You are correct, that is the official 'CLIP from electronicCrap. Looking forward to seeing the reviews as well as getting my personal one tomorrow which also means they will be state side tomorrow!

Looking forward to trying this out. It appears to at least have the same basic design, with the multi-fold flap for different display angles.
The TP is really slippery as is, so I expect I will like being able to grip it better.

Ordered this same case, it's due for delivery tomorrow. I'll post a review with pics as soon as I slap it on. Reminds me of my Scosche case for Galaxy Tab 7. Loved that case.

I pulled the trigger and ordered one of these from electronicCrap
I'll report back once I get mine in the mail. Was not overally keen on the choices from ebay and amazon.

Got mine yesterday...and have to say I love it as much as the Galaxy Tab version. Snug fit, and so functional. STILL charges on the touchstone even with case ON!
I'll snap some pics here later on today.

Was the OP able to get his hands on a replacement back? I am curious to hear about it. This would eliminate the need to use cases and whatnot if the replacements aren't very expensive.

I'm curious, too, as the back cover isn't just glass and plastic. I can't paste links yet but iFixit shows the back cover contains electronic components:
A number of pressure contacts power the NFC antenna and connect the induction coil needed for wireless charging to the motherboard.

It would seem to me that even without the glass component, replacement backs would be a lot pricier than other models'.

A I bought one off eBay a couple days back. Guy said he bought a couple straight from LG but was only selling one. I won it on eBay. I bought it as an extra for my nexus but I guess if someone needs it really bad I'm willing to sell it to them.

Hey guys, so the seller shipped it, I'm in Canada so it ended up being a little more for shipping costs... about $75 in total. Lets wait and see what it's like when I get my hands on it. Also no clue how much he got it for, I messaged him numerous times and all he would say was that he bought it from LG and he repairs phones so its legit. Mentioned that he bought a few but was only selling one...
Hopefully when it arrives I can answer some more questions.

How did you contact the seller? Would you mind sharing contact details? I can't seem to find any spares online except for the digitiser.

So like I mentioned before I bought ONE on eBay. The seller posted on xda first (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2042898). I have PMed him constantly on both eBay and here and he has not responded. Sorry guys I wish I could answer all the questions in the PMs you're sending me but I'm just as much in the dark as you!
Let the product arrive and then I can let you know how legit it it, and then I might sell it. BUT I DO NOT HAVE IT YET. AND I ORDER ONE!! Lol.

To everyone requesting the back cover
I will have more in the next few days. I only put the one on Ebay because I had an extra. I have tried to answer as many pm's as I can, but it has been difficult due to power outages. I don't know what the end user would be charged if they called in to LG, but I was only doing this to help out fellow XDA members. I'm not not trying to profit off of these, but i'm sure if & when they are available to the public, somebody will take advantage. Like I said in my initial thread, if anyone has questions about the construction, please ask, & as far a legitimacy, it has a pn#, otherwise I wouldn't have been able order it.

i can't wait till they get stock, it could be up till a month before they come back (can you go a whole month without a tablet?) and the price would increase and i would miss out on the £50 cashback, i can't even buy second hand from cex they are all gone, its all because of christmas, bah humbug i say!
i will try the stores on the high street today but i've checked all their stock online, they are all gone, i think i will have no choice but to buy a ipad 2, its either that or go without a tablet for a whole month, i can't use a samsung galaxy S2 to browse the web e.t.c LOL screen is tiny and impossible to type with (using it now to type this post)

I would go without a tablet for a month. You want warranty for something like this. I had the opportunity to get a used but unopened note off craigslist for $75 less but I decided against it.

i found one from the high street, it costs more at £355 but i am happy i have got one, i don't think i would have been happy with a ipad anyway.

Picked one up at tescos(York) yesterday for £318 and to quote the samsung guy 'there's load in stock'.... sure you tried everywhere?!
And for those that dont know you have to purchase up to and including the 31st December to be entitled to the £50 cashback.
EDIT: By the way, something else I also found out yesterday which could be relevant to you, is that Tescos website on purpose prevents you from checking stock of these items.

yeah i saw tesco direct website had the tablet for £318 but i heard such bad stories about their delivery i decided to pass on that and that is strange, why would they not let you check stock on online :S
i am going to claim my £50 cashback tomorrow, gotta setup the tablet tonight so tired too.

Oh sorry didn't see you managed to grab one! Annoyingly you cant start cashback claim process until 15 days after you buy it...probs to prevent you buying one claiming cash back and taking it back. But at the same time it has to be claimed before 60 days......probably in the hope you forget to claim!

At no. 2. You just have to claim before the 28th feb(or 60 days after purchase, whichever is sooner), but have to have BOUGHT it before the 31st December. And you have. so youll have no probs! Just make sure you claim before that 60 days expires.

Farewell One X. OnePlus, here I come!

Well, the One X is in MINT condition after 2 years. You could fool me if you slapped on the AT&T don't text and drive sticker and boxed it up. However it is due time to retire this bad boy, for I have just placed my order for the OnePlus One!
I do feel bad that I have not been vocally active here as life has got me pretty busy, but this phone has been great, and the community has been great. I am retiring the phone on the latest carbon rom and torched kernel.
I just hope that the OnePlus is all it is worked up to be (and does not have the yellow screen issues that people have been talking about.

Congrats on getting an invite for the OnePlus one. I have been trying to get an invite but I think I will just renew and get something else. The LG G3 is looking pretty nice right now. Love the idea of the phone but its crazy the way the invite system is working.

The g3 is a hot phone. that was the phone that I was about to get before my invite arrived. there is a deal with the g3 and g watch (and all lg accessories) good through sept 11. I would hop on that.

I agree. I am VERY nervous regarding this purchase to be completely honest. I feel like I will be completely on my own with this if ANYTHING is wrong. I typically REFUSE to do business with ANY company that has operates in such a way that oneplus does (lies, shady business practices, refusal to acknowledge or respect its customers/potential customers, no ownership whatsoever regarding defects, charging to return a defective product, the list goes ON AND ON.) The only reason why I went through with the purchase is because it is, I guess the lucrative invite system...I guess it works? In a way. OP could make far more profit without pissing people off and totally killing their reputation...

Congrats Timma on the OPO invite. I considered this phone for a bit but in the end came to the conclusion that I am simply too much of an HTC fan right now. That and I think the phone is too big. lol. They must be doing something right over there because apps and APKs are spilling out into Roms all over the place. Seems everybody wants to port the camera app.
Anyway like you I am still here hanging out. It's ironic that the Evita is easier to customize and more up to date than some of the newer phones. The only thing lagging is the hardware. We just got a good implementation of F2FS and some of our Roms are completely up to date.
So, I expect you will still be lurking around here same as me. This Forum is still on top of my XDA bookmarks.

Thanks, bud. This device is still pretty good, mine is in fantastic condition, but the low amount of storage, the small battery, and the lack of RAM are all things I definitely won't miss. I'll definitely still be lurking and maintaining my threads, and helping people in our Q&A Section.

@timmaaa yes you will be missed here! On that note, I was looking at the OPO...but started getting concerned by some of the feedback on the company and customer service.
I would still have gone with the Xiaomi MI3, except for the lack of XDA support (due to the kernel source issue)...which is a big deal for me.

I know this thread is starting to get old but I was just wondering how you guys are liking the oneplus. It will soon be time for me to retire my Evita, and am trying to decide if I should get the Latest HTC or try for a oneplus invite.

Thanks for the tip. I've been having a hard time trying to decide. this was my first android coming from iPhone. I loved this phone and I can't even count how many of your threads I followed to mod this thing, so I definitely trust your input. I guess its time to do my homework on getting an invite. Yeah I have a little problem with email he sent, "We are selling on Amazon.com and we got some free galaxy note 9 accessories available now. will you accept reimbursement after your honest feedback is posted?" Didn't define what they are selling or what they wanted me to buy and "reimbursement" two RED flags.

I also got an email. While the whole deal might be legit, it didn't feel right to me. As you said, it's not a company email address, and the wording was odd. It's not a scam, it's a small company trying to boost their reviews. I've had the Battery case for over a week and I'm about to review another item from them shortly, been reimbursed the money for everything.

Well please ensure that your review 100% honest because if it isn't, it's just misleading people to buy something that is actually not worth the money.

Of course. The case is exactly the same case ZeroLemon sells, just not branded with ZeroLemon.

I followed up on this - unfortunately it didn't work out for me as I'm in the UK, and the only way to buy the case is on amazon.com, who won't ship it to the UK.
The emails I received from Jayson were helpful and timely, and he never asked for anything other than an "honest review".

I'm not against this but "boosting" reviews via freebies, isn't there a certain word for that ?
