs mentioned above (ADB, VCOM, SP Flash, KingoRoot) and download Stock Rom and TWRP Recovery. Extract stock rom and twrp recovery from their zip/rar into their own folders.
Step 2 - SETTING UP FOR ROOT
-Open up Sp Flash Tool (flash_tool.exe(run as admin to be safe if applicable))
-Click download tab up the top
-Click Scatter-Loading button
-Navigate to "MT6753_Android_scatter.txt" in the extracted ROM folder
-All sections in the table should fill out with files (If they don't, ensure the rom was extracted properly)
-Turn off your Leagoo Elite 1, disconnect from PC if currently connected and hit the big Download button on SP Flash Tool
-Connect your phone and DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING UNTIL A GREEN TICK COMES UP FROM SP FLASH TOOL
-Close SP Flash Tool and disconnect phone from PC
-Boot into Android to make sure all is well
Step 3 - PUSHING TWRP RECOVERY TO PHONE
-Open up SP Flash Tool again and it should load up the previous scatter file (If not, simply navigate to the same txt file mentioned in the last section)
-Uncheck all the boxes to make sure you don't reflash the whole Rom
-Click the box underneath LOCATION and across from RECOVERY
-Navigate to the "recovery.img" extracted from the TWRP zip/rar
-Double check the recovery box is the only one checked
-Turn off your Leagoo Elite 1, disconnect from PC if currently connected and hit the big Download button on SP Flash Tool
-Connect your phone and DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING UNTIL A GREEN TICK COMES UP FROM SP FLASH TOOL
-Close SP Flash Tool and disconnect phone from PC
-Boot into Recovery (Volume Up + Power) to make sure all is well
-Set language if required and reboot back to system (DO NOT INSTALL SUPERSU IF IT ASKS FROM HERE)
Congratulations you now have TWRP Recovery.
Step 4 - ROOT WITH KINGO ROOT
-Connect phone to PC
-Go to phone settings, "General Setting", "About Phone", Tap "Build Number" until it says you are now a developer
-Hit back, go to Developer Options, Turn on USB Debugging and go back to home screen
-Run Kingo Root on PC
-Kingo Root should detect your phone accurately and tell you what to do from here to finish the root
-Wait potentially a VERY long time for everything to install depending on your PC/Internet connection
-If you see a blue app with a tick on your phone screen, then root is good!
-Go to your phone dialer and dial *#*#3646633#*#*
-Swipe right to the "Log and Debugging" tab
-Tap User2Root then Root
-Get "BusyBox" app from Play Store and install busybox (this may not be 100% necessary but makes sure all is installed correctly)
Phone is now rooted, check with any root checker if desired
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From here it is easy to do anything like install Xposed framework and mads etc.
For the Leagoo Elite 1 you will want this version of the framework or a later update of the SDK 22/ARM64 version http://dl-xda.xposed.info/framework/sdk22/arm64/xposed-v86-sdk22-arm64.zip
Just flash using Flash Fire, there are many tutorials for how to do this.
hello, i own a leagoo elite 1 and theres a virus (downloaded via playstore, and grand permitted by mistake) . i used custom recovery to wipe everything, format, flash new rom , etc and virus is still there every time i boot. its a clock wallpaper that comes up and dont let you use touch screen or see behind it.
any idea how to get off this thing?
(i dont even know its name, and no antivirus can even notice it. it was installed as an unroot app via playstore
thanks
Hey mate, sounds like it has made its way into your recovery and is getting through that way. Have you tried using SP Flash Tool to flash a stock rom and stock recovery?
If that doesn't work, or you have tried that already, see if you can reroot, and then freeze the app with Ice Box off the Play Store.
Hope that helps.
hi, thanks for your reply.
i can root , ive done this many times afrer flashing new firmware (stock with stock recovery) to check if virus might be removed, but the main thing is that i dont know the name of virus to remove, or to change its permissions.
i download an unroot tool via playstore. by mistake i gave su permission, and then the phone reboot and stuck in leagoo logo.
after i flash again stock firmware, the virus is always there but i cannot see any app that seems to be the virus....
i root many times via kingoroot without any custom recovery or flashing su via fastboot.
i also yesterday flash custom recovery, and wipe system, and almost everything, but when flashing stock firmware , virus is there.
is there any custom firmware to try?
thanks
---------- Post added at 10:56 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:46 AM ----------
could you please upload system folders , priv apps folders screenshots (or any screen**** you might think virus might be located, so i can check with my leagoo folders?
please refer to your firmware version so i flash the same and then check.
thanks
Hmmm without knowing which app from the Play Store it was that did this, I don't think I'll be able to help much. If a full flash (system/data/recovery/everything) and wiping dalvik cache etc. hasn't stopped it I'm at a loss for what to do. If you can, try and find the name of the app and I'll look into it
I am using the ROM stated in my guide from NeedRom "X5601_OTD_ELITE_5365U_V1.3.1_S1019-s7yler" direct link to download here: Leagoo Elite 1 ROM V1.3.1 S1019
Try flashing this rom in full if this isn't the one you were using. It works 100% on my phone, no issues at all since install.
i used an "unroot" app (there are two in playstore that comments say that bricked phone) it might be one of them, but theres no unroot app in my phone. its hidden i think...
the rom that you use is a custom one? i have to try a custom one to see if something fix this thing.
i wipe everything, i resize, change format to sd, internal sd, system etc, but its still there.
the only thing that i see in recovery after wipe system, is that i have 3 mb used in system after format system and wipe system. well is there a way to format system via adb ..?
im suspicious about theese three megabytes...
thanks
first of all thank u for instructions on how to instal custom recovery
few months ago i was able to root my phone with kingroot, tried 2 or 3 times before succes
then i did unroot because phone display died and i didnt want to mess with guarantee so i unrooted phone, now when it came back from fixing i didnt manage to root with kingroot even with desktop version, i did everything like u said in instructions and everything is ok but when i try to root, on 75% phone restarts and i get message root failed, i noticed that kingroot app doesnt recognize my phone when i connect it as usb storage but only as mtp device, could that be a problem?
and yeah i managed one time to gain root access when phone restarted, kingo finished his job to 100% and said that it have root access now but when i restart phone it gets stuck on leagoo screen and wont boot.
i entered recovery to try clearind dalvik/cache, phone opened me stock recovery (i flashed philz and it was working when i checked for success) is there anyone who had this issue and how can i fix it, i really need root because of things like cpu control, battery consumption is really big on stand by
for 2400mah battery even a clock is big consumptor
cheers
Edit: cause i did this process few times im not sure that i did that thing with phone dialer code, is it crucial for this. i didnt think it is cause first time i rooted my phone i didnt know about that and it worked for me without it

All kind time of day. I apologize in advance for my English. I use a translator. Please help. Some time ago I tried to install root on my phone Leagoo Elite 1. I on XDA forum advised to install the firmware version S1019 I did all the instructions but the phone does not start at all. Not respond to any buttons. I tried to reflash the phone to another firmware version. All versions that I tried just successfully installed but the phone still did not want to run. The only firmware version that ran the phone version S161210. But this version runs very slow. Please give me some advice what should I do?

No sound after flashing phone
Hi all,
A couple of days ago I flashed Leagoo Elite 1 with the latest rom. After flashing the phone loudspeaker stopped working. I've downloaded the original rom from Leagoo website (stock rom) and tried to flash the phone again but still don't have sound on loudspeaker.
Just to mention that sound is working when I use the headphones. I guess problem is in problematic firmware.
Any advice how to fix this?
Thanks

[Completed] Softbricked Xperia Z3 - locked bootloader, disabled USB debugging, no recovery access

Softbricked Xperia Z3 - locked bootloader, disabled USB debugging, no recovery access
Hey, I'm in big need for help in reanimation of my Xperia Z3. I've been trying to install CM 12.1 on rooted Lollipop 5.0.2. In TWRP, after doing a full wipe I've checked ROM on sdcard and started installation. After some time, phone prompted sth like: "there's no root acces, click ok to install SU". Guided by intuition rather than by wisdom I've clicked it, and here started my problems. After reboot phone was stuck on Sony logo screen. So, I've do some research and started to apply solutions one by another.
- After trying to manually access recovery mode, there's only a short flash of green LED and that's all, black screen. Propably there's no more TWRP aboard. Other ways to access it are blocked: I can't use any apk because of softbrick, and can't use ADB commands because USB debugging is disabled after wipe.
- I can access fastboot mode visible for Flashtool; when phone is in this mode, blue LED lights permemently. I've tried to unlock bootloader: program gives message, that there's no possibility of it on my phone. By the way, I would prefer to stay with blocked bootloader. I was trying to flash custom kernel, but there was an error. I don't remember exactly what it was, but it was about lack of permissions, i think that it's also because of USB debugging disabled. The same error shows when I'm trying to flash any other ROM - stock 5.0.2, prerooted 6.0.1 or Paranoid Android.
Most of solutions in similar topics around the web tells to use recovery mode, Flashtool or ADB commands. All af that failed for me and I'm stuck with no ideas what to do next. Now I'm trying to repair or recover stock, unrooted ROM with Xperia Companion, but I'm really afraid of this process because I can't check battery or load it normally while stuck in boot loop. Maybe it will help, then I'll edit or delete this post. I hope you can help me somehow.
Thank you in advance and best regards,
BW
