Are you happy with what it does? If so, buy it; if not, keep looking.

It's hard to tell, we have both Gen I and Gen II and both are fine, no issues for us. Differences in the power & button buttons design are easier to tell or compare. If you can check the OEM Nexus 5 box's label - looking at the production batch # (310xxxx vs. 311xxxx) would tell you whether it's earlier or later batch (311xxxx) assuming that everything else matched up (IMEI) and that the case/shell wasn't switched or replaced ...
Search in the production batch info thread as there're side-by-side comparision photos of the batches.

I have the first production batch and haven't experienced any of the issues most people have RMAed for.

There´s ONLY one hardware version: rev_11. See it at your bootloader screen. Same for 310K, 311K or 312K.

Exactly. So no picture even needs to be provided. Without a doubt it is rev_11. Which month it was manufactured in is anyone's guess until you know the SN which isn't going to tell you much anyways.
I haven't seen videos comparing the bigger speaker holes with the smaller ones. However, I would just check that there's no button rattle. If there isn't I wouldn't worry about the "generation". Especially since there is no 2nd generation of it.

No one can say if there is or is not a hardware revision (and what I mean by that is a conscious decision to make a change) . One thing is clear though, there are definitely variations... larger speaker holes, slightly different alignment of buttons etc.
Personally I think this can be attributed to imperfections in the manufacturing process. Certainly most november builds (311) seem to have larger speaker holes. Whether this is because the machines were calibrated differently or whatever, we can't know but the differences are obvious. If all they did was punch bigger holes in the casing, I wouldn't call that a hardware revision.
All I can say is my October build (310) has none of the "issues" others have reported

Yeah. People have to stop asking about the "new revision". Nothing has been changed. With manufacturing, there are always tolerances. That's why some speaker holes are bigger than others.
There is no first or second generation, this is a myth that has spread like wildfire. There has been no official hardware revision. The design specifications have not changed. Yes a small number of people who have exchanged faulty devices have received replacements with larger speaker holes, but it's likely that these larger speaker holes are a result of remanufacturing faulty devices as the only people who have received these devices are people who have returned used devices. The devices currently shipping off of the regular assembly line have the regular size speaker holes, not the larger ones, so it is highly likely that the small number of devices with larger speaker holes are remanufactured.
Wow, I can't wait until I get my N5, amazing community Thanks guys! I'll try to buy one from the play store, my friend is at US, and the guy selling me this nexus is selling it for 500 USD (which I would pay considering all the "trouble" bringing the one from play store to my country) I thought that the small speaker holes were a problem, I guess I have to decide now.

Haven't seen anyone mention it yet, and it's not in the desk cradle compilation.
So yea a desk cradle is coming, compatible with the TF201, TF300, tf500? And the TF700.
It gives an Ethernet port, 2x usb and it routes the audio jack to the dock as well.
Link from a german etailer: http://www.cyberport.de/notebook-un...ation-fuer-tf201-tf300t-tf500-und-tf700t.html
Seems pretty pricey at around 70€ but it's exactly what I've been looking for.
Opinions or thoughts? And what's this tf500 that's mentioned?

Interesting...I'd get it if by the time it hits the States there's a drop in that price...

Its about time. The keyboard dock is overkill when you just want to watch a video. It looks like the dock is foldable. The one one on the right looks like its closed.
So, they had to make a transformable dock for the Transformer...LOL...

Good Find. It would be especially nice if it included a power adapter at that price...
Personally I wish it had an HDMI port. Then it would be a perfect desktop docking station... just drop the tablet in and you have a suitable desktop replacement, assuming I can find a way to improve the output resolution to my monitor.

Dutch is the language from The Netherlands. What you have there is Germany. Which is the big country on the east next to us. They speak GERMAN. Even if you've never seen a map with the world that lies beyond the US borders, surely you should at least have had history classes. Silly Americans...
Especially obvious from the .DE (Deutschland!), as opposed to the .NL (Netherlands!) in the URL.

Interesting, great find!!
On the off chance I placed an order for the dock that was found on Amazon.de and just received a message that it is due to be shipped on the 11th of October. I know it's expensive but I'll let you know what it's like when I get it.

I think it's not in their product list because it's been out for a while. If you look at the ebay listing for it the title shows that it comes with a charging case for an iPhone 3GS. I know this is an Android/WinMo community so people may not know much about iProducts but the 3GS came out in 2009. =P
Be careful, as suggested in jimmygoska's post this product is quite old. There is a review of it from november 2009 here.
The QI standard was released in August 2009, and the first compatible products were from Energizer in late 2010. I think the chap from gear4 made a mistake!
I wouldn't trust the current of that thing pumping power into my expensive N4. It looks like some knockoff plate with questionable electronic quality, IMO.
looking at a few youtube videos somethings just occurred to me will the n4 actually fit?
it's a fair bit bigger than the 3gs
before you start no im not talking about the sleeve i'm talking about the tray area of the pad
its a bit late for me seeing as i've already ordered one so if you see me selling it then you know it doesn't work or the tray is too small

The N4 is only 1.8cm taller and 0.6cm wider than the 3GS without the case on it. I can imagine the wireless case for the 3GS adds more than that.

I'm curious, too, as the back cover isn't just glass and plastic. I can't paste links yet but iFixit shows the back cover contains electronic components:
A number of pressure contacts power the NFC antenna and connect the induction coil needed for wireless charging to the motherboard.

It would seem to me that even without the glass component, replacement backs would be a lot pricier than other models'.

I don't need one, but, out of curiosity, how much did the original seller pay? I'm wondering what the cost to repair this phone might be in the future if need be.
If I ever break my back, though, I'll probably just get a full body case to hide it.

Hey guys, so the seller shipped it, I'm in Canada so it ended up being a little more for shipping costs... about $75 in total. Lets wait and see what it's like when I get my hands on it. Also no clue how much he got it for, I messaged him numerous times and all he would say was that he bought it from LG and he repairs phones so its legit. Mentioned that he bought a few but was only selling one...
Hopefully when it arrives I can answer some more questions.

So like I mentioned before I bought ONE on eBay. The seller posted on xda first (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2042898). I have PMed him constantly on both eBay and here and he has not responded. Sorry guys I wish I could answer all the questions in the PMs you're sending me but I'm just as much in the dark as you!
Let the product arrive and then I can let you know how legit it it, and then I might sell it. BUT I DO NOT HAVE IT YET. AND I ORDER ONE!! Lol.
To everyone requesting the back cover
I will have more in the next few days. I only put the one on Ebay because I had an extra. I have tried to answer as many pm's as I can, but it has been difficult due to power outages. I don't know what the end user would be charged if they called in to LG, but I was only doing this to help out fellow XDA members. I'm not not trying to profit off of these, but i'm sure if & when they are available to the public, somebody will take advantage. Like I said in my initial thread, if anyone has questions about the construction, please ask, & as far a legitimacy, it has a pn#, otherwise I wouldn't have been able order it.
Hello
I hope u can help me to decide I want very much to buyer the lg g2 but in the the other side I hear good feedback on galaxy s5 so if you can help me to decide it's will be good
I going to move from iOS to android I have tablet by android then the system not new for me
Well, the best way to choose in my opinion would be to compare the specs at Gsm Arena, I doubt there is a big difference.
But since you have the G2 and S5 there, I would say go for the G2. You'll love it.
My friend has one and its a beautiful phone, the s5 is basically an s4 with a bit of extra specs (Samsung only likes being ahead of everyone ._.)
If you want good quality and support community go for the LG G2, but that's just me.
Also check out some reviews at YouTube, it will surely help.

I know the lg g2 not get update first like nexus 5 it true? Because I want to get update all the time and don't just once
Well the G2 will get updated, like every other high-end flagship device. But the update procedure is slightly different when it comes to the Nexus 5 since it's a Google entitled device. So Nexus devices get the new official Android versions before any device.
The Nexus 5 is cheaper than the S5 and the G2 and you'll receive updates faster. I'm glad I waited just a bit to buy the Nexus 5 and discarded the option for G2. Worth the small wait.
But another option for the G2 could be aftermarket ROM updates, these updates aren't official however developers here will provide you with ota update of their builds.

Samsung isnt including wired headphones with the new phone but Samsung*said that "for those consumers that prefer the USB-C wired headphones, our customer car team can offer them on request."
You will need the phones imei number.
So, all you need to do is get in contact with Samsung Support, once you get your new Galaxy Note 20 device. You can call Samsung support at 1-800-726-7864. Or you can text "HELP" to 62913. And just let them know that you want to get your complimentary pair of AKG headphones. Samsung support should send them right out.

Came complete with the headphones for my note20 here in the UK.
I just sent a HELP text to 62913. He asked for a screen shot of my receipt/ order and they are sending me 2 sets of headphones for free.
Thanks for the tip!

Have anyone actually gotten the headphones? IDK, they're asking for a lot of info and nothing guarantees im talking to actual Samsung employees.

I got them from chat support. They needed a lot of info. But honestly, they sound like ****. I picked up Chinese knock off bluetooth headphones for next to nothing that sound better

Mine to
Mine on the way..
When did I post that link? September 14th? I LITERALLY just got them in the mail yesterday...
I just got mine 2 days ago. It took less than a week, and UPS brought them.
Ok I have a Note 20 and it says
This site is only for flip, Z and note products only?
Wtf
Kinda funny how they arrived. Just tossed some loose buds in the envelope. No official packaging or anything. But they were free.
Got it. Thank you for the information ??
