In order to install Xposed you'll need to root your phone first! It's not too hard following the guides on here
Once you have that done, installing and configuring Gravitybox is pretty easy!
Xposed is great, I'm running a stock US Kitkat Rom on my UK Moto G but Xposed lets me use lots of the tweaks and options found in custom roms.

My friend's phone is not rooted, any possible solution for a non rooted Moto G? I only want to add to the nav bar "menu" and "search app keys"

Gravity box has this option.
You need root access and install 'xposed installer'
Then once you open it click 'classic install'
Reboot.
Then click on downloads and search for 'gravity box'
Activate the module from xposed.
Reboot.
Now open gravity box and from there you have the option to do so.
Hope this helps!
On CyanogenMod ROM you can change the order of the buttons as well.

Where can i download the gravitybox for my Maxx on 4.2.2? I tried downloading it from the xposed installer>download menu, it installs, but won't open. Gives an error:

I downloaded GravityBox(by [email protected]) for JB ver. 2.9.4
Thanks

Do you have any other modules already working?
If not, after you installed "xposed installer", did you install the framework from within the app? you should have installed the framework and been prompted to reboot. then you install gravity box, and make sure to check the box next to it in the modules menu (may require another reboot, i do not recall). After this you will be able to change the settings within gravity box (some / most changes also require a reboot to take effect)

Yes i have another module running. I know about rebooting and all, it just wouldn't work for me. After some searching, it was suggested that i try an older version. I installed version 2.7.2 and it works. Just seems a little less refined, but atleast it works.

Hello,

I see that the S4 has this and my old phone had it, so why doesn't this one have it?

Hello guys can anyone help me in installing xposed framework....
I installed in kitkat(other devices) it was an easy process....but in lollipop it is confusing.....
So please guide me a step by step process.....
Do a little research before asking to be spoon fed, k?
But here ya go....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
Flash this one in recovery: xposed-v74-sdk22-arm.zip
Install this apk after you reboot: XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk
Edit: Removed link to Romracer's version to simplify things. I've used both above files and they work fine.

No offence but, an apk file is the one to be installed[I hope you know this after being using Android for sometime now] and than the only file left is zip file so that needs to be flashed.
Also it's clearly mentioned:
xposed-v*-sdk*-*.zip: Must be flashed with a custom recovery to install the framework.
XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha*.apk: Must be installed to manage installed modules

Again no offence. Just trying to tell you that you should not seek for spoon feeding without going through the description once.
All users here in xda like to help but user's seeking for help should understand too that they can't be helped for every single thing.
I am sorry if I sounded rude but that was not my intention.
Happy to help.
In this fellows defense I'm actually quite familiar and fond of xposed framework but even being a gnex, 4, 5 and several other devices enthusiast lets say.
I had one hell of a time with this romracer/official business for 5.1.1 on this moto g 2015 and I'm used to using the old installer apk (hadn't noticed the new beta as I check the website)
I now know after searching and reading myself (successfully) so I do also throw another 'please don't ask to be spoon fed comment' but damn was it ever a pain in my little white hiney.

flashing Xposed didn't work....phone is bricked
guys i need help!!
i just rooted my moto g 1st gen (5.1.1) and then tried to flash xposed framework through twrp but i guess the zip file that i flashed was somehow not compatible with my phone and now phone is bricked.......
i searched online and found out that i can unbrick my phone but all i could see was bringing it back to kitkat is the only option and updating manually to lollipop is troublesome.
My question is can i flash a custom rom directly and install Marshmallow on my phone once i unbrick it completely??
its like jumping from kitkat to marshmallow
stupidest thing i ever did was ignored having nandroid backup
You need to install compatible xposed uninstaller from your twrp. You can download it from your pc and then save it on micro SD card.

phn is soft bricked....can only access bootloader. So copying the correct file is not an option for me.
Trying this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2700502

Also my phone does not have any external memory slot.

Check this: http://www.droidviews.com/how-to-uninstall-xposed-framework-on-android-lollipop/
thanks for the link......and the above technique worked. My phone is working on stock rom 5.0.2.
i would still try to flash xposed firmware, the link which u provided is for uninstall (which might come in handy if i mess up)
but i still need a link to install xposed firmware.
Thanks in advance!!
Here you can find xposed framework and uninstaller. Download both and save on internal storage, so you can recover system in case of start failure.

i had checked this link earlier, but was not sure which one to download
after entering arm/
I'm not sure which one to download there is a list of various versions
You choose arm, x86 or arm64 depending of your CPU. SDK depends of your Android version (21 for 5.0, 22 for 5.1 and 23 for 6.0). Version of framework is labeled as, for example v85.

Asc files are GPG signatures for zip files. They used for verifying authentication of downloaded files. See more on https://www.gnupg.org

Hello XDA,
I'd like to share with you this quick, easy tutorial about how to enable Google Now on Tap and Cards in every country and network carrier that doesn't support this service.
But first of all you must be on Lollipop or Marshmallow based ROM (I assume you are)
And most importantly you MUST be rooted. What is root? Just Google it. Do it only when you know what you're doing I'm not responsible for anything goes wrong with the process of rooting. But this tutorial itself is not harmful.
What you need is an app called Market Unlocker (attached below) simply download and install it..... And you MUST have a SIM inserted at least one (I assume you have one already)
Step1: Remove ALL your google accounts. This is EXTREMELY important.
Step2: Open the app you just installed (Market Unlocker)
Step3: Enable the unlocker to USA Verizon.
Step4: Give it root permissions.
Step5: Reboot your system.
Step6: Press your search button (hold home button on nav bar)
Step7: Tap on get started and add your google account.
Step8: Enjoy Now on Tap and Cards.
PS1: you can uninstall Market Unlocker app but don't disable it. Just keep it enabled and uninstall it. Otherwise, you WILL lost Now on Tap and Cards.
PS2: these steps doesn't modify your EFS data which means when you perform a factory reset or clean flash a new ROM, you have to do the process all over again.
61 views...... Did anyone try it?
Well, it works, it has worked for a long time, but this is not a quick and easy tutorial if it includes rooting.

I don't own Sony device. Sorry.
Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried to install xposed sdk 26 on their u12 yet or is it foolish without a recovery backup?
I flashed it using the Magisk App. Only thing I use it for is Greenify.
But with any Android around here. Make sure you have backups etc.
I personally have an RUU saved so if anything I'll just reflash my phone.
I use the Magisk Module "Xposed Framework (SDK 26)", systemless. It works without problems, but you neeed to use a special Xposed Installer app, linked in the module description.
The following Xposed Modules work for me: AFWall+, GravityBox [O], XPrivacyLua
Anyone have any more experience with Xposed on the U12+? There are just a few mods and tweaks I am missing and thinking about trying Xposed. I will report back my experience, thanks.
I was able to install Xposed with no issues but couldn't install gravitybox, plus it states that Xposed is for pure vanilla ROMs so I don't know
Xposed + GravityBox, XInsta and Greenify works without any problems. Disabled it because I want to use Google pay (doesn't work together)
Do not fool with Xposed. It is not worth the trouble I promise.

The only thing I really miss is back to kill. Really don't need much more. Probably don't even need that, it just became a habit lol. By the way, trying Xposed screwed my ability to use face unlock even after removing it. I had to run the RUU to get it back.
***EDIT I also miss the advanced power menu.
