Hello guys can anyone help me in installing xposed framework....
I installed in kitkat(other devices) it was an easy process....but in lollipop it is confusing.....
So please guide me a step by step process.....
Do a little research before asking to be spoon fed, k?
But here ya go....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
Flash this one in recovery: xposed-v74-sdk22-arm.zip
Install this apk after you reboot: XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk
Edit: Removed link to Romracer's version to simplify things. I've used both above files and they work fine.

No offence but, an apk file is the one to be installed[I hope you know this after being using Android for sometime now] and than the only file left is zip file so that needs to be flashed.
Also it's clearly mentioned:
xposed-v*-sdk*-*.zip: Must be flashed with a custom recovery to install the framework.
XposedInstaller_3.0-alpha*.apk: Must be installed to manage installed modules

Again no offence. Just trying to tell you that you should not seek for spoon feeding without going through the description once.
All users here in xda like to help but user's seeking for help should understand too that they can't be helped for every single thing.
I am sorry if I sounded rude but that was not my intention.
Happy to help.
In this fellows defense I'm actually quite familiar and fond of xposed framework but even being a gnex, 4, 5 and several other devices enthusiast lets say.
I had one hell of a time with this romracer/official business for 5.1.1 on this moto g 2015 and I'm used to using the old installer apk (hadn't noticed the new beta as I check the website)
I now know after searching and reading myself (successfully) so I do also throw another 'please don't ask to be spoon fed comment' but damn was it ever a pain in my little white hiney.

If you addressed this to me than I didn't complained. I understand sometimes it gets really hard to follow even the simplest of things. As I said "Happy to help".
I myself have passed through all these when new to xda and if users were not helpful at times I would have not been where I am today in regards of Android.

flashing Xposed didn't work....phone is bricked
guys i need help!!
i just rooted my moto g 1st gen (5.1.1) and then tried to flash xposed framework through twrp but i guess the zip file that i flashed was somehow not compatible with my phone and now phone is bricked.......
i searched online and found out that i can unbrick my phone but all i could see was bringing it back to kitkat is the only option and updating manually to lollipop is troublesome.
My question is can i flash a custom rom directly and install Marshmallow on my phone once i unbrick it completely??
its like jumping from kitkat to marshmallow
stupidest thing i ever did was ignored having nandroid backup
You need to install compatible xposed uninstaller from your twrp. You can download it from your pc and then save it on micro SD card.

phn is soft bricked....can only access bootloader. So copying the correct file is not an option for me.
Trying this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2700502
if at all you can post the working link, that'd be great..
Also my phone does not have any external memory slot.
(Moto G XT1033 Dual sim Asia retail version.)
Check this: http://www.droidviews.com/how-to-uninstall-xposed-framework-on-android-lollipop/
thanks for the link......and the above technique worked. My phone is working on stock rom 5.0.2.
i would still try to flash xposed firmware, the link which u provided is for uninstall (which might come in handy if i mess up)
but i still need a link to install xposed firmware.
Thanks in advance!!
Here you can find xposed framework and uninstaller. Download both and save on internal storage, so you can recover system in case of start failure.

i had checked this link earlier, but was not sure which one to download
after entering arm/
I'm not sure which one to download there is a list of various versions
You choose arm, x86 or arm64 depending of your CPU. SDK depends of your Android version (21 for 5.0, 22 for 5.1 and 23 for 6.0). Version of framework is labeled as, for example v85.

Thanks for the info, theres no need to download the .asc file right?!
Asc files are GPG signatures for zip files. They used for verifying authentication of downloaded files. See more on https://www.gnupg.org

The XDA is now a global forum that has become a reference, there are many people like me that despite not speaking fluent English translator and seek to use information and news here, I ask a little patience with us as we have more difficulty.
So we can make mistakes I am very grateful to users walter79 master as I am fan and user of MS2ginger and many others that enable users with little knowledge as I use the wonderful mods.

Copy the zip to the root (no folders) of your sd card.
You must root it first, then install CWM via 2nd init (find it in defy themes and apps forum), after you installed it, press vol down key when a blue led shows up on booting, then using vol+/- keys and power button to select, choose install zip via sd card, choose your downloaded zip, reboot and that's it.

why motorola didn't do this?
thanks
Can someone explain me the reason it doesn't work on CM7/9 for us redlens defy users ? I mean the tech details if possible...
Does anyone know if this is possible?
Actually, does anyone know if any of these are possible?
1.) Replace the Visually Built-In SuperUser with SuperSU found in the ROM Settings.
2.) Completely Remove/Uninstall SuperUser from ROM Settings so that it can no longer be seen or found.
If so, would you please be so kind in posting a simple tutorial?
Thanks so much in advance!
You would have to decompile the settings apk and remove the header for the superuser app. Then you would need to create a new header linked to an intent that would open the SuperSU package. Not really worth the amount of work if you ask me.
You do realize that by flashing SuperSU on top of a rom that already has superuser built in, superuser is completely removed and replaced by SuperSU regardless of the fact that it still has a header in the settings.

After reading your very much appreciated response, I take it that neither of these can be done neither quick or easy.
Thank you and yes I do understand that, but I atleast want to remove it if I can't replace it. For me personally, it sticks out like a swore thumb.
I truly think that even if only one of these were available, countless people would appreciate it. When researching this I found nearly endless posts on the subject where users were trying to do something of the matter. Sounds like it might be worth it?

I apologize for my late reply. I wasn't aware that anyone has made a post after my last.
Anyway, just recently I discovered Xposed Framework and its awesome potential, so I am now using SuperSU and using Google's stock 4.4.2 ROM.
I really appreciate you offering to help me, that's really cool thank you. Now that I'm on the stock 4.4.2 ROM my only desire to still do this would be to implement/embed my SuperSU app into my settings which I think would be so cool seeing that its an original stock ROM. Similar to the way the custom CM ROMs do it but not the way they prompt you for root permission, I would simply like to keep the way SuperSU does it with its popup.
If you are still help me with this and willing to give it a shot, that would be really cool and I would feel pretty special having being the only one with SuperSU embedded into stock ROM settings . If you are still willing to attept something like this please let me know as I would be stoked having the original SuperSU embeded into the settings of the original 4.4.2 stock ROM . Thanks a lot!

Sure, but the problem is that since you are now on stock rom, the phone is now odexed. Each apk has a corresponding odex file, which makes it tougher to modify stuff like this. If you could switch the stock deodexed rom it might make this possible.

Oh, for some reason I thought that odexed ROMs needed some extra things done for apk modifications. Sorry for the misinformation.
I am running Mahdi ROM, latest version came with Superuser. I prefer SuperSU as it gets updated and maintained more often, so I flashed the latest (1.91) update zip and now I have both. It did not remove the integrated Superuser that came with the ROM settings.

Hello XDA,
I'd like to share with you this quick, easy tutorial about how to enable Google Now on Tap and Cards in every country and network carrier that doesn't support this service.
But first of all you must be on Lollipop or Marshmallow based ROM (I assume you are)
And most importantly you MUST be rooted. What is root? Just Google it. Do it only when you know what you're doing I'm not responsible for anything goes wrong with the process of rooting. But this tutorial itself is not harmful.
What you need is an app called Market Unlocker (attached below) simply download and install it..... And you MUST have a SIM inserted at least one (I assume you have one already)
Step1: Remove ALL your google accounts. This is EXTREMELY important.
Step2: Open the app you just installed (Market Unlocker)
Step3: Enable the unlocker to USA Verizon.
Step4: Give it root permissions.
Step5: Reboot your system.
Step6: Press your search button (hold home button on nav bar)
Step7: Tap on get started and add your google account.
Step8: Enjoy Now on Tap and Cards.
PS1: you can uninstall Market Unlocker app but don't disable it. Just keep it enabled and uninstall it. Otherwise, you WILL lost Now on Tap and Cards.
PS2: these steps doesn't modify your EFS data which means when you perform a factory reset or clean flash a new ROM, you have to do the process all over again.
61 views...... Did anyone try it?
Well, it works, it has worked for a long time, but this is not a quick and easy tutorial if it includes rooting.

I don't own Sony device. Sorry.
I was looking through the threads about rooting our S7e devices, and ended up not being able to get back to the post where it showed which files needed to flash Xposed framework on our recently rooted devices. So, here is a short and simple guide to installing XPOSED framework, thanks to stormonya! Thanks!
Guide by stormonya:
1. DOWNLOAD FLASHFIRE FROM THE PLAY STORE
2. DOWNLOAD XPOSED APK AND ARM64 FRAMEWORK ZIP FROM HERE:http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960
3.INSTALL XPOSED APK.
4. OPEN FLASHFIRE AND GIVE SUPERSU PERMISSION AND FLASH THE XPOSED FRAMEWORK ZIP YOU DOWNLOADED...
5.PHONE WILL REBOOT AND OPTIMIZE APPS AND LOAD UP.....IT WILL TAKE 15 MINUTES....AND THEN BOOM!!!! YOU'RE ALL XPOSED!!!
Edit:
Version 86.0 does NOT work as I previously stated. I had to revert to 85.1 custom in order to get it to stick. Sorry for the mistake guys.
Here are the two files you need in order to get xposed working properly
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24572330218881466 - this is version 85.1 custom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3383776&d=1435601440 - Xposed installer 3.0 alpha 4 apk
Use flashfire from the play store to flash the zip file. When it reboots, expect it to take several minutes to optimize your apps. After that, you should be good to go! Sorry again for the mistake!

Ok guys, I'm sorry for posting that version 86.0 worked flawlessly. It appeared to install fine, and work OK. But, upon rebooting the device, xposed ceased to function. So, I ended up going back to 85.1
Here are the two files you need in order to get xposed working properly
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24572330218881466 - this is version 85.1 custom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3383776&d=1435601440 - Xposed installer 3.0 alpha 4 apk
Use flashfire from the play store to flash the zip file. When it reboots, expect it to take several minutes to optimize your apps. After that, you should be good to go! Sorry again for the mistake!

It shouldn't ask you for a recovery to use....you select "FLASH ZIP OR OTA" select the zip that was downloaded...make sure it is the ARM64 SDK23 Version. It will flash and reboot.

I really enjoy Gravity Box. There are a lot of status bar customizations, as well as a ton of other customizations for other Android features as well.

I didn't add anything new that should have broken the framework. I'm going to try and upgrade to 86 in the morning. Could have just been a fluke. I'll update the OP if everything goes well. Thanks for letting me know that you got it working!

DISCLAIMER
I will be aware of your problems caused by root like tripped knox... When you flash something like this you may know about the risks you are going to find in! Remember that these apps come from a BETA FIRMWARE so could be unstable or simply can't work for all devices. Also the zip is made to work on TWRP 3.3.1.0 with system/system partition. Other zips will come later. Make a backup before flashing this, otherwise don't report for bootlooped device. Just report for app freezing/force closing. This project is open to all, who wants to share other ported apps is free to write to me and I'll add credits to him obviously

It says in twrp "file is corrupt" install failed
same issue as previous versions, dont install or made any change in device ( Galaxy A30 with Anndroid 11 OneUI 3.1 )
Same issue... S10+... I installed on twrp as instructed but no change in the system like never installed. I put manually with root explorer...
Perfect, everything is working good on S10+. Fyi I use the incallUi 13.0.00.38 version from beta 12 as well and it's working good too
I didn't use the zip, I directly replaced apks with root explorer on my rooted device.
Thank you for your work Alexis
Everything working good on my s9+ with noble rom 1.5. I flash the zip with twrp 3.3.1.0. Thanks for the excellent work.

can you tell how to replace apks ? where to put them ?
thanks in advance.
I don't understand these zips because I thought you would have to be on android 12 api to have them work. I havent tried it yet but ive tried them in the past and it always fails. So I don't see how it can work. Maybe an explanation could help.

She probably wont tell you because on XDA whenever someone figures something out they think it makes them special or more knowledgeable and they ignore people asking.
I however don't do that. The way it works is you have to extract the apks into a select folder and than you have to have root access to put them in your system folder that already has the clock apk for example. But heres the trick no one will tell you that makes the difference. You have to sign the apk and you do with apk signer pro on the playstore for a 1 or 2 dollars or theres other ways. Than you want to keep backups of the apk and remove it out of the system folder and replace it with the new apk with the same name and 644 permissions. I did it with the clock app to test it and it worked. Its takes forever and there really isnt nothing new so its pointless in some sense. However thats how you do it. What I gave was an explanation youll notice that on a website designed for people who want to do more with their phones you see short answers without any explanation at all and the truth is because they dont want to tell anyone. They say I dont spoon feed noobs. Cant ask for ETAs because the truth is they dont know if they can figure out how to update it or fix anything. Good luck
The biggest feature is no ads with the apps however if your rooted with AdAway you shouldn't have any ads because Ive never had a an ad in the weather app. Think of this way when you ask their thinking hahaha I know something you dont know lol. Than when you figure it out youll be resentful and bitter so youll do the same thing to anyone that ask you because you'll say to yourself no one ever helped me out so they can figure out themselves and of course hahaha I know something you dont know lol. This has to stop
