Remove unwanted apps - Sony Xperia L

what unwanted system app / bloatwares can i remove once i hv rooted XL ?
it will be nice if a list is given.

You can remove all system apps, I have personally removed Sony LIV , Google Chrome only... Sony LIV is useless and Google Chrome uses a lot of memory...

I'm using this list

App to be deleted??

Hi can I ask? I want to make custom ROM from stock ICS for Xperia Tipo.. what app is safe to delete and what doesnt?? I hope anyone can help me with this.. I already search on google but I found nothing relate to this..
well there are some apps which can not be deleted at all
like google partner setup, systemui(status bar) and others
some apps like software update are not needed and are safe to remove
some other apps like phone app, messaging contacts and launcher etc can be replaced by an alternative app
like launcher can be replaced by a good launcher from play store
if you come across an apk you are not sure about, just google for its function
if it is not vital, then remove/replace it
is there any answer like list of it?

Better Battery Life for Core(Rooted)

Here are some tips to increase the battery life of our galaxy core
Requirements-
1.Rooted galaxy core
2.Link2SD(download from google play)
Steps-
1.I noticed that the display used the most % of battery. Then I found out it was because of Touchwiz launcher.
so first thing you should is use a different launcher, eg. HOLO, Nova, Apex
After installing the launcher open link2sd and freeze TouchWiz Home(optional)
2.there are some apps which we don't use and which consume a lot of juice, so use link2sd n freeze them
here's the list of apps-
1.Clock(digital)
2.Clock(funky)
3.Clock(modern)
4.Dual clock(analogue)
5.Dual clock(digital)
6.Favourite Apps
7.Game Hub
8.Music Player(optional)(the default music player uses a lot of battery, if you use other music players the freeze this, otherwise leave it)
9.PageBuddyNotiSvc
10.Samsung Apps
11.Simple Alarm Clock
12.Yahoo! Finance
13.Yahoo! News
Do all these n see if you notice the difference..
I had already applied nova launcer ... but didn't new how to remove touchwiz launcher .... anyways thanks a lot !!

Well It does... The apps I listed use 2-3mb ram each, so if you freeze them more ram will be available which will make your phone faster.
if you want performance over style then install SickSky launcher(free on play store).

yeah i used it and if i use super task killer it will give 400-450 instead of 300-340 ;o HUGE differents!
I now use apex launcher with a galaxy s4 theme looks almost 100% like Real touchwiz. but the one thing that bothers me is that is no labels under the dock icons can i add labels to dock icons on apex ?
GOOD GUIDE BTW!!!
To freeze system apps you neither need root nor any app like Link2sd.All non essential apps can be disabled from application manager itself.Just go to settings/application manager/all and click the app you want to disable and then simply click on disable. To enable just click on enable to enable it again.
wow it's really works, now i have 500mb ram free space . thanks a lot:laugh::good:
im get a better battery life more, thanks for this thread
or just uninstall those bloatwares if your phone's rooted.
Hey thanks, i want to reshare with all my friend
#just_a_note
please don't remove any system app .. this might cause system instability ..just greenify apps that are not in use .. use 2 background processes as maximum thanks
there are many sys apps which are BLOATWARES , you can safely remove them(only non important ones)

bro I think 'bloatware' should be determined by one himself only because like different people have different choices . a weather widget is a bloatware for me but may be useful to you. xperia help app may be a bloatware for you but it might be helpful for someone else !
anyway here are some (xperia e ss)
all those Facebook related apps
all those timescape related apps
retail demo
picasa uploader
picasa extension
YouTube karoke extension
weather widget
Twitter feed
friends music and videos
smart connect
earth (lwp)
black hole (lwp)
voice dailer
update centre (is of no use on a unlocked bootloader/custom rom)
Google search
Google chrome
email app
xperia help
home tips
play movies
news and weather
play magazine
play memories. etc
guess I missed some because im on a custom rom now !

Curious, what have you done with your rooted stock ROM?

Hey everyone,
So, I've just rooted my Xperia Z3. I'd rather not unlock my bootloader to lose low light camera functionality, but I'm curious what y'all have done with your Z3 after rooting but have stuck with stock ROM?
One thing I've done is replace the hosts file to reduce/remove ads from my apps. This has worked well previously so I figured it would work well now.
Any suggestions?

@nedooo,
If you don't mind, can you provide a list of things you've removed from your Z3?
Also, with the system app manager, how do you use that to push updates?
Yes, backups are always great.

I'll try
When you open system app manager and tap any app shown (all apps - installed "white letters", phone system apps "red letters" and "greyed" - updates that can be integrated in system) on top right corner there is big button - "Manage", tap it and select integrate update to system...only one app you must avoid "Android System Webview" do not touch only that app...all rest you can integrate etc...
Well I removed bunch of stuff...Google Now, Maps, Keep, Drive..File Commander...all live wallpapers but Sony one...Small apps...Sony longue...Office...Chinese and Japanese keyboard...
Roughly that's it, but adapt it to your liking...
nedooo,
Are you referring to the Settings > Apps screen? If so, I don't see that option on any apps.

Some of my apps that require root:
Adaway - blocks ads
Greenify - puts apps to sleep when they're not needed.
Better battery stats - helps identifying energy hungry apps.
Afwall+ - Firewall
Recently - makes the recent panel useful again.
I use Tasker with the secure settings plug in (root) to manage brightness, sound, lockscreen security,... And then you have the seemingly endless world of xposed modules, e. g. Xprivacy, true silent mode, app settings, unicon, notify clean, 20mp superior auto, Xperia xposed,...
If you want to, you can stop using your phone and just mod it all day long

No htc apps?

Hey all looking to finally replace my (epic) M8. I hate ads in apps and especially hate google play music. Is is true that there is not very many native htc apps? I always preferred the Htc apps to other 3rd party, and if there is no native htc apps have we found a way to install any of them ? music, mail, calendar, etc.
thanks all
You can install viperU rom and enjoy of all the HTC app.

Most of their apps including a music player are on the Playstore and are easy to download. I personally like PowerAMP and other apps so uninstallable vendor apps being on the Playstore instead of preloaded is a good thing. :good:
