Hi, what ROM were you using before? I had issues with Tim's 4.3 but sideloaded flash and also updated Youtube and it worked for me.

Hi, Before I have a Tim's 4.3 and I don't have this issue on it. But for testing the new KitKat 4.4 I did a full wipe and Factory Reset.

Hello guys I'm new here I have the 4.4.2 from Katkiss no problem I'm here to ask all of you if better to put others kernel. The only thing is the battery lose alot in few hours even Wi-Fi disabled rotation off and the CPU to 1000.
The first time I did a full wipe but the battery was a bit down this morning I did again but with full battery on you think I did wrong?
Sorry my English without translation.

I may be having the same issue - but I read that the battery icon could be wrong...so wait and see might be the answer IMO.

[ROM][MOD]CM7.2 nightly with working camera and 100% battery (Defy+)

Hi all
I don't know if I can actually create a thread about that or if I should just post it somewhere else, if I'm doing something wrong please delete it and please don't ban me
So! Since I bought my Defy+ I've been searching everywhere, reading every post and lurking here and there to find a successful way to install CM7 on it.
Unfortunately, it seemed like a lost cause : there is no official version for it ( just for the small brother Defy ), every single version either didn't load or had problems, like inverted camera, not fully charging battery, APN problems and so on.
After several experiments and a pants-****ting soft brick, I managed to merge the perfect ( ? ) solution
le click
le alternative click
This is CM7.2 nightly version 111213 : I merged it with a working camera ( no inverted pics, no bugs, working selective touch to focus ) and a working battd ( it fully charges the Defy+ battery up to 1650 mAh, no "stop charging at 80%" or stuff like that ), both taken from different versions
I'm still testing it, but for now I can't find any problems whatsoever, it's smooth and stable for everyday use
Install it like every other CM rom ( flashing gapps included ), and if after the first restart you can't find any signal just restart and everything will work
I was going to post it in another thread, but since it's a very common problem I thought it was better if everybody was able to find it faster, again, if it's not " worth " of a proper thread just delete it and I'll post it somewhere else
Thanks a lot everyone, I'm learning more and more everyday about Android thanks to you!
P.S.
I honestly don't know if it will run on every single device, regardless of Defy/Defy+ and/or Android version, Kernel and stuff
So I'm posting info about my device, and whoever is in my same situation can flash this rom for sure
Defy+
Android 2.3.6 ( full sbf, the one you can't downgrade from )
Kernel version : 2.6.32.9-gbdd614e
A COUPLE OF THINGS
1) If you had problems flashing the zip ( like not being able to open it or whatever ) you can try to rename it with a shorter, no-space name. I uploaded it the way I flashed it on my phone, so it works like this on mine, but who knows
2) For every request ( adding T9 dialer, changing this and that ) I have to remind you this is just a CM7 nightly with a couple of modifications to have full working battery and camera on Defy+ : it means I have honestly no idea how to change anything CM-related, and for that I suggest you to ask in this or this thread, where there are actual CM developers who can probably help you

I guess it's both for Defy and Defy+, as far as I know nighties don't include kernel, so you can basically mount them wherever you want xD
But yea, I'll add it anyway, along with info about my device

Maybe the name was too long, even if I flashed it with that name xD
about you problems.. that's very strange. which android version were you mounting before flashing this rom? defy or defy+?
As I stated in the OP, this is no weird black magic or anything, it's the basic CM nightly with a couple of variation to have working camera and battery xD all the rest is exactly the same as CM

Hello, first there excuses my Englishman for whom it is bad. Podrias to a stable miui to correct the problem of the load of battery since you it have I begin in this rom? Thank you
Thank you !
It is a pleasure to have a fully working rom.
I just had a little problem when calling, after a minute or so, when the screen locks I can still hear people but they can't hear me.
Any clue how to fix that ? I am not even sure it is coming from this release but it is the first time it happens.

The "regular" Defy users probably won`t flash this since they can easily download stable CM7.1 or 7.2 beta that will work with no problems. Those stuck on 2.3.6 should flash this
I have "regular" Defy with flashed 2.3.6 SBF (red lensed) and I confirm that is this ROM working fine with my phone Camera, battery etc so far no problems.
Why not simply sharing with everyone what you did to fix the battery charging problem? It can't be that complicated isn't it?
Because I know what you did for the camera ;-...
@Jojo
Yea sure, I used this one
@amediometro
I honestly didn't understand what you said..
@ateach
never encountered this problem sorry
@maymyk
I'm a bit ashamed about it, but I don't know how to do that if you explain me how to I'll be more than pleased to do it
@[] AL []
I thought to share the whole working rom instead of the small "fixes" and tell you "you do that yourself"
anyway I found a different version of the "battd" included in the CM Nightly and I put it inside the .zip overwriting the previous one, but I'm afraid I don't have it anymore, if you want it you can download the ROM and extract it, same applies for Camera.apk and overlay ( which you said you already know about )
I'm pretty sure I found it via android-hilfe, a german forum which is full of good informations, provided you either know german ( which I don't ) or have a lot of patience to go through the disturbing google translator
if I can help anyhow let me know, even thought there's not much I can really do, I'm not a CM developer, basically every problem you can get with this rom is about CM..
can we enable 720p record?
or can we change camera with the azar camera apk?
work fine I confirm
Ok thanks, I don't own a defy+ anyway; I was just curious to learn about your solution for the battery charging.
In fact, during the holidays, I thought of doing the same as you did; I wrote a guide about all the tweaks I use on the same nightly and realized that it was extremely long and that I'd better just share a nand backup instead...
I believe that the question from the guy that you did not understand was about the same issue (batt charging fix) on MIUI this time...
And I'm pretty sure that the flashing problems on p.1 is because your zip name has a space in it; you should rename it and re-upload or make that very clear in the OP at least.
Cheers

[Q] Jelly Shot 3.2 & Marmite 7.2 SODs

Hi,
I am new to this forum so could not post this question to the original jelly shot 3.2 thread where a user has posted similar question
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39435005&postcount=1699
I am facing exactly same issue where the phone becomes unresponsive and dead until i pull out the battery and reboot it.
Seems like a sleep of death issue.
Tried fixing permission & clearing caches..but same issue.
ROM was installed by flashing ROMWiper first & then installing this.
Recovery: TWRP
ROM: JellyShot 3.2
Kernel: Marmite 7.2
Model: I9020T (T-Mobile Edition)
Let me know how i can resolve this issue or gather some logs for the ROM developer or move this post to the actual thread
Thanks,
Zoom

Already tried flashing/wiping couple of times, but after 2-3days...it begans to show SOD!
Stock Jelly Bean was stable and never exhibited this behavior...neither i am overclocking
Any other debugging or logs i can gather to investigate this further?
Finally...nailed the culprit! Autokiller Memory Optimizer was causing those SODs...
Uninstalled & since then the ROM is working like mint...awesome smooth!
Thanks for the Great Work.

Hi!
Just wondering..is this rom good enough for daily use? Is it better than stock 4.1.2 (4.2.2 is terrible btw) because i do bot know whether to flash this or not. Also, can you flash it using cwm as I dont really like the TWRP ui

I think it's stable enough for daily use. I use it for many days without any restart or any problem.
You have to update to 4.2.2 first (It won't work on 4.1.x bootloader)
You must know to backup whatever data you don't want to loose cause a full wipe is needed.
Read the first post for warnings, bugs etc. The main bug is bluetooth headset (if you own one).
And yes, you can install from CWM. Instructions on first post.
Also, read third post to keep it fast as long and as "hard" as you use it.

How to get sources for CM11 for I9105P?
In "[ROM][4.4.4][UNOFFICIAL][M11]Cyanogenmod 11.0" the location of the device specific source code is given as https://github.com/SamsungBCM-Cyanog..._samsung_s2vep and https://github.com/SamsungBCM-Cyanog...ys2plus-common and https://github.com/SamsungBCM-Cyanog...ys2plus-common.
How can I set up a build environment for the I9105P? I already read (an understood) "Learning to build Cyanogenmod" and getting the CM11 sources with repo is no problem, the only problem remaining is how to specify the above mentioned two device specific sources. Can this be done with a local mainfest in the local_manifest directory? If yes, how does this have to look like and what steps are necessary to sync with these two repositories? Are additional steps specific to the I9105P necessary to start a build?
Vibration
So you said the rom is good for daily use... In the main thread I saw numerous comments about vibration being buggy and sometimes non functional. Is this true? The 4.4.2 cm11 by cooldevelopement has fully working vibration. So should I flash cm11 m11 (4.4.4) or 4.4.2? And in the m11 build, are there any other bugs apart from whats listed under "known issues"? Now Android lollipop is just round the corner I hope to have at least the second latest android version :/ 4.1.2 is starting to show it's age when it comes to app compatibility...

Hi, thanks for replying! I already know there is a 4.2.2 offical firmware for the s2 plus, thanks. I dont know about you, but when I updated it I experienced major lag issues, even after doing a factory reset, claering cache, reflashing, etc. Its overall a terrible update from the almost bug free 4.1.2. However, 4.1.2 is soon 3 versions behind and I was looking into flashing one of these awesome looking ROMs that are running 4.4. (Just love how AOSP looks :3) However, I dont really know which ROM i should flash
I think I have decided to flash a cm rom, anyways, but which version should I flash? I used cooldevelopement's cm11 4.4.2 rom in the past, which seems mostly bug free. However I switched back to stock 4.1.2 due to the old youtube app versions having the pixelated vid that the 4.2.2 stock rom used to suffer from. Is this 4.4.4 cm Better or worse than the older 4.4.2 cm I installed before? Thanks in advance sorry for a long message

[Completed] Accelerometer passes test, fails to actually work!

Hi everyone, I am having a very peculiar issue.
I thought my accelerometer was broken but it seems to pass the test normally (SensorBox).
However, as soon as I boot NOTHING rotates. Well the only thing that rotates (along with the in-app buttons) is my camera and a few racing games which use the accelerometer anyway to steer. But anything else does not, not even videos or photos.
I have tried switching ROMS, I've went from Stock Debloated to -> Complete Stock with no effect.
I spoke with a Motorola Service representative who helped me run some tests but they said they wouldn't touch the device because the Bootloader is unlocked.
Could anyone shed some light? Any ideas?

Greetings and welcome to assist. If you retrurn to complete stock does the issue go away ? I know on samsung devices removing facebook from the rom breaks auto rotate on the phone due to the removal of a lib. I suspect it is something similar here

Thank you for your prompt reply. Unfortunately that doesn't solve the problem. Even with a clean flash the problem persists.

So stock kernel and stock rom it still persists ? I don't know much about your device but it could be the bootloader being unlocked I guess

So I tried a couple of roms. The issue seems to be isolated only in stock based roms, as rotation works fine in AospExtended ROM V1.2. Any guess as to why this might be happening?
