i updated firmware from 15.0.A.1.31 to 15.0.A.1.36, when i buy this phone.
i tried to root after it, but i even cant do PARTIAL ROOT.
motochopper.zip and xperia_L_ROOT.zip both stuck at "daemon started successfully", backup TA(v9.5) cant detect my device.
debugging mode is on and i can see driver installed properly when i connect my phone to my pc.
i hope there is a method root witout unlock bootloader.
anybody has idea or any pros can help?

P.S. bad English doesn't matter :good:
You will only get partial root access with a locked boot-loader for full root you have to unlock boot-loader
Try other root tools, first totally unroot if you have installed super su remove it and go to Development options and allow mock locations,[I kept it on while rooting and got succeeded. :good:
Please upload a full video of rooting xperia l

there us one app called framaroot... it gives you partial root access (after enough trys) and that will be enough for TA backup. You will do that backup an afterwards unlock the bootloader. Then just flash extended stock kernel or vengeance kernel for root. Sounds easy right? it is if you have a clue about that flashing thing. Just pay attention about drivers and all will be fine

Hii Guys,i am new to this site.. I making this Thread because i need help in unlocking my bootloader of my device ( moto g 1st gen lollipop 5.0.2 XT 1033 ). I was planning to root my device and followed every instructions posted here http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/help/guide-root-xt1032-xt1033-moto-g-running-t2965507 but when i connect my device to pc its not getting detected . How to fix this guys?? is it because my bootloader is locked if it is please Give me the link which explains how to unlock the same.
Thanks in Advance
From what I understand, your problem is with the Motorola ADB drivers. I guess you have not installed them in your PC. I assume you are running the unlock/root procedure on a Windows 7 PC. Well, in that case, you may want to install the Motorola Device Manager.
Another assumption is that you have forgotten to enable USB debugging. If so, you have to navigate to the Developer Options in Settings and enable it. In case you don't see the Developer Options, navigate to About Phone under settings and tap on the Build Number 7 times. Then you'll see them under the Settings menu.
EDIT:
The post you mentioned is only for the people with an unlocked bootloader. However, it (CF AutoRoot) works for both. Please reboot into bootloader and check the device status. If it says LOCKED, YOU WILL HAVE TO BACKUP ALL OF YOUR DATA first. The CF AutoRoot script attempts to unlock your bootloader if it is locked and in that case, it erases all of your data.
Hit Thanks if it helped..
I tried cf auto root but it didn't working plz help me

Device not detected: Is the USB cable a power-only one? Charger-only USB cables leave off the communication portion of their bundled cables to save $$$
Never mind got it working ... Here is how you properly do it :
Steps :
1. Unlock bootloader ( visit Motorola website and follow instructors .. No other way )
2.install custom recovery ( twrp for example )
3.flash SuperSu
Root access gained
Is there a way to re-lock the bootloader if staying stock?
I used "fastboot oem unlock <unlock code>" to unlock but when I tried using
"fastboot oem lock begin <unlock code>" it didn't take
Hi, guys
I'm new to XDA so if this is the wrong subforum for this kind of question just tell me where to post it.
So I recently bought a new phone, a Hisense U800 Infinity H6.
I installed an OTA, and then rooted the device using Kingo on windows out of desperation (No other rooting method available).
When I try to do a OTA update now, I get a message in broken chinese-english that says:
"Your phone has been root or by brush! "
It's quite obvious that my rooting the phone revoked ota privileges. I've tried unrooting and it doesnt work, also, there is no recovery available for my device.
Is there a way I can restore this?
Any help would be appreciated.
%%%%%%
Additional Info:
Using Fast boot i was able to determine that the bootloader is unlocked.
Now i don't know if Kingo did this or if it was unlocked by default. I guess i should've checked this first.
BUMP
Or if anyone can tell me how to fix the ringing volume thats not responding to volume down. Either maximum or off.
Kitkat 4.4.2
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA Assist Since you have unlocked bootloader there is no way to relock it hence even if you flash stock chances are high system will detect bootloader unlock.
Good Luck!
This phone(honor 4c indian edition) belonged to my friend and he rooted with kingo root app and aftewards unrooted it. Then he gave it to me to do it properly on opening the fastboot mode i've discovered that the bootloader was unlocked, so i tried flashing twrp recovery but it failed and just showed command not allowed. Ive tried factory reset, updating firmware by upadate.app, ive even tried flashing the stock rom through fastboot(extracted from the update.app) but nothing works . So as a last resort i came here , please tell me what to do right now.
Note: the phone was always on stock rom and nobody intentionally tried to unlock the bootloader im guessing the kingo root did it. And it also does not work right now.

Kingo root and other such apps use exploits to get the root done. Not the safe way to do.
You just have to unlock the bootloader using the standard procedure for your phone and you are good to go.
It does not matter that it's unlocked, just do it again once more.
Just google or search here on XDA and enjoy your phone.

Have you turned on USB debugging and OEM unlock in the developer options?
Developer options can be seen after repeatedly tapping build number 7 times.

I don't own a 4C now but if I remember correctly, there used to be something like that or may be I am mistaken.
Anyways, firing fastboot devices does show your device in the listed devices?
And have you tried flashing an image again after firing that unlocking command?
Yes it does show up in fastboot devices

Nope, thank you for teaching me that if unlock command does not work, one can do the above steps to make it work.
We are even then:highfive:
