Can someone suggest what settings I should use when using Noozoxide with Power Amp Pro? I originally had it set up at one time and it really increased the sound coming from our single built-in speaker. I updated the rom and some how have screwed up the settings. I am now using Cromi-X 5.2.3 and I had installed Music FX with it but I read somewhere that it does not work with Noozoxide, I could be wrong but I froze it in Titanium Backup. Or should I be using a different combo altogether? I use MX Player Pro as my streaming video player and the audio is terrible.

the best noozoxide settings are more dependent on the speakers you are using than the app you are using. for the built in speaker I use the following settings:
Xlimiter Processor:
- Enabled
- Strength = Hard
X-EQ Processor, MaxBass Processor:
- Enabled
- EQ Preset = Cinema
- VE Engine = Strongest
LogicSurround ES Processor:
- Enabled
- Room Size = Live
I don't have the Psychoacoustic 2 Processor enabled because the speakers get distorted on even the lowest setting (for all speakers, not just the built in ones)
The music player I use is Music Folder Player, it's not the prettiest player but it's got a minimalist style, which is most important to me.
Will be adding a full write-up to my guide. Hope this helps.
Nooxide or what ever it is called requires musicfx to be present as well.
I thought I may have had it backwards. Thanks

So I'm not completely satisfied with Vibrant's default music player and its EQ. I tried Astro Player but the EQ on that is crap. I found out MixZing has THE EQ I'm looking for and it sounds quite amazing but the app itself is not ideal as a music player and the EQ taxes the CPU = lower battery. Is there another player with a similar EQ or is there a program I can use to force a EQ over the ENTIRE phone (not just music player) so that I can then use any music player. I don't care if I have to root the device to get such an app to work.
I'm new to Android coming from Nokia XpressMusic series (which sound amazing with their EQs) so looking to replicate that. It's a HIGH priority for me being an audiophile.
Anyone know a good app to use for audio equalizing? I'm getting a pair of q460's to use with my tablet and I read it could do with some equalizing.
If you're just looking for an equalizer for music, several music apps include a built-in equalizer, one example being PowerAMP. If you want a system-wide equalizer, there's a free app called Equalizer in the Market.
Both PowerAMP and Equalizer work fine on the Transformer.
I hope that poweramp adds some notification bar controls for honeycomb like the stock Google music app. Not necessary though as my headphones have the controls on one side.
Did you try Volume+ app in below link

Hello guys,
I would like to ask you, if you consider the sound output of the stock player better than alternative players (PowerAmp, PlayerPro etc.). I came from Galaxy S which has excellent sound output in stock player but alternatives were not so good.
I´m using Koss Spark Plug headphones. I don´t use stock player because of non-customizable equalizer.
What do you think?
I used to use Winamp but I use the stock on the Sensation mainly due to SRS Enhancement. It makes my Moto H17 have actual bass

I'm coming from PowerAmp Pro on HD2, using stock app on Sensation4G and couldn't be more pleasantly surprised. I'm an audiophile listening to flacs in all this and couldnt be happier
stock players seem to be much better than purchased apps now. my vibrant had SRS, G2x has DTS (Dolby), and this has SRS? sweeeeetness didn't know that. wow i shouldn't have bought power amp 2 days ago...
But SRS has not extra options has it? Is it possible to customize it a little bit?
interesting I have not reyes the stock at all been using poweramp out the box. I'm gonna try the stock though.

@KillaHurtz,
How do you play flac in stock player? I recently bought PowerAMP to be able to play flac (and PowerAMP is very oke). As far as I understood flac is not native supported in Android (3.1 seems to have it added).
the stock player should have a equalizer if you open up the stock music player and up in the top right you can select the SRS or equalizer

Just saying that's my normal prefrence, sorry if I miscommunicated that.
I use Player Pro /w DSP pack so that I can have a pre-amp on top of my other EQ settings, that player pro offers normally.
Stock Music player has pretty good sound output, my only complaint is no customization options in the EQ/No Pre-Amp = Not loud enough for me or customizable enough. Player Pro is both!
I used to htc player but it does not retain the position of the song, when I listen to a mix that lasts 2 hours it starts from the beginning every time
do you have the same problem ?
this stock player sounds better than my poweramp. think im gonna use it for now.

So im using Sense-O-Maniac rom which includes BEATS. I understand it works with Music app but is there any way to make it work with Google Music app or any other Music applications? (such as pandora)
Thanks in advanced, sorry if this has been asked before :x
Volume+ > Beats Audio (IMHO)
I tend to stream my music more than play local files and was searching for an alternative as well. I found a post (can't even remember which forum now... sorry) that recommended the app Volume+. I tried it out and was much happier with its features. You get a full DSP along with volume boosting. The best part (for me at least) is that you set these tweaks per output method. So you can have different settings for the headphones (called headset in the app), phone speaker, and bluetooth speakers.

I have mixed reviews from Galaxy Note users about my free Speaker Boost app (source code is here). The app is supposed to boost media volume (in the usual way, by using the Equalizer API). Most reviewers say it doesn't work, but one says it works.
I'd like to get to the bottom of this. To that end, I'm posting here. If anybody wants to try it (heeding all the warnings; if you use Speaker Boost at too loud a setting, you can bust a speaker--three or four reviews, for other devices, testify to this; my feeling is that it's safer for voice than music), I would appreciate reports.
If it works for some but not all people, maybe we can try to figure out what the differences are. If it works for nobody, I have another idea how to get it working, but I'll need help from users.
Working for me, Criskelo v8 & Speedmod Kernel 3-6 just incase it matters.
Is there anybody it doesn't work for?
It does not work on the Stock Music Player since it has its own equalizer presets but works on other players on ICS and I assume it will do the same on Gingerbread. The increase in sound is not that loud but this little boost is definitely nice.
Most sound boosting apps do not work on the stock music player. You should probably mention it on the description to avoid getting bad reviews.

Hey, you're right. On my Epic 4G Touch with 2.3.6, it also doesn't work in the stock music player (well, actually, I don't use Speaker Boost myself, but instead I use Earpiece, which has some additional functions, but it does the audio boost the same way). I've never used the stock music player before, actually (I never listen to music; I use sound boost for movies and audiobooks). Thanks for the hint that the stock music player's equalizer is overriding this. I think that at on some devices I can override the stock music player's equalizer by grabbing the session ID of the music player audio session from the log, and attaching an equalizer to it with higher priority than the music player's equalizer. I will experiment with that when I have some time.
