The thread is pretty self explanatory. Before you flame me and tell me to use dashclock...Let's face it, dash clock is pretty buggy and doesn't integrate too well.
Anyone else.

What's wrong with DashClock? Haven't found even a single bug yet. The only problem i have with it is it can't be updated as you would if it wasn't inbuilt. Plus, if you want, there's Active Display for notifications.
Already asked for lockscreen blur here
Meantime I've found this app for add blur effect on wallpaper.
Lockscreen Notifications have already been implemented from my team's work into Omni's gerrit. I'm sure it'll show up in a build soon.
Edit: fix typo

That's why I switched from omni to an unofficial nightly of carbon rom on my jfltexx a couple of days ago.
I would love to have blurred seethru lockscreen and of course lockscreen notifications on omni.
Just my 2 cents

You might want to try an app called Blurone for that.

Thanks, but it's not the same to have a blurred wallpaper rather than the actual desktop or last open app blurred.

absolutely correct that is the reason i don't use dash-lock............ i usually go with NotifyMe application which is pretty good......... but lock-screen notification are much more handy........

Anynews on this intégration ? The lack of lock screen integration is the only thing that keep me away from using omnirom (active display is far behind lockscreen notification).
Anylink to an official push request where I can vote ?
Thanks a lot for working on this integration.

You don't blindly vote for anything in gerrit.
You only vote for it if it works.

AFAIK the only 2 lockscreen notifications implementation in our gerrit is mine and pulser's.
Pulser's is not quite so ready AFAIK. Mine is ready.
I am not doing a commitment but it should be merged by next week.

Why you dont create a superior implementation that combines the advantages of both?
As you know - Omni is also about creating new "better" solutions to existing ones and
not only about adding stuff

I don't link active display. I can't even think of merging both.
I was however planning to merge some settings parameters like excluded apps.

What about this merge? I'm waiting for it for weeks now.... I also tried your temporary HOMEMADE version and it was awesome. Will be some day your notifications merged into OMNI official branch?
Thanks!

It was a standard feature in most custom ROMs - not in stock though. Not sure if there are any mods to get that feature (except for replacements like widget locker).

Call / Message blacklisting similar to CM & Slim Roms directly accessible from call settings in the Dailer App. :good:
There are apps to do so, but inbuilt feature outperforms them in speed and simplicity.
Is there a plan to implement it in the future?
Thank you devs for your work.
Greetings Puneet.
I'd second this. Take back part of what a phone should be.

Thanks for the link but I've tried them all and even root call blocker's fastest option of killing process at system level on a call arrival. Trust me, none of them are as fast and efficient as inbuilt feature.
I'll also second this option. The inbuilt ones like Slim and CM works seamlessly. It is one less app to install as well!
+1.
Thanks.
there is already someone working on it.
unfortunately, he doesn't have much time to do it, as he stated.
you can check the progress here:
https://gerrit.omnirom.org/5009
and on 5010-5012
Ability to choose not only OpenStreetMaps but also Google along with other variants (both Forward and Reverse lookup) in the Dailer App Search like Slim Roms just introduced in there RC3 would be awesome. :good:

Seriously this is a much needed feature in Omnirom. And Google is really did a crappy job by not including this in hangouts or dialer app by default.

Remember the pre-smartphone era? Each phone included this function. No wonder CM corrected Googles omission.
My commits are in gerrit. But I am busy these days due to exams. I'll have 'some' time Monday onwards. I'll try to finish it off on Monday.

I was wondering if anyone found a good messaging app that worked with Halo. So far hangouts is the only one that works reliably for me. AOSP messaging works until I click a contact thread and it switches into the full app. Textra and 8sms open the full app when I try to open them through halo. Oddly enough other messaging programs like kik work fine. Is this just the state of halo on kitkat roms, or something that app developers need to change? Thanks for any help.

Halo is a recent port to KitKat since pa hasn't implemented their official halo yet. Operability should get better as development continues.

Yea, pretty cool idea. I didn't end up using it very much because I prefer the banner notifications that are an option with the app: LockerPro Lockscreen as they are less intrusive for every day use.
Any ROMs with Pie cooked in? Really surprised not to see this yet. GB is just too glitchy to make it a viable option. Thanks

I don't think so. I like that feature but I can understand it not being at the top of any dev's to-do list. I would keep an eye on Paranoid Android and SlimKat.

GravityBox glitchy? That's news to me. I use it on all three of my Android devices (N5, N7, Moto X) and haven't had a single issue on any of them. The expanded desktop + PIE control works great.

For me, every reboot causes the nav bar to reappear and then pie doesn't work. There was something else too but it has been a month since I used it last. And of course you can't use ART with Xposed

Yeah, that's mainly what's keeping me from using Xposed. Now that I've used ART for a while I just can't go back to Dalvik.

That's weird, I don't have that issue. Were you using expanded desktop or just setting your navbar height to zero? I have expanded desktop with PIE tied to a quicksettings toggle and it always goes back into whatever state I had it in after a reboot. Then again, it'll stay after a reboot if I shrink it to zero as well. What version of GravityBox are/were you on?
Try lmt launcher. It has a fully customizable pie.

Yep, that's the best thing to do. I'm not quite sure why its enabled by default. It is probably the most common gesture you could accidentally trigger and it causes the biggest battery drain.
