Hey all...
Here's a little something to help with that bitter-sweet taste that 4.2.2 left us (if you haven't yet gotten them)... the official updated media apps from Sony.

It seems you're not on 4.2.2. Walkman is only for 4.2.2.

"Account Manager" is required, but I can't get it from Market ("not available in your country")

The updated apps aren't packaged in 4.2.2 by default and will officially be pushed to the OS via OTA updates soon. Albums will install on 4.1.2, but it will be buggy. The other apps will give parsing errors.

Is there a trick to finding out what version I have currently?

What do you mean? Versions of these apps?
You can.. Just go to settings then apps then swipe to All and find the album, walkman, movies and tap and its under their name

Ok thanks, I was looking for something in the app itself, but should have realised I could get it from the app manager. Sorry about that.
Great update btw, it now makes music unlimited have a nice and modern interface, unlike the music unlimited app itself.

I was a bit disappointed with the new walkman app once I updated. I was looking forward to "integrated Music Unlimited"
All it really does is add a button within walkman, which launches the Music Unlimited app separately.

Its fairly integrated for me, as in my playlists are there, as well as the channels and search, which searches music unlimited.
I can also offline items directly from the walkman app.

Tried to see if making an offline playlist showed up in Walkman, but It wont let me, saying I have too many devices activated. I don't know how to deauthorize android devices I have sold in the past.

Works for me on my tablet Z.
It appears I can now see Charts and New Releases from MU; very nice
Edit: Its fast AND when you create an album playlist it creates with the name of the album you are creating the playlist from; Oh yes, missed that from spottily...now happy.
Go into playstation/sony account and deactivate from there.

Though it's indeed free in Play, it says that my device (Xperia S) is incompatible! But it works just fine!

Did it work fine on yours?
Mine can capture fine, but after I tried to save it, the progress bar are either stuck on 95% or 98%, then I got black screen when I leave it for a while, the picture is saved though, but as static image..
Do I need on stock rom? I'm on CM10 btw.

The file is saved as .gif and CM gallery can't play .gif animations and shows them as static images. View the file from some app which can play .gif animations e.g., Xperia album app. You can get it for CM also. Search here in "Android apps and games" section.

I'm having a small issue. Artist images aren't downloading. Box is checked and download over WiFi is checked as well. Apollo downloads artist images so I'm not sure what the deal is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, the renamed version of Apollo it's free, the 1 dollar version has a built-in equalizer and a power consumpltion reduction (some friends helped me with this stuff). Anyway the pro version, not the free, isn't just a renamed version, you'll verify that at the release of Pure Audio 2. The mod and this app are correlated, and for enjoying the PureEQ you have to install my mod

You must attack a free version APK or the XDA version due to some people not being able to access the play store in certain countries. Moderators said it like 20 billion times. I think those are the rules :good:

It's really subjective, anyway according to my testers and other users PureAudio is better than other euqalizer.

wow really well can you edit the build prop or make it work on all z1?

I have a UK xperia z and if I go on the app through the website it says its not compatible but on the playstore app it says country not available

These apps are lame anyway

Change your build.prop to C6916, so the app will "think" your phone is a Z1s.

Nice thinking the goldie one is about 75 mb in Google play store but in the zip that i uploaded is only 15 mb thats why its downloading files anyway if they become compatible with z1 c6903 i will update the thread.

I should change them all to C6916? Or some specific lines?

You must only replace c6903 with c6916, them all...

Actually there is a z2's live wallpaper available for non xperia devices but they don't show waves on device other than xperia they show only changing colors but there is an app in play store called xperia lockscreen which is a copy of z2 lockscreen with same effects like in original z2 lockscreen.
