I have recently rooted my Moto RAZR MAXX XT910, AKA Motorola Spyder. As far as i can tell this is an uncommon model, which makes it hard to troubleshoot issues. I'm still running the stock ROM and would prefer to keep it, i have installed safestrap-spyder and upgraded the kernel to Siyah-s2-v4.1.5. Everything is working fine except the camera. The camera can take pictures but they never fully save. When i open the gallery i get an error processing image message. I tried upgrading the camera to the gallery3d.apk, but it didn't seem to make any difference.
Can anyone offer any advice?
UPDATE after some more adjustments, everything is working except the video camera, i now get the error "unfortunately gallery has stopped" when i try to record in 480p, 720p or 1080p.
I'd still appreciate any help anyone can offer

I have a g tablet (viewsonic) and installed this new update and everything works great except my video camera keeps getting jammed 2 secs into recording and it forces close. My question is I'm I supposed to install something from the market for it?

I have a DHD with a Vietnamese IME (Froyo) I bought in India. Was working fine till I flashed Android_Revolution_HD-4G_Telus_RC2.zip. Now I get message saying UIDs are incorrect, format or whatever. I could live with that because most apps had to be just uninstalled and reinstalled and they worked fine. BUT, my video recording does not work anymore, and my stock browser refuses to work.
Please help me before I go crazy!

Hi folks, my apologies if this is a known issue but i'm asking as the amount of info is monumental. Have been having a playback issue for a while now but i need to get to the bottom of it and was hoping someone here may shine some light on it. As the title says youtube play back is pretty poor. I have a rooted Tf101 running KatKiss 4.4.4 with the latest youtube version and constantly get stutters freezes and buffering. Thought it might be my Wifi but with my phone (LG G3) i have no such problems. Have tried clearing cache and app data, reinstalling and even older versions but with no luck. I have also tried overclocking with no luck, so am i wasting my time and this will never work properly or is there something i am missing. Again thanks for any help offered.
You need to lower the quality to 480p or use an older version.
Search forum for the latest version that works.
Will try it at a lower res first, thanks. Seems to do the trick but noticed that the 480p setting has gone. It's either 360p which is terrible or 720 which appears to be to much. 480 was good middle ground, (still shows on my G3) which is the same YouTube version. Any ideas on how I can get it back?

today I went back from 5.1 GPe to 5.0.1 stock firmware. now i have the problem that my sound is not working anymore, especially in apps like youtube or twitch, if i recieve a message it is actually working so it must be a software error. same with the mic. when i record a video it is working, if i call somebody or record a whatsapp message it is not working. i tried to flash different roms but nothing works.
does anybody has a tip for me to fix this?

I brought Moto G last week. 2 days before i noticed an issue with my rear camera. After taking 2-3 photos it goes blur. Even if i restarted the camera app, Same issue is showing again. I informed this issue to Flipkart. They told me to install an app called Smartcheck. They remotely checked my device and told that there is not issue with my device. I updated all the apps even android latest update too. But still showing the same issue. can anybody help me to fix this issue ?
Are you using the aosp camera? I had the same issue with that app, myself on a CM -based rom. I had to switch to the google camera app, and everything worked just fine.
