Just got done installing OTA was pushed to my phone. Working flawlessly. I wasn't rooted so I wasn't able to pull the file (I think that's why.) I looked in /cache and /data with two separate file browsers and couldn't get it. Sorry. Its good to know that update is still being pushed. I thought they may have put it on hold.

The same Droid Maxx OTA should work for all!
mount("ext4", "EMMC", "system", "/system");
file_getprop("/system/build.prop", "ro.build.fingerprint") == "motorola/obake_verizon/obake:4.2.2/SU1-15/3:user/release-keys" ||
file_getprop("/system/build.prop", "ro.build.fingerprint") == "motorola/obake_verizon/obake:4.4/SU2-3/15:user/release-keys" ||
abort("Package expects build fingerprint of motorola/obake_verizon/obake:4.2.2/SU1-15/3:user/release-keys or motorola/obake_verizon/obake:4.4/SU2-3/15:user/release-keys; this device has " + getprop("ro.build.fingerprint") + ".");

I just posted the updater script from the update for you!
Well.... I still think it should work cuz the script says it has to work with a device with a device id of "obake" which is same for Maxx and Ultra and AFIK both have the same build fingerprints..... Anyways the worst thing that could happen is it might not flash at all!! :good:

The update.zip works across all of the 2013 Droid lineup. I've personally used the Maxx update on a Mini, and others have used it on their Ultra.

Yeah I have an ultra and it worked just fine

Has anybody else gotten the update? I just got it but haven't installed it. Does anyone know what is different and will we lose root if updated?

If u upload it here some devs can do there magic with it to root it and have deodex rooted version for everyone to flash. U might need to have a megaupload account cuz the update will be to big to upload from xda

Can you just post the filename of the update? When 2.3.5 came out people were able to find the update on Google's servers once the filename was known.

One guy has it and he's unsure how to retrieve it. A simple file name will work (or the URL from the logcat) to just pull it manually. The file itself will work equally as well.

The update is flagged by IMEI / ESN and rolls out slowly only to devices that have been flagged to receive it at checkin.
In Root explorer, you have root access? If you go to the root (/) you don't see /system or /cache?
ok. i never got the update notification...
thats why i wanted too install it manually. lol

Strange. They should be the same. Odd you have the new radio and such old software version. Its as if your build.prop didn't change. That screen should look like the OP's except the funky font.

I had the same problem with latest recovery. I switched to TWRP 2.6.3.0 and it installed ok.
Having checked the zip, I'm meta-inf com.google.android updater-script it's actually running
assert(getprop("ro.product.device") == "m7" || getprop("ro.build.product") =="m7");
Running getprop in a shell is giving m7 for both of these so have no idea why this is failing

Could be something to do with the latest recoveries being updated for 4.4 support. What a hassle. There is no reason for this not to work though.

Rom released and still full of bug .. really anything MIUI ..: P
To everyone who gets errors with installing, you're probably using TWRP 2.6.3.3, which was pulled because it was giving errors with installing roms.
So, downgrade your TWRP to 2.6.3.0 and the rom will install successfully!
EDIT: New link on site 3 online....
