Every time I'm on a voice/internet call, screen doesn't turns off and my ear/cheek extends notification bar. Even more, phone performs some actions from notification bar(deactivates WiFi, go to settings, Bluetooth, Aeroplane Mode). It becomes annoying and I can't find a way to fix this.
Any suggestions?

Ok, first of all I know this is going to sound dumb. The other day when I'd get a text message my phone would tell me with a voice that I've received a message and who it was from. Now it's not doing it. It just started doing it then stopped after a few days Did I turn off a setting or something? I'm stock rooted with Google now and wallet. Any ideas?
That's either driving mode or you messed with the accessibility settings. It's more than likely that you activated Driving Mode which is the notification bar and is very easy to tap accidently.

Yup, probably driving mode (although I don't know what driving mode is supposed to do other than announce texts/calls)

I'd also like to know why they have put in a separate switch for this.. shouldn't it be incorporated into the dock mode?

Because not everyone has a dock for their phone when driving.
I had this happen to me when i pressed anything while in chrome. I guess it was "Missed It!" interfering or something. Weird.
Hello,
My phone is on a montioring system that sends me a text when a system is having a problem. I need the alarm to be long and loud so I am positive to hear it even if sleeping. My problem is when I get one I want it to automatically stop making noise if I pick up my phone, sweep the screen saver or anything that indicates I'm going to look at the message.
How do I stop the text notification noise if I'm actually looking at my phone?
Thanks

Thanks -no app - just native text messaging notification. I changed the default sound for text messages to a long loud notifications so I respond to emergency texts. I just want to be able to quickly shut them off when I get them.

I don't know if this works for text messages but have you tried the 'turn over to mute' in motion settings? it works great for incoming phone calls.

No, you're not the only one!!
I use a flip cover and i close it during a call, i think the proximity sensor is so sensible..
Anyway, are you rooted or stock? Because with the stock rom appened too much, with custom rom a little bit less..
I'm using the stock rom...not rooted. Is there some kind of a fix but changing rom?

If you are having this problem and youre not rooted you can simply press the power button once you accept the call. You wouldnt face the problem then.

i believe that a smart phone should be smart on its own ...i'm not supposed to help it be smart
it has a sensor that should work properly.
and if i had root?

You had a problem. I gave you a simple solution. Its upto you to do what you want. If you had root you could recalibrate your sensor.

Date & time opens after call FIX
I'm using HTC Desire HD with samsung rom, and this issue happened to me as well. However, I've managed to find rom options under settings and there I've put automatic sleep whenever I turn off the screen instead of 5 seconds on default. Also I've found that pressing the small clock in the upper left/right corner opens date and time and I disabled that option... since then I've had no problems with my phone... I hope this helps

Not as far as i can tell, i've had this issue since 22R and i am currently on the latest 38R.
I never have this problem hmm that is odd.
I am on stock cm11s 38r, rooted, using twrp and Franco kernel that is it.
Make a test call but don't put it to your ear, then just cover the proximity sensor with your finger and uncover it, does that make the status bar scroll down? Maybe your proximity sensor is messed up and your face is making it scroll down

I have had the same problem currently on the latest 38r. I think the status bar may be coning down due to the tap to sleep feature. I am going to disable that and slcheck the next time I am on a call.

Its definitely a combination of the proximity sensor and the touch being active at the status bar area. Touching any other area during a call doesnt seem to do anything.
This is something the developers will have to explain.
But the bar remains 1cm from the top when the screen comes on. It's hangin' there until I touch the display, then comes all the way down.

I also have this phenomenon, since the update to 38R. Not a big issue, just annoying.
Same here, think it came with the 38R update, but not sure.

I am also facing same issue but If i use the phone from left ear then I did not face it. But yea from right ear, the issue is there. I guess the ear accidentally touch the top right corner of the screen (status bar) which is sensitive. To devs: pls disable right side touch to status bar while on call

If you are root you can use app seetings of xposed module
And set immersive mode for dialer
you got the last update? did it solved the issue?
in my case i think it didn't ...
Hey Guys,
i guess the most of u know the app "Vibrate Mode" from the Oneplus 2. And maybe u also know this app doesnt work anymore.
It seems like there is a method to get those features by using tasker, but i dont like this, since it is still buggy.
Maybe we can reach a dev, who can bring the "Vibrate Mode App" features back to the Oneplus 3, using OxygenOS and root/xposed.
I think there are really really much people out there, which would like to have the ability to change the alert slider to "all - vibrate - silent".
Since this is the only logical function imo. :cyclops:
Please push this thread to heaven, so we maybe get some dev's to work on this! :good:
Cheers!
I've already contacted the devs that made the previous mods. No reply
Use this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nqk.vibratemodeextended
And in settings allow all contacts in alert slider > priority
Works for me
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
If some dev happens to read this I'd love to have more features with the slider. For example best for me would be Normal - Flashlight - Silent etc.
Let's hope someone does this
There's already one xposed module (Alert slider) but it's old and not supporting op3.
for me VibrateMode works perfectly...

Same issue. When sliding back down from Silent to All, it remains in Vibrate :\
I can confirm Tasker works, and should remedy the issue of it remaining on vibrate. I'm now waiting for a way to reverse the slider, and I'm sure a free solution will come along soon enough too.

Are you sure it works? I have tried all the builds and I'm pretty sure this build was the closest as it worked correctly. However, every so often it doesn't go into vibrate mode or doesn't restore the volume level.
