I would like to store my music on cloud to save space as I only have a 16GB Nexus 5. Google Music upload service is not yet available in my country
Could someone please recommend an alternative app that's free like Google Music upload service?

Setup a subsonic server.
www.subsonic.org
But after 30 days, it's not free? I heard you will pay every 30days?

The server is free. Premium services are either monthly or annual, take your pick. Third-party apps are either free or cost a few bucks to..you guessed it,..support the devs that give you support back. Kinda like the way Android works.
This is what the written in their latest app
*Welcome to Subsonic
....
After a 30-day free trial period you must upgrade to Subsonic Premium to continue using this app. Enjoy these extra features after upgrading:
So we are forced to pay after 30days.. Hmmm i think that's ok if they have cloud service, but we are using our own machine, why make us pay every month..

Wow, thanks for the info.. Ok this is what i need, thanks
By the way, i also heard something about "mspot",. But its not in google play anymore?

All I could find was MSpot Radio:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mspot.android.music.mspotradiosprint&hl=en
There is a freebie server and app called Qloud, I found it worked okay, but no where near the level of development of Subsonic and it's sharing/control, etc.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mobi.qiss.vega.ad&hl=en
Mate, subsonic requires you to pay after 30days fir the mobile app to keep working with your server
Anyways, i found an alternative, ES File Explorer app. Its a file explorer app but it also lets you setup a cloud account. And you can play music using its built in music player
Downside is its music player lack some feature. But its better than nothing and it works like a charm and best if all its absolutely free!

Google Music can be setup in any country, I did it before it was available in my country officially. Just search on Google and you will find out how to do it.
I'm interested to find alternative to Google Music too
I tried "4shared music" but the player is very not good.

ES File Explorer can't even compare. Give Sub a go for 30 days...12 buck annually is a bargain for what it gives you...granted I'm serving 600 gigs of music.

Google music offers 2 services.
1) purchase music online
2) upload your music collection to the cloud
I think Amazon only does 1? But op wants 2..

You're absolutely correct mate. all in all, I only have 20GB of music that I want to access anytime. My Box cloud account has 50GB of free storage, that's more than enough.
And unlike subsonic, I dont need to turn on my own computer just to access it.

Hey guys,
So I discovered the music streaming service called "deezer".
It's pretty cool, has a good interface online and as an app and has offline support.
Well so far so good. It costs 10€ per month, which is okay to have me.
Sooo my question is if there is something better out there with a bigger library and better android support
Hope you can give me some advice and recommendations.
Thanks in advance.

Camcard is a bit pricey though...still considering between camcard and scanbizcard..but i saw scanbizcard in action on friend's galaxy s2...2 out of 5 times there is always some error in the filelds that it captures..got to manually edit the entry for the contacts.
Thanks..
Camcard is pricey but it works well. I actually tried out quite a few before settling on it. The error rate is very low and it recognized most fields accurately. However, suggest you try a few apps before deciding your self.
I scan about 50 cards a month using it.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to drop by this forum and have a little discussion.
I won a $25 Google Play credit through a Samsung contest, and I was extremely excited to reveive it yesterday.
I immediately went onto the app store and searched for some good games and apps to purchase.
I've been searching for a full day now and honestly haven't made a single purchase. :crying:
I already own great games like Dead Trigger, Shadowgun, FPSe, Final Fantasy III, Dead Space, MC3, DH2.. and apps like Superuser Elite, SetCPU, and Alarm Clock by doubletwist.
I can't seem to find ANYTHING on the Play Store that is striking my interest, but I know that there are some really useful paid apps out there.
So I propose this question. What would YOU buy with $25 in Google Play credit?
I would get a Nexus 7 and get some money off it
Buy power amp...... Titanium backup pro.... It's probably the best paid app on Google Play
Sent from my Xperia Ray using xda app-developers app
I use google music to play my audio because my storage is limited on my One X. Also, I have Backdrop pro which backs up my apps and such to my 30 Gb dropbox.
I have too many games!

I second this!
Rom Toolbox Pro
USB/BT Joystick Center (if you like gaming on Android with a controller)
Audio Evolution
Dink Smallwood (old but great)
4EXT Recovery Control (if you use a 4EXT recovery)

I agree, PowerAmp and Titanium Backup Pro...I'd also get "Wheres My Droid" so that you can find the Nexus 7 you'll buy with what is left

250 dollars isn't it? 25 dollars off that and it's even more amazingly cheap every little helps
For me.. I would probably learn some coding and use that $25 to open an account in play store and sell apps
but..
Titanium Backup Pro

Haha, I actually have already and I have seven apps on the market. Just some work I did for some bloggers that never paid off.
Seems a lot of people are posting Titanium Backup. Don't have much of a use for it with Backdrop. I like the post about the joystick app. I need to buy me a Six Axis!

$25 is enough for paying fee for Developer Signup in Google Play, u can start selling your apps in the play store to gain more money
Already got the dev account. Have a couple apps up there but nothing that anyone would want to download.

I'll suggest PowerAmp as a solid music app.
As for your second question, we here at xda do not condone pirating paid apps. I am under the impression that specific app does just that so you won't find anything except a ban.

Here at XDA asking such questions about "sourcing" protected content for free is a no no.
And +1 for PowerAmp, solid performance on the SGSIII.

Hi, i just published my sony smartwatch 2 new app. It's called SmartMote and it is for player remote control.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cz.zalsky.android.watchremotecontrol
great!
so pitty you haven't done it yesterday when i bought similar plugin for poweramp.
That universal control is what i was looking for
edit:
bought it. App is working as described. Love it. Now i can listem to my audiobooks with controls on my watch. Thank you
Just bought the app myself, seems to be working very nicely. The album art is a very nice touch. Speaking of touch, you've gotten the targets spot on almost for the size of the display, and removing swipes for volume is good too, as swiping is notioriously fiddly with the SW2.
Well done sir!
Tom.
:good: i'am glad you like it. Please don't forget to rate app on Play Store, also comments are welcomed. It's the best way to say thankyou
just have one idea. Can you make something similiar as in poweramp widget? When app is launched screen doesn't lock to clock mode, but dim and for example put small clock ontop, or even not. When i often switch music it is a little bit annoying for me to unlock watch to click 'next'.
Thank you
Sounded good until I got to the "only works with 4.4". Nice work though...
