I'm not sure but you could try using one of the play store apps to program your headset keys.

Has anyone noticed that the Motorola g seems to have the problem iPhone had when you hold your phone the signal strength drastically drops. Or is it just my phone?
Sent from Motorola G.
You're holding it wrong

Nope

How are you holding it? Tried everything short of sitting on it and it works fine. No signal drop even though its roaming. Moto G 8GB (T-Mobile UK) on Tele2 Sweden.
It must be my device then. All I'm doing is holding it and I just see the signal drop from full to just one bar. Every time I do it.

The sound is great, the only but is that there is no working volume control. Get it to work via app would be great.
PS. The mic works and function for and/answer call too.
Nexus 4 doesn't support ANY kind of up/down button....
Tested on about 6 headsets

Hey everyone.
I own a Moto G XT 1033 stock KK 4.4.2 ( non rooted locked bootloader )
Pretty happy with phone in every respect.
However something weird has happened.
From this morning whenever I plug in my headsets into the phone for listening the music the music stops and cracks.
Plays bits and pieces and that too the sound comes from the speakers and not the headsets.
Since the stock headsets are too uncomfortable I use Sony's headsets.
I tried with different ones and no use.
The music works fine on speaker but messes up every time is plug in my headsets.
Anyone had the same issue?
Sounds like the headphone jack/port on the device itself is messed up.
Maybe one of the grounds is not working properly, or disconnected all together.

I would. If multiple headsets don't work, chances are the device needs servicing.

As the title says I really hope the volume rockers works on this phone because they didn't work on the 2014 moto x which was a big disappointment for those that use non Bluetooth headsets.
Do you mean volume rockers from the inline controls on wired headphones?

Wired headphones.

Wouldn't that depend on the headphones and not the phone?
I have a Galaxy S 5 right now, and my samsung headphone rocker works just fine. But when I used my skullcandy headphones the rockers didn't work.
It is the headphones. I have some headphones that work and others dont with my phone.

Headphone wirings arent all the same. There are still standards to it. Just like if you plugged in an Apple Earpods it does not work for example on Sony handsets but works on Samsung and Motorola. So basically its all because your headphone wirings does not match the one designed for Moto. So make sure to test and double check before purchasing

Hi all, anyone having issues using wired headphones with a mic while connected to the Mix3? I use my phone for work a lot so this is important to me. I can hear audio, but no one can hear me. It's like the phone isn't picking up the mic on the headset.
Thanks in advance
