Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P3100 Battery Charging Issue - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello All,
I'm desperately in need of help. I have a Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P3100 which has a bootloader issue. I was working on it trying to solve the issue before the battery dies since I won't be able to charge it. (I kept getting the battery animation with the progress circle not spinning) Anyways, now the battery is completely drained out and can't be charged through the tablet. I managed to pop the back cover out and remove the battery. It has 5 terminals; 2 black (Negative), 2 Red (Positive), and 1 Blue (Temperature I believe) {See attached photos}. I have tried every trick I can think of or find online to force charge the battery to no avail. I have tried to connect it to a wall charger using a USB cable after I cut the micro USB end and match red with red and black with black but no luck. I tried charging it using a power adapter with adequate output but no luck.
Now I'm hoping I could find someone here who has managed to trick the battery to charge. Any tip, comment, or help are appreciated.
Thank you all in advance

Anyone? Please?

It will most likely be the USB cable. Order a new sync cable and I'm confident that will resolve your problem.

Ahh this is another issue altogether, seen a few threads relating to this issue of dock stuck at 0%, dock should normally say 3% charge, there are methods/ ideas on fixing it, ull have to do some googling. as i dont have time atm (hint: http://www.transformerforums.com/) good luck.
If your dock battery went completely flat, there is a chance that a switch inside the dock changed state to disable dock battery charging.
Why it does this, I have no idea. But if you think you can handle opening the dock (2 screws under the back feet then slowly snap it apart from one of the back corners) and look for a switch to toggle. I am pretty sure it is the only toggle switch inside the dock.
I've got the same problem... I'll probably open it up at some point but before I do does anyone know if this could be a firmware issue? I got my tf101 and immediately started flashing stuff on it and didn't even check to see if I was running ICS. I know that there was a dock firmware update that came with ICS and I'm curious if this issue is related.

I opened the I very done all instructions still not charging I think it is broken forerver
I have the same problem. But I found out the dock Battery connector & the pad Battery connector is the same so I remove both connector. use the pad to charge up the dock Battery. Finally saw 1% on my dock Battery after 5 min. Hope that everything goes well.

Getting 9% charge now......
Edit. After charging overnight when connect back still in 0% state. Look like it will remain 0% forever.
I am having the same issue with the base not charging the tablet AND I am also have an issue where the SD card is not recognised by the OS.
Did you have the same issue with the SD card reader?

[Q] tf300t Dock Battery Issue

Hei guys,
So, I got my Docking station yesterday. I charged it more than 8 hours but the Light beside the charging port wouldn't turn Green but remained Orange. So, I decided to plug my tablet in for the first time. It says that the Dock is charged 94%. So, I put it on charging again but no difference.
So, my dock battery won't charge more than 94% and the light will also not turn Green.
Thought i could ask you guys. You surely would know more than me.
Thanks for all help.
Happend to me this week too, tried/checked all sort of things but got stock at either 65/90%.
as a last resort before throwin it out of the window, i pulled my sd-card and plugged the tab with the dock in to the recharger.....bang...recharging without having to fiddle with the connectors so now its charged 100%. Dunno what will happen in the following days but you me too give it a shot.
Hope it solves the charging problem.
Good luck
Thanks for the info bro.
I just have a sd-card in my tablet but the Dock has no sd card in it. But I am going to try to take the sd card out of the tablet and charge both the tablet and the dock together, like you did. Let's see if that works.
mmmm looking good sofar....
- battery in dock always charges
- tablet a certain point didnt charge beyound 65%
after resetting everything (my tab is still locked with official firmware)
- removed sd card from tab.
When original cable is inserted in either tab or dock, everything is charging as it should be so for now all works fine again but still i find it all a little strange. Lets see how it hold the next couple of days.

[Q] My SGT 7.7 just died. Now what?

I went to sleep after reading for a while on my SGT 7.7 and wake up to find the tablet completely unresponsive. I thought that it might have a dead battery, so I plugged in the charger - the stock one - and didn't get any response from the tablet what-so-ever. I didn't get the battery charging animation or even any screen response at all. I tried pressing the power button, even holding it in for way past 10 seconds, but still no response.
I figured maybe it was a really low battery, so I left it on the charger all day. I checked on it several hours later and still got no response at all. I tried a different charger: still no response. I left it on the charger for a while longer. A few hours later I could finally get a response from the tablet. It would show a battery animation that I hadn't seen before. It looked different than the standard low-battery-device-off charging animation. I tried to power it up by holding the power button and got nothing but the weird charging animation.
So I left it on the charger for several more hours - overnight. I got the same results the next morning. Just that odd charging animation, but no battery status or power-up.
Finally I gave it up for dead.
Does anyone here have any ideas what I might be able to do to revive my tablet? Or what's wrong with it? Would a battery replacement fix it?
Try using a good AC 2A charger to "kick start" it. From memory, the stock one is only 1.0A (I don't use it anymore) . Leave it on charge for a while and cross fingers. May or may not work.....

Another thing you could try is to open it up with similar tool.
Then Un plug battery for a while then replace it and try boot it.
Have read people doing this from similar situations with other
Tabs.....
It's not that hard either just make sure to look up the YouTube video
Of battery removal first and then follow what they did...I just had
Mine apart as got it wet...mines all good now.
Thanks guys. I'll give them both a try - if necessary!

Note 3 charging/note charging

So I have a galaxy note 3 tmobile and I plug it in to charge via micro USB and it shows the phone is charging but the phone doesn't actually charge? When I try to charge it through the mains whilst turned off, it just vibrates every 2 seconds and shows a line across the screen as though something was going to show but stopped. Kind of thing you would see with a knackered screen. It works just fine when powered on and I don't have a spare battery. I know it's not the cable because I have 3 different ones and it happens with all of them. Anyone know what this is?? Please help

hi ivan, i have the same problem since yesterday on my note 3 n9005. I dont know how to fix it also others dont have any answers in the forum did you resolve the problem on your own
thanks
I got this problem yesterday. Phone went from 74% to 1% in a matter of hours. now when i plug it in to the wall charger it also vibrates.
Been lurking around google and many people seem to have this issue and they all talk about the power button being stuck. I took the phone apart and it seems with the note3 they used a different power button than the note and note2 .
Now if i have the phone off and pull the battery the constant vibrating seems to stop. Ill let you know if it does in fact charge while being off but Im running out of ideas. Anyone have any advice?

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Tab II 7" Ran Out Of Juice And Won't Charge.

My tablet just died recently with the red x over the thunderbolt. I plugged my tablet with its charger that it came with into the wall and PC. It would turn on and show me the loading circle and the battery. Next, it would show the battery charging but it stops after 1 blue bar and then turns off. And It repeats over and over again. Does it have to do with my tablet or my charger/charger cord? I have already tried all the button combinations and other methods I have found in other forums and they don't work for me. Is this a battery issue? I've had it for 2 years and got it refurbished. Please help me!
