Finally, I got the white screen blinking problem solved by JTAG. I took my phone to repair shop to just see if its quick fix and he used JTAG(http://www.jtagbox.com) to reload the corrupt bootloader. All the problem was due to corrupt bootloader

Bricked my Galaxy S3 please help

Ok this is kinda silly, but it happened.
I was charging my Samsung Galaxy S3 GT something (UK version) via the chargeable USB port on my Samsung n150 notepad with the laptop switched off. During this time I was playing N.O.V.A 3 on my Galaxy S3.
As I was playing I switched the laptop on. As the phone was already charging via the USB I didnt think there would be a probably. But when Windows booted to my log in screen, the phone froze and switched off. Now my Galaxy will not switch on. I can only get it to charge and thats all.
Please help!!

Wait so you have the international version? Shouldn't you post this in that forum? This is Verizon.

Agreed and that is strange how that worked op. Never heard of anything like that. Tried a battery pull I assume?
Sent from a strange blue box hurtling through time and space.
Need more info first. Can you get into DL mode? Recovery? The only thing I could think of would be a power surge when you turned the laptop on caused the phone to fail (highly unliklely).
While browsing through our list of threads reported as 'Newsworthy' for the XDA Portal, I just came across this one. I wonder whose big idea was to report it as newsworthy. Whoever that was needs a healthy dose of common sense.
PS: Mods, can you please move it to the appropriate forum i.e. the one for the international version?
Happened to a Verizon GS3
My Verizon GS3 was turned completely unresponsive (absolutely dead), with no boot of any sort after I unplugged and then plugged in a USB DAC (Fiio E7). I had been using the E7 for several days but today connecting it to the GS3 through USB To Go killed it.
I have read other instances of the same phenomenon.

[Q] Red 'x' on Battery when Unplugged

I've had a look and can't find anything specifically matching my issue...
I've recently acquired a Tab 2 7.0 off eBay, and I've updated it from 4.1.1 to 4.2.2, the official upgrade. The Tab is stock and unrooted. I've been using the original travel charger to charge it (5v, 2A). There is no issue with charging, and the Tab discharges normally, it lasts about two days per charge.
My problem is that while the device is unplugged, there is a red 'x' on the battery. So the device for some reason thinks it's charging, but not getting enough power. In actual fact, because it is unplugged, it is getting NO POWER. With GSAM Battery Monitor installed, GSAM advises "Charging: Time to Full: Calculating - check back later".
There is no other issue with the Tab. Any idea what this might be, and if I can repair it myself?
Thanks for your help...
I did not have this kind of issue with my Tab since one year.
I think you should factory reset your tab which will solve your problem.

I have an original Galaxy Tab as well, so I will swap around the leads. As I say, there's no issue with charging, it's just the battery symbol when the Tab 2 is discharging. And it doesn't give me an estimate of time left before the battery drains.
I've already factory reset the Tab, but may try that again if there is no other way in a day or two...
Thanks for your suggestions.

OK I said that because my friend have same problem and I use the charger and cable from other tab and the X gone.

Even stranger...
When I plug the cable into the Tab, even though it is unattached to a power source, the red x disappears.
Then when I unplug it, the x returns.
To be clear, the cable is detached from the plug and carrying no power, at this point.
I tried a factory reset, no joy. I did try wiping the cache while in recovery but got an error.

Thanks, that would be a shame. As I bought it cheaply off of eBay, it's probably not under warranty any more, so I would have to pay Samsung for the fix - which kind of negates the benefit of the cheap deal from eBay...
Ohh.
I was also suffered from display issue out of the box fault.
My tab display is blinking very fast at 50% or less britness.
I requested to replace and give new but they did not give new and replace only display even though problem was not solved.
Finally i forgot that i have that kind of problem... Haha

[Q] Device Won't Power On or Boot to Recovery, Please Help

Hey Guys,
I'm not sure if this is hard bricked, soft bricked, or just altogether screwed. It's a stock Verizon SCH-I535 my wife had and wasn't rooted or anything. One day it just woke up off the charger and wouldn't turn on. Removing the battery and turning it on, it'll show the Samsung Galaxy SIII splash page and then go to a black screen. It will not boot into recovery, just vibrates then shows a black screen. It will boot into Download mode, however the Samsung Upgrade Assistant freezes at 83% when trying to repair it and Odin just hangs at SetupConnection... or Initializing...
I've tried different usb ports and cables. I've tried instructions from various threads such as
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1840030
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586319
flashing a .PIT file and everything else I could find, to no avail. Is it just time to throw in the towel or is there something else worth trying? Thank you,
Nila
Bump
Bump, bump bump bump. Is there any way to check if this is hardware related?

Have you tried using a new battery? I would be VERY surprised if it was a software issue if you hadn't messed with it prior. I'd be even more surprised if it was a hardware issue other than something like just a toasted battery

Thanks for the thought. I borrowed a friend's battery and it was the same. Just stopped on the Galaxy SIII splash screen and then went to black. I'm probably going to call it toasted and go for an S5.

Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P3100 Battery Charging Issue

Hello All,
I'm desperately in need of help. I have a Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P3100 which has a bootloader issue. I was working on it trying to solve the issue before the battery dies since I won't be able to charge it. (I kept getting the battery animation with the progress circle not spinning) Anyways, now the battery is completely drained out and can't be charged through the tablet. I managed to pop the back cover out and remove the battery. It has 5 terminals; 2 black (Negative), 2 Red (Positive), and 1 Blue (Temperature I believe) {See attached photos}. I have tried every trick I can think of or find online to force charge the battery to no avail. I have tried to connect it to a wall charger using a USB cable after I cut the micro USB end and match red with red and black with black but no luck. I tried charging it using a power adapter with adequate output but no luck.
Now I'm hoping I could find someone here who has managed to trick the battery to charge. Any tip, comment, or help are appreciated.
Thank you all in advance
Anyone? Please?
