[Q]how to root Xperia L C2105 15.0.A.1.36? - Sony Xperia L

i updated firmware from 15.0.A.1.31 to 15.0.A.1.36, when i buy this phone.
i tried to root after it, but i even cant do PARTIAL ROOT.
motochopper.zip and xperia_L_ROOT.zip both stuck at "daemon started successfully", backup TA(v9.5) cant detect my device.
debugging mode is on and i can see driver installed properly when i connect my phone to my pc.
i hope there is a method root witout unlock bootloader.
anybody has idea or any pros can help?
sorry for my bad english.

Use framaroot...there is thread about it...do some searching

P.S. bad English doesn't matter :good:
You will only get partial root access with a locked boot-loader for full root you have to unlock boot-loader
Try other root tools, first totally unroot if you have installed super su remove it and go to Development options and allow mock locations,[I kept it on while rooting and got succeeded. :good:

Please upload a full video of rooting xperia l

there us one app called framaroot... it gives you partial root access (after enough trys) and that will be enough for TA backup. You will do that backup an afterwards unlock the bootloader. Then just flash extended stock kernel or vengeance kernel for root. Sounds easy right? it is if you have a clue about that flashing thing. Just pay attention about drivers and all will be fine

[Q] Sony J root noob question

Hi.
I'm kinda noob in this root thing. I have a Sony J with 11.2.A.0.31 and i want to install CM10 (freexperia project).
Do root and unlock bootloader the same thing? do i need to do both? or just need to follow the sony website instructions http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions?
After that? do i just have to folow these steps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1997251?
And another question if i ever want to go back and put the phone just like i bought it, can i do it?
Thanks.

First root your phone then unlock bootloader by that solution.
But unlock bootloader will lose DRM keys permanent, Bravia Engine (not sure Xperia™ J have or not)
I recommend you to backup the DRM keys first (search how to backup the keys)
And after that just follow the instruction to install CM10.
Last you can back your phone to normal but you will lose DRM keys.(you can restore if you have backup)

Thanks Ben
So i rooted my device with this method, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2327472, this also instaled SuperSU.
Now following the instructions on sony website to unlock bootloader it says
First, you should confirm that it is possible to unlock the boot loader of your device by checking the service menu. In your device, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu. If you have a tablet, click here to learn how access the service menu.
In your device, tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.

Unlock bootloader: no. There is no workaround / tespoint method yet. You can only root and use roms for locked bootloader. Cm10 needs unlocked bootloader.

Thanks, I think I'll stick with stock then. I just want cm10.

[Q] Can i install the android 4.2.2 stock ROM without unlocking the bootloader

I have my boot loader locked and without the possibility of unlocking it because, my phone operator have locked as you can see in the image bellow and I want to install the new stock ROM with flashtool.
Thanks and sorry for my bad English
Yes you can, I also have a locked bootloader and I just updated yesterday, but I'm not sure if you can update with flashtool. Install PC Companion and when you connect your phone via USB there will be a huge green text saying that there's an update for your phone.
He can with flashtool

The problem is that when I connect my phone to PC, PC companion says that my phone it's update. I'm from El Salvador ( America) and Probably de update has not reached my country yet( and it probably won't) so, I want to try with flashtool only if I will not have problems because of the bootloader.

[Q] Rooting Help!

Hi!
Sorry if someone has already covered this but I really tried to find threads but I was too confused.
I have rooted two devices before, but this is my first Sony device. I am on latest 4.2.2 firmware with build no.15.3.A.1.12.
If you can please tell me the best way to root my device, that would be great. I want to overclock my cpu and maybe install a custom kernel. Will root be enough or do I have to unlock my bootloader to?
Thankyou in advance,
WahajAyub

Thanks for the quick reply but how can I install a custom kernel? Does it require unlocking the bootloader?
Edit: And could you tell me that does installing pc companion make a difference? Should I uninstall it?
well for me not. there is was and will be problems with pcc so i always install seus instead. they are nearly the same but seus has less bugs
for your first question, yes installing kernel needs unlocked bootloader, there is a guide on the forum so i think rthat if you can (some ppl cant) unlock it you shouldnt have any problems with that
Thanks

Hi mate!
Have you tried to root via this http://www.unlockroot.com/ ?
You can download free version and don't use flashtool via rooting.
If you try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2033114
or something similar to that way, remember about shutting down adb.exe process with ctrl+ald+del and in processes find adb.exe
Give me feedback if it worked
Edit: And remeber about one of most important things: enable unknown sources and usb debugging

You should use UnlockRoot i'm using this because it's fastest way in my opinion. Rooting takes max 5 minutes. As for the "Bootloader unlock allowed: No" i have the same problem mate but you can root using UnlockRoot anyway While rooting shut down your anti virus
