[Q] My HTC CHACHA Touch is not responding - HTC ChaCha

After my Warranty Period is Over about a Month ago my Chacha is not responding properly :crying:
and Searching in XDA is found a app Called SGS Screen Booster u can also find it in Google Play for free
after Installing it touch worked Fine for about a week and now it is not working correctly again
And After all That i ordered a touch screen digitalizer from Ebay for about 15$ but i didn't put the digitalizer
because one thread updated gave me information on that it didn't do any good replacing touch screen
So i thought it was a software problem and i tried to root but i coudn't Because i needed to Downgrade ruu
Android Version 2.3.5
HTC Sense Version 2.1 for Messenger
Software Number 1.57.415.4 it must be 1.57.415.3 to be S-off Bootloader
I know few things about how to operate i am not a complete noob
But i am new to forum so i need help from old members who know how to fix this problem

Just out of curiosity, which thread is that where you have found a possible solution? When I had this phone the top half of my touchscreen was not working, and I replaced the entire LCD+Digitizer assembly and it made no difference. The top half of the screen was not still working, so I was just wondering if I could do more for my device.
Regarding your issue, if I remember this right you do not need to downgrade in order to unlock your bootloader. Just skip the first step regarding the update of hboot and continue unlocking the bootloader, because the hboot has already been updated with the latest software version.

[Q] How to go from branded to unbranded and beyond?

Hi!
First i want to say that i know that there must be other threads about this problem but my lack of knowledge in these matters has made it very difficult to actually know what to look for.
I have a htc Sensation, which is branded (for an operator called the three).
My goal is in the current situation to try to get the original version of the HTC Sense. The version you get on a non-branded version of HTC Sensation.
Later I am thinking about getting CM7, but that is not relevant here
When i started to look into how to proceed I found that I know very little about these things.
And so I turn to you for help.
My first question is: Can you use HTC's official method to unlock the bootloader on a branded phone? I have software number 1.45.771.4 (which is 2.3.4) but on HTC's website it says that you should have 1.45.401.2.
If not, what is the next best way to unlock the bootloader?
My second question is: Can you somehow get the original version of the HTC Sense? I do not mean a custom version of the original, but the actual original? Is there any relevant difference?
My third and final question is: How do I install the original version of the HTC Sense on my phone?
Hope I have explained well enough and that someone has the desire to help me with my small troubles

i uses this thread to debrand my vodafone device (it is rooted via revoltionary tools) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1193033
Sent from my Sensation using XDA App
Maybe i should clarify that i think it is kind of scary to use unofficial methods and i would like to find a way that are as "Safe" as possible.
I know that "Safe" may have little to do with the method being official or not but i would first like to explore the official ways before turning to the unofficial ones simply because i think that they are scary.
The ONLY way to debrand is:
1. S-OFF
2. Write the Super CID to your phone
3. Flash an unbranded ROM to your phone
This is easily done with the Revolutionary method, and is 100% reversible should you need to return the phone

[Q] What RUU for HTC Wildfire?!

Hey guys. I want to go ahead and start the process of rooting my HTC Wildfire, but the problem is, the current Revolutionary build supports only the 1.01.0001 HBOOT version. Mine is (you guessed it) 1.01.0002.
Luckily, HTCDev.com has finally launched their Bootloader unlock process that seems to be considerably easier than using GoldCard (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1145035).
Problem is, when I get down to the RUU download list on the first page of instructions, my carrier isn't there (I currently live in Malaysia and use Maxis). There is, however, an HTC WWE RUU at the bottom available for download.
A little help guys, cause I'm VERY new to this all and would REALLY love some help on what to do from the most badass Android community on the net.

[Q] HTCdev error. "Unlock token check failed"

I get this error on the 12th step on htcdev bootloader unlock thingy and i get this error: FAILED (remote: unlock token check failed)
I have tried different methods but nothing have worked ...
I have tried to unistall and then restart and then installed all the drivers again 2 times, didnt work. I tried on my laptop and that wouldnt work either...
So if anyone know what this means or anything please answer on this thread!!
I also e-mailed the htcdev support and they said this: "Dear Pontus,
Thank you for contacting HTC.
I understand that you are experiencing problems unlocking your bootloader.
I think the root of the problem is that your unlock token is not valid.
To get a new, hopefully working, token go to HTCdev.com and follow the instructions there to download one."
Ive tried to do that also but it didnt work either so please guys help me out here!!!

What Version of hboot Do you have now?
I get mine back from warranty repair with 1.29.0000, cause they put a new Board in it.
May be there is an experience developer who want an image of my Stockrom to check some possibilities?

yeah same as, 1.29.0000
I have the same problem. Only difference is that I got my phone back with HBoot 1.18.0000. I could't unlock it via revo and htc dev. After the ICS update I have 1.27.0000. New board, too I think their doing this for every sent in sensation, because my sensation had a broken volume button and dust under the screen. So changing the board was completly pointless.
Is there new news or solution to unlock bootloader?..i am on new matherboard.
I've got the same, rooted phone back from repair. ICS preinstalled, HBOOT 1.29 and can't unlock it. Don't fancy the 'juopunutbear' method bridging connections etc, sounds messy.
Whole list of parts replaced for the dust under the screen problem, board changed giving new imei, wifi mac, bt mac etc etc.
I've replied to my 'repair thread' on HTC website telling them of the problem, I bought HTC so I could unlock and use OpenVPN. Will see what they say!
OK, update from me. I've logged a support request with HTCDEV, after going through the usual check details / make sure it's not something I'm doing wrong they're escalating it.
Given them details of serial number, IMEI, android/sense versions etc and it's being looked into.
I'll come back here once I've had something new from them, but at least the problems being looked at.
I Get This From htc_dev when I send that i flash Unlock_code.bin FAILD:
With regards to your enquiry, kindly this message means that you still have update so kindly we ask you to have the last update then try to unlock your bootloader.NOTE: as we mentioned in our last email between us that unlocking bootloader will make you out of warranty.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
WTF this means ???

Desire S met with bootloader error

My Desire S hasn't been working properly. It stuck at bootloader screen and had the phrase **security warning** at the top of the screen instead of commonly seen words **locked** or **unlocked**. Could anybody show me how to solve this problem? And if I send my phone to HTC service center, what will they do with it? Is it necessary to replace another chip flash?
Please help me.
Hi there,
What you describe doesn't necessarily mean you have a hardware problem. If I recall correctly, you get the warning when you unlock, flash custom recovery, relock and try to get into recovery (other examples would also result in this warning).
You could simply flash a ruu which matches your device through fastboot. Then unlock, root etc.
Sent from my HTC One X
Thanks ! Thanks for your answer ! Now, I have to send it to a service center of htc. You can know exactly what they will do with it.
I just received a message from htc. They said that my phone to change the mainboard and broken touchscreen . Damn.
Broken touch screen? Was it broken when you sent it?
Is it still under warranty?
Sent from my HTC One X
it still works perfectly normal before **security warning**. and it's out of warranty. I really do not believe that it was error touchscreen

screen artifacts

Hey,
Just got my HTC One X (the AT&T american version) a couple of weeks ago and I'm having some problems with the screen, the same as the youtube video "HTC One X screen artifacts" (sorry, the forum doesnt allow me to post the link)
I read somewhere that the only way to fix it is getting a new one, or updating my phone firmware to 1.29 or above.
I'm trying to update it, but I'm still having those strange artifacts on my screen.
Does anyone know how to do it manually? Without using the phone screen, only the computer.
Thanks

U can always RUU your device for the latest firmware...
but then if you have SUPERCID make sure u have SOFF as well cause if not your device will get bricked..
so download a Rom Upgrade Utility and the update your firmware.
BUT since you say that you have just bought the phone (no offence) assuming you haven't achieved SOFF your best course will be to send it to the HTC center in your city it should be in warranty since its new.
I got it in America, but I live in Brazil.
Don't know if they have a assistance over here.
I'm gonna look for this.
Thanks a lot.

Screen artifacts were a known issue on the quad core Tegra3 One X (ENDEAVORU), but I haven't heard anything about this for the dual core S4 EVITA (which the AT&T version is). And the firmware number you refer to also does not apply to EVITA.
What you are experiencing sounds like a hardware issue. You can try to RUU as previously mentioned. But I don't think it will solve your problem. Is the phone modded? S-on or s-off, bootloader locked or otherwise, SuperCID? What is your current hboot and firmware version?
And since you have a US version, I do not think you will have warranty coverage in Brazil.
