Now I get mismatch between expected falcon_umts and existing xt1032. Guess I'll have to see about hacking the install script.

Even stock US didn't seem to help.
Flashed stock US again and wiped data this time round, the device still identifies as xt1032 instead of the required falcon_umts
Playing around with the script now... Actually, come to think of it, would you be able to post a CWM backup of the applied OTA? that ought to be much easier
I just tried to flash this update over official US global fw (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2578997) on a fr Moto G. I got an error during the verification of the curre,t system: "not enough free space on /system to appl patches. Installation aborted."
F***...
Any idea?
-----Update-----
The first try was with the original recovery.
I just tried with cwm, it says the device is xt1032 but the package is for falcon_umts...
When attempting to flash via CWM on UK XT1032, the following is returned:
Package expects build fingerprint of motorola/falcon_retuglb/falcon_utms:4.3/14.10.0Q3.X-84-16/6:user/release-keys or motorla/falcon_retuglb/falcon_utms:4.4.2/KXB20.9-1.8-1.1/4:user/release-keys; this device has motorola/cm_xt1032:4.3.1/JLS36I/126

Did you flash US stock firmware first? (though for me that didn't help, either)
No, UK GSM XT1032 with Stock Retail Rom. What to see if it can be forced onto non-US XT1032. Changing device name from 'falcon_retgb' to 'falcon_retuglb' using Android Model Changer makes no difference.
EDIT: Forgot to change build number.

Since the OTA is a patch rather than a full firmware, I doubt forcing it onto another base would work (UK and US do not behave entirely the same, even after initial boot up!)...
Has anybody tried flashing this over the telus/koodo version of the moto G?
It appears the device name is stored somewhere outside of android. So to flash the US ROM is not enough. Two obvious choices: Find that location and change it, if that's even possible, or attempt to modify the install script.
You must be doing something wrong. The OTA flashes fine here onto a UK device running US Global ROM.
You must be running the US_retail_XT1032_14.10.0Q3.X-84-16_CFC.xml.zip ROM on your device with an unlocked bootloader. Ignore the errors whilst flashing the ROM. Let the phone boot up once, then turn it off. Open bootloader menu then go to recovery and open it. Now use adb sideload to push the Blur_Version.14.14.16.falcon_umts.Retail.en.US.zip OTA over to the phone and flash it. Wait for the patching to finish and you'll be on US global kitkat.
Before anyone asks.. sorry but I don't have the time to extract the system as it's Christmas and I have family stuff to deal with.
1. I am not a "noob" I am flashing roms, kernel and recovery since the begining of Android.
2. I have done exactly what you said:
I followed the other thread, i am in US_retail_XT1032_14.10.0Q3.X-84-16_CFC (i verified it in settings)
I tried to flash the file by sideload, by copy and flash from the original recovery and cwm and it does not work!

Agreed and even removing the falcon_umts check in the install script does nothing, the update never actually proceeds on my device.

All the update checks for is the correct build fingerprint in build.prop so I don't quite understand why you are having problems. You do have an XT1032 device right?

Fully RADIO support(No modem blobs changes)
Direct from Motorola OTA.
Download link: http://d-h.st/aHg

WIPE DALVIK.
ENJOY!
THANKS: Antiquezip for his OTA package
I'll add screenshots and more things to the post later, but now, enjoy all KK features!
So seeing as those of us who installed the original OTA can't flash a custom recovery, would we be able to downgrade back to 4.3 then flash CWM and then flash this zip? Will this also work with the US GSM AWS version is basically what I'm asking? I know you were working on getting this to the Global GSM version.
@josalaito you should credit antiquezip.

Well. I know it says in the title "All variants". Guess I could just flash and find out. Downgrading was no problem. I gave it a shot just to make sure and it worked without a hitch. Was then able to re-flash the original OTA no problem.
Do we really need to wipe data if we come from stock 4.3 to 4.4.2?

Flashing it right now. In the process of setting it up.
Edit: Working good for now. Confirmed WiFi does not work. And "Settings" does FC when you attempt to enter "Security", but that was stated in the OP. Root is working. I flashed SuperSU after flashing the ROM and Xposed works perfectly. Please be aware that I am using a US GSM version. So if anyone coming here is looking for confirmation on this working for a Global GSM or other device outside of the US, I cannot confirm that.
OK, keymaster is added by motorola to firmware folder and i don't added to the rom, so this is the cause of the bugs.

The original update OTA can be obtained here: WWE_4.07.1700.4-3.62.1700.1_KTU84L.H4_release_377648

You would have to put the OTA at the right location and name it exactly what the recovery expects and I don't know how to do that.
Thing is with stock recovery, there are no options, it either updates or resets to factory default.

Just wait a day or two.
I haven't really noticed a performance increase or decrease tbh after flashing the new firmware. It says "5.11.401.10" because I edited the android-info.txt file. But the date is 5/16/2014, to confirm that it is the newer v1.54 hboot. How would I go about making a deodex system dump into a flashable rom.zip? I have the system dump if someone can help me with the procedure.
Hello everyone.
Two hours ago I received the notification about the Android 5.0 update. I downloaded it and hit "Install". Then, "TeamWin" started, but not the update. I rebooted into System and tried to update again - but it tells me that 4.4.4 is the latest version I can get now. I'm on Build KTU84P now.
1) Do I need to remove TeamWin? If yes, with what?
2) How can I start the update again? I'm on a super slow connection and it would hurt to download the 500 MB again…
Thank you!

You need to remove TeamWin, and load up your stock recovery. I don't have the exact instructions for this unfortunately.
The OTA update will come back to your phone soon, usually. Did for me within the hour.
The issue I am having now, back with stock recovery, is during the install I am getting a dead Android error icon, and can't continue. Looking for any help I can, and hopefully it will help you too.

Trying to remove the root right now via SuperSU. I am hopeful it will work better afterwards.
Edit: SuperSU unrooted it, rebooted, did OTA again, error again. Is there no way to find out what this error is?
WARNING: THIS HAS BRICKED PHONES! It is suspected that having an encrypted phone causes these bricks, but that has not been confirmed. If your data partition is encrypted, it is extra important that you perform a factory reset before taking this OTA. Doing this will remove the encryption.
WARNING: INSTALLING THIS ON A LOCKED BOOTLOADER WILL ELIMINATE ALL CHANCE OF YOU EVER UNLOCKING YOUR BOOTLOADER.
If your bootloader is unlocked, it will not be re-locked after this update.
Do NOT flash this using TWRP. If you want to do that, use this version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/development/rom-mcg24-251-5-100-stock-t3512949
So if you're a bad enough dude to flash this anyway, follow these instructions:
1. Backup all data on your phone. It will be lost.
2. If your bootloader is locked, make sure you are on SU4TL-49. If you aren't, take all available OTAs until you are.
3. If your bootloader is unlocked and you have TWRP installed, flash SU4TL-49 using this package: https://mega.nz/#!3xRhiaSR!KxH2Ya_BYK4zBjrxmej7dqaaDJVT1coTFJVJ5Fvb2WM
4. If you have TWRP installed on your phone, download the stock SU4TL-49 recovery here: https://mega.nz/#!L1AkQD4T!qoZIlLa-wuUBLMEi_gE574meiHd6Pehb34a-x3Gb-V8 and install it using the install image option in the install menu in TWRP. Reboot to recovery.
3. Perform a factory reset using the stock recovery menu. This will wipe all data and ensure that everything is formatted exactly as it should be.
4. Boot the phone normally and place the marshmallow update on the root of the directory that pops up when you plug in your phone.
5. Boot to recovery and at the stock recovery menu, select "apply update from sdcard."
6. Select the update and cross your fingers.

Are you sure that that file is the right one? It has the same version number as su4tl-49.

This used to always be Motorola's naming scheme. New updates were named after the firmware version they replaced.
Sweet. I am going to wait till it is more stable. I do have a bad esn Turbo but I will need to unlock to bootloader to test.

Rename to Blur_Version.24.81.5.quark_verizon.verizon.en.US.zip before use, throw in internal storage, and check for updates.
PS: I have 64Gb Employee Edition, and still had not receive update by air. What a shame, VZ! )

Error 7? Are you trying to flash this in TWRP? Because you can't do that with this package. You need the stock recovery. I'm uploading a TWRP-friendly version now, but the internet is being slow today.

Negative. Stock recovery on a system that reports "Official". I'm at a loss.

Strange. Try reflashing SU4TL-49. If my TWRP package doesn't do it for you, use the full firmware package and do it manually with fastboot.
Installed successfully on two devices.
...
kitcostantino, did you refresh system, kernel, modem and recovery by SU4TL-49? Are you sure you didn't mess with Turbo Maxx ROMs in the past? Foreign bootloader can cause even brick, not just error. See bootloader status at fastboot mode should be " locked, status 0"

lol. lawd, No. Ive been rocking status 3 for over a year.
As a tip, if anyone else with an unlocked bootloader runs into this,
what i had to do was restore my su-44 unmodified backup, OTA to SU-49, and then, after confirming my
q/e status was 0/1 i was able to update via the file in my Mega download folder. all is well now. they even added the newer version of command center. sweet. thank you all!!

Um, I couldn't tell you.i be been unlocked since the day Sunshine could unlocked our bootloader's. What I can tell you is you should absolutely unlock that via Sunshine before you even dream of applying this update. There will never be another opportunity.
Just my
.02. This is likely the last update for this phone, and your only chance of seeing N is via custom Roms.

Yes it should. See instructions in OP.

The security patch included is (most likely) the July one, since Samsung also just released a new software update to international models which includes the July security patch and Verizon has been updating the "Galaxy S" series phones with the July update over the past few weeks.

Updato is one way; this shows the list for the Verizon S5 with the most recent at the top; they haven't gotten the new update up yet though.
I think that another way would be for someone to dig through the update.zip file which would be on the phone of someone who got the OTA update downloaded but had not yet installed it yet.
To confirm, the only thing that's different between the dev-friendly version (when it comes out) and the stock is the missing aboot? Thanks again.

Yes and the firmware just came out today so I'm currently in the process of uploading both versions.

Is this flashable with Odin only or possibly need to already be on a specific kernal? I have tried on two S5900V's through TWRP and both result in a failure message. Both are on jkruse de-bloated MM rom at the moment.

Odd. It works for me.

Since no one wanted to chime in and help me out in my post, you need to unzip the file and load the md5 into Odin's AP slot and flash it. Then let the phone do its thing and flash the latest TWRP with odin after. Then go back into TWRP and flash supersu to gain root again. Trying to flash right within TWRP is not an option, not sure why its not explained.
So this update wont "factory reset" my device?

I always flash super su and whatever else I need in recovery after I've flashed the rom so I cant give you a definitive answer. Both phones did upgrade without data loss and now advanced calling/wifi calling actually work now which is why I flashed in the first place.
Working?
Is this working? Ive tried everything and i have the Toshiba chip. Emmc 11. It soft bricks if i try to downgraded to stock builds.

If you flash the dev boot loader friendly version it wont screw with your bootloader whatsoever. Before you restart go back in TWRP and flash supersu to get root again. Saying it "unlocked boot loader" may cause confusion to people because it does not, you need to manually go from locked to DEV status via a few of the methods posted in here.
