Hi
I think my problem is in worst situation ever.
First, I was on CM11.
Then I heard VZW GS3 finally got 4.3 update, so I just went back to 4.1.2 official firmware.
Then my problem started.
I got that update, and then boot was successful.
However, all of my game data and pictures were gone.
So I tried to fix that because I thought that game data and pictures were still remain at some where.
Why?
cause the memory usage showed to me it was 4GB left.
it was same amount as when I was in 4.1.2 with all the data and pictures.
so, I tried to go back to 4.1.2, but I couldn't.
And I was using CWM latest version for GS3, but OTA disable it.
So every time that I trying to go to recovery mod, it shows "System software not authorized blahblahblah..."
Anyway, then I try to boot that system nomarly.
I thought it will going to boot, but it shows Samsung Galaxy S3 logo, then booted again.
then shows "System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless blahblahblah..."
Then I try to flesh CWM 6.0.1.2 recover by odin 3.07, but it keep shows Failed.
I look up to phone error message was
Secure check failed : recovery.
It didn't installed.
So, I fleshed into stock recovery, and it installed perfectly.
So I did factory reset, and wipe caches, but still same.
It is not booting.
keep showing
System software not authorized.........
is any solution that I can do with now?
(sorry for my bad English.)

Hey guys
I have a Samsung Galaxy S. Last week I tried installing a battery icon and after installation, it rebooted my phone. It's now stuck giving me the message titled, "Factory Test Failed" w/ error,"no package was found that provides the factory_test action‏" I have the "Confirm" button, but everytime I click it, the same msg pops up again. This happens after the Galaxy and rogers logo loads. I tried going to recovery mode and clean up my user data and cleaned up the internal SD, but nothing seems to work.
I don't have my USB in debugging mode, so I am not sure if Odin is going to work on it. Any help? I did upgrade it to 2.2.
You may have to reflash 2.2 to get everything back to stock and/or do a factory reset within recovery if you can
You crashed your phone - try to reinstall the software.
I have a p5113 and it is running 4.2.2 it is a friends. It turns on all the way to the homescreen for about 30 seconds. Then it reboots. I have gotten into recovery and it lets me wipe data factory reset. Then when I go to reboot it shows an error below the android and there has been no data wipe when it reboots. and reboots and reboots.........It also says NO COMMAND when booting recovery below the android. OH, I also tried flashing another stock recovery. Did not fix issue with recovery.
I have gotten into download mode and tried to cf root. Doesnt work, no recovery. Still same as above just goes to stock with no command written at bottom then error when you go to reboot it. Tried both versions of CWM and TWRP Odin files. DONT WORK. Tried to flash recovery by zip and get signature verification failure.
I figured oh, I will do what I always do to tablets try and reinstall the firmware. Which is the 4.2.2 firmware I go ahead and odin it, everything looks fine, it did take way too long like an hour and half. Passes, reboots, same operating system same data didnt change a thing! Still rebooting still recovery errors. Tried to downgrade to ICS and it passed after an hour and a half of slow odining NOTHING again same story as JB didnt change anything.
I have noticed that there is an avg in apps. I never get enough time to uninstall it. It always reboots before I can get to it. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.

not a brick and I am on stock if you would have read the OP you would know that. I have had a brick before the definition of a brick is a device that does not turn on. I have flashed many tabs with stock and customs. Thanks for the great advice but I am a member of XDA and I like to do things myself or with the help of others in my community. I REFUSE TO TAKE ANY ANDROID DEVICE TO CUSTOMER CARE THAT STILL TURNS ON>

i like your confidence brother but i was just helping you
also with your threads title in thought you were still having bootloop
also boot loop mainly happens when system files interfere with each other and result in instability during boot and crashes also it is not always necessary that in boot loop device would not turn on as you said earlier
i have seen boot loop on my tab even during charging animation as it was off it was due to use of flashing scripts that conflicted with each other
Hey guys,
Is data recovery possible after a flash? Also, what is wrong? I have searched but no answer directly hits on this. I am not a tech guy- Biology- sorry for that ahead. To the issue, I dlowded a software update to my Galaxy s3.....and boom froze on Samsung screen. I can turn phone off and on. It would not boot past Samsung. So I went into cache partrition, and tried a system reboot- cannot. So then I seen a program that supposively recovers data after factory reset if you do nothing else to the phone. However, problem I hit te dreaded factory reset- nothing. Over a software update? My computer is not recognizing the device. So I went to Samsung, they tried installing software, however, the computers were recognizing, but not connecting. One tech said they did not have flash- I went back again, the othertech said they did. Anywho, after 4 days, I forked my phone over to a repair guy. He I believe tried Odin- as it currently sits in odin mode. Now it was getting into download mode- but ow I have this message- " Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again." A samsung guy mentioned it might be able to be flashed, as my concern data- not backed up. This info is pretty important, as I have several contacts and mssgs. The two modes my phone can go into: Odin and recovery. I could really use the help, on both saving data, and getting the phone to fire- as it might be able to- but data?
Thanks in advance.

Before or after the a Flash? Thanks for the reply.
Earlier today, I got an error upon starting up my Samsung Galaxy S5 (T-Mobile) that says "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped." My background has been turned to black and none of the buttons work properly. The phone IS rooted (and has been for about a week), but runs on stock OS (5.0 Lollipop) and stock recovery. I have never flashed a rom on this phone. I already tried restoring from a Titanium Backup I made yesterday before this error ever showed up, but it did nothing. Perhaps it's relevant that this error first happened after I booted the phone in recovery mode (to see what stock recovery looked like), then selected "reboot phone." I also already tried wiping the cache partition, wiping the System UI cache, and rebooting is Safe Mode. None of these worked. I thought unrooting the phone might help, but I accidentally uninstalled SuperSU without removing the root. With the System UI down, I can't install any apps at all, such as SuperSU again or a file explorer that would allow me to remove the "su" folder in /system/bin/. Now I have no way of unrooting, short of wiping the phone. I DO NOT want to do that. How do I get my phone back to normal?
--EDIT-- I finally gave in and did the factory reset. I rooted it again using the same method as before (in order to use Titanium Backup), and just to see what would happen I went to recovery mode. Sure enough, I was greeted with the same error as before. I had already rebooted the phone normally multiple times before trying to use recovery mode, so I have no doubt that the stock recovery mode is the cause of these issues.

Personally, I don't like Titanium Backup. I seem to be in the minority with that opinion, but it's given me issues in the past. Try flashing a non-stock recovery like TWRP for your S5 and either wiping your phone or wiping and flashing another ROM.
Samsung phones seem to dislike rooted users for some reason

Too late, I already wiped the phone. I re-rooted using Chainfire's auto-root, then flashed CWM so that stock recovery doesn't screw me over again. Before restoring from the backup, I booted into CWM recovery and restarted the phone. No error. I hope it stays that way, this whole thing is a huge hassle. There really needs to be a disclaimer with Chainfire's auto-root telling people to get rid of stock recovery!
Hi there

Hey guys,
I have encountered a serious problem on my device. Today I rebooted my phone once and it has just stuck on the samsung logo. Then the phone began to reboot without ending....It could not just start. With the help of TWRP I have made a full wipe and tried to reinstall my actual firmware Superman 1.10.5, but I always stuck at 25%, the phone did not respond to any actions. I even tried to flash the stock 4-file firmware with Odin, but it did not help, the phone constantly reboots. Sometimes it manages to boot to the stage where the sign "installation of applications" appears, but a while later it stucks again and reboots. Please, help me to solve the issue, because I am begininng to think that it would be unpossible to recover the phone. I am only able to enter the download mode or recovery, anything else does not work.
Thanks....

Really sad to hear that story mate. First things first, I assume your BL version is matching with the firmware your flashing right. And when you go to TWRP, can you see /system and /data partition from the mount menu? If not, you have to perform a factory reset. I had issue like that with my Galaxy S7 and usually factory reset(not wiping) helped me with that situation. Since your system can boot up, but crashes after awhile, I do suspect that some of your partition might be corrupted(at least its what happened to me). So trying factory reset can be a good bet for you.
And... I think you have to provide more information with which variant you are using, and your BL version, TWRP version too, solve the problem quicker. Hope this information helps.

Yep, you are right, BL versions always matched firmwares. I tried to wipe the phone with TWRP 3.0.2.3 and also to make a factory reset with the stock recovery. The stock firmware, which I tried to flash, was G930FXXU1BPH6_G930FOXE1BPH1_SER consisting of 4 files including BL,AP,CP and CSC. After 3rd or 4th flash of the same stock firmware the phone suddenly became alive and began to boot. Wu-huuu:silly: I was happy as a child. After having successfully launched the stock rom I have again flashed TWRP 3.0.2.3, went to "wipe" option and formatted data. Then I have installed a Superman Rom 1.12 and everything went the right way. I don't understand only one thing: why after having wiped the phone several times and having reseted it through the stock as well as TWRP recovery it didn't want to boot.
As you said, I suppose that the one of partitions was corrupted. Oh damn, I thought that I won't be able to resuscitate this phone.
I have flashed about 20 phones during my life, but I have never ever encountered such serious problems.
