Camcard is a bit pricey though...still considering between camcard and scanbizcard..but i saw scanbizcard in action on friend's galaxy s2...2 out of 5 times there is always some error in the filelds that it captures..got to manually edit the entry for the contacts.
Thanks..

Camcard is pricey but it works well. I actually tried out quite a few before settling on it. The error rate is very low and it recognized most fields accurately. However, suggest you try a few apps before deciding your self.
I scan about 50 cards a month using it.

Beautiful widgets

I see screenshots with these widgets all over, but android will not allow me to purchase it because I'm in the US. What's the trick? Lots of Brits in this forum?

Really? I purchased it with no issue at all, born and raised in the US. Still here =p

I'm in Florida. I have no problem buying it. Got BW on 3 phones
I have three different credit cards on there and none of them work. I guess it hates me. I remember buying a british app in the past with no trouble, too.

When I used my debit card, I had to call my bank and have them authorize the over seas transaction, however, on my real credit card, i had no issues...
I had no issues purchasing either.

Slickdeals.net official app coming up!!

Slickdeals.net is coming up with official apps for iphone, ipad and android. Im excited about the android app coz I've been following sd for quite some time now. It has saved me $$ on a number of occassions thru great deals. Their forum isnt tapatalk enabled. They have a mobile version of the forum but its not great. Hope the app has most if not all of the capabilities of the website.
Anyone else excited about it?

Right now I follow SD using google reader, it would be nice to view the entire discussion without launching a browser.

Same here. I track a few deal sites, then when I'm looking for a particular deal I use the Google Reader search and it'll hunt through all the deal site listing for me. Pretty sweet.
I'm interested to see how Slickdeals handles an app, search functionality would be a priority for me.

I tried that for few days but rss feed takes some time and was usually late for me. By the time it showed up in g reader, the deal was either gone or too many people have used the coupon making it useless. Is it the same for you?

Google Currents lags

When I open Google Currents and use it in landscape mode it lags like nothing I've ever seen. In portrait mode everything is fine.
Does this happen to someone else?
It just happens on my Transformer on my Nexus it's fine.
I already cleared cache and data.

Yeah, I tried to download Flipboard from the Play Store and it said not available. I'm not seeing much lag at all on Currents. It's quite a bit smoother than on my phone.
Nebucatnetzer, I have the same problem and I'm using the Asus Tranformer Infinity. Did you ever find a solution?

And the award for the fastest hijacking goes to......... "Google Currents lags" Thread. haha
I suggest that someone start a thread for what news app do you use (and please put up a poll, unlike the launchers thread, otherwise you get 100 responses that say "feedly" or "Flipboard"
Ok, back to the point of this thread I have used Google Currents on a couple different devices and its a terrible application. Its slow, clunky and difficult to navigate. Also, it takes up a TON of space over a short time. So yes, Google Currents lags.

Goes to ian1 he didn't even bother with the question.
I have no problems with currents beside the lag. Which is IMO not because of cached rubbish. I can take a video of what I mean.
The only other thing which I would like to have, is the option to hide read articles.

The best feature is that it saves your place when returning to the search list, what a PIA it was constantly scrolling back down a few hundred results. Now they just need to let you filter search results by 'free' like on the website.
I had this on my mind since last year.
I'm on GB (FB's VB) and multi select doesn't work, I have to delete one by one or I'm doing it wrong.
Thanks for the announcement.

The way multi select worked for me is you long press your first item till it selects, then you can select other items.
Hope it helps.

What are you using your $25 on?

So just out of curiosity, what's everyone using there $25 promo on in the app store? I honestly can't think of anything I want that I already don't have. But share away anyway!
For those who don't know what I'm talking about: http://www.samsung.com/us/register-for-your-galaxy-note-8-perks/
I bought SketchBook Pro and Camscanner. If you have the slightest interest in drawing, I highly recommend Sketchbook, it is really fun to use. I also bought Swiftkey for my phone, something I had been meaning to do. I am interested in good productivity apps if anyone has a good suggestion.
I bought Swype and Multiwindow Pro. I purchased the majority of the apps I wanted or needed with the Nexus 7 credit last fall. I might buy the HD version of camscanner.
I definitely recommend getting OfficeSuite Pro and a good reading app. I purchased MoonReader for entertainment reading and ezPDF for classes. I print out my slides as a PDF for class then annotate it using ezPDF.

Yeah I checked and nothing. Contacted Samsung and they are opening a "ticket" for me and I should be getting it.

ill buy Swype. I havent thought anything else. maybe Falcon Pro. since I been hearing good things about it
Assuming I can transfer my apps from my old device (this will only be my second android device), then the only thing that i'd really like is a good office suite.
I have Office Suite Pro and Polaris Office on my Transformer. Not used either extensively though and neither get the best of reviews.
Quick Office Pro is meant to be good though.
I have no idea. I got $25 twice on my Nexus 7...no idea why, but I didn't look a gift horse in the mouth. I still have like $26 of that $50 left and now I got another $25. I imagine I will eventually use it all, but I don't need a thing at the moment.
Woo! Samsung finally gave me my $25! Had to talk to them on Facebook and they finally gave me the code.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Well, I reg'd last night and they sent me a 50% off on any mobile accessory. Really wanted the GPlay credit....
