[Q] PLEASE HELP, Stuck in bootloop and no way out! - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a p5113 and it is running 4.2.2 it is a friends. It turns on all the way to the homescreen for about 30 seconds. Then it reboots. I have gotten into recovery and it lets me wipe data factory reset. Then when I go to reboot it shows an error below the android and there has been no data wipe when it reboots. and reboots and reboots.........It also says NO COMMAND when booting recovery below the android. OH, I also tried flashing another stock recovery. Did not fix issue with recovery.
I have gotten into download mode and tried to cf root. Doesnt work, no recovery. Still same as above just goes to stock with no command written at bottom then error when you go to reboot it. Tried both versions of CWM and TWRP Odin files. DONT WORK. Tried to flash recovery by zip and get signature verification failure.
I figured oh, I will do what I always do to tablets try and reinstall the firmware. Which is the 4.2.2 firmware I go ahead and odin it, everything looks fine, it did take way too long like an hour and half. Passes, reboots, same operating system same data didnt change a thing! Still rebooting still recovery errors. Tried to downgrade to ICS and it passed after an hour and a half of slow odining NOTHING again same story as JB didnt change anything.
I have noticed that there is an avg in apps. I never get enough time to uninstall it. It always reboots before I can get to it. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.

not a brick and I am on stock if you would have read the OP you would know that. I have had a brick before the definition of a brick is a device that does not turn on. I have flashed many tabs with stock and customs. Thanks for the great advice but I am a member of XDA and I like to do things myself or with the help of others in my community. I REFUSE TO TAKE ANY ANDROID DEVICE TO CUSTOMER CARE THAT STILL TURNS ON>

i like your confidence brother but i was just helping you
also with your threads title in thought you were still having bootloop
also boot loop mainly happens when system files interfere with each other and result in instability during boot and crashes also it is not always necessary that in boot loop device would not turn on as you said earlier
i have seen boot loop on my tab even during charging animation as it was off it was due to use of flashing scripts that conflicted with each other

Hello, i am android newbie, but i use my 5801 for a few months. But with help of this forum i make from my stock phone pretty good machine for me. Everything was perfect, i instal cwm, root, kernel g3 2.4 oc,setcpu, bassbeats,... A still no problems. But two days back i tried to instal BLN via SGS kernel flasher within android. During flashing kernel it was o.k. but at the end phone freeze a take did not reboot. Just screen stay for 10 min same. So i decided to hold power button and turn off phone. After that all the user apps were gone. So i decided to recovery via cwm from backup. after that phone started , still no user apps, only system apps and no possibility to install anything cause task manager in phone showed 0kb data , like rom was not mounted or i dont know... I started panic and wipe everything boot, cache, sd,data ... just all. And reflash kernel 2.4 back to stock
After done that it was totally in ....hole. Phone could boot to recovery but, could not start android. Just logo "samsung" is still on the screen. I tried to instal firmware( samsung 5800 xwjpi with files sbl.bin and boot.bin through odin but still same...Only boot animation is changed now...And still is just shining "samsung" logo. Is there any chance to repare that? I think i should install bootloader but i am not sure how. Or is it automatically doing by flashing rom? Pls help if u can. Many thanks.

I think it's kernel related problem. Try to flash CM7 or Kyrillos 10 or use PuruKisadHybrid
It is possible that was only temporary problem as looks , freezing has never repeat again . But after your advices i tried flash cm7 i now use cm7 kyrillos 10.6. Just testing , only well known gaming issues yet. But now i know flashing is so easy :victory:

[Q] Phone randomly boots at times, other times hangs at galaxy S3 logo

So I had a problem where I had issues getting a ROM onto my phone after entirely formatting it.
Some kind members helped me to get the phone running again and then getting TWRP 2.6.3.1 on it with the 4.1.2 build.
This was flashed to the phone using Odin after using E-Z Unlock 1.2 to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP 2.6.0.0.
I saw some random issues when I would reboot or power off and on with it locking on the Samsung Galaxy S III logo... but the phone rebooted eventually and I was able to continue use.
Fast forward to today -- for the first time in awhile, my battery fully discharged. When I got home, I plugged in and tried to power on my phone. Locked at the Samsung Galaxy S III logo... EVERY. TIME.
So I go into recovery... I find that the first thing that greets me is a message asking me for a password. This is odd, since I never put a password on anything... I try to mount the system/cache/external partitions. I try to factory reset to try a different rom. I'm told it works but there's a failure message because of E: cannot decrypt data. I try to flash a different rom anyway. It says it was successful. I flash the gapps, more success messages. I try to reboot and again I'm locked at the Samsung Galaxy S III logo.
Random side note -- sometimes my Samsung Galaxy S III logo has a blue android cat of some sort on it... not sure where that came from (one of the CMR flashes when I was trying to fix the phone, methinks).
It's so strange -- because I was obviously able to load a custom ROM with the current bootloader and recovery -- and now after my phone's battery drained, I'm back to being dead in the water... I really need to get to the bottom of having my phone boot into a ROM reliably.
Previous ROM was Gummy Nightly 01-06-14.
New flashed ROM is CyanFox 2.0.2.
Please help. I need my phone up and working as soon as possible here, I'm expecting important calls in the morning, so this is horrible timing.

Yeah -- I can boot everywhere, pretty much.
I ended up formatting everything... I tried CyanFox again, but after install, it was throwing errors all over the place (not sure why).
I then formatted everything again and loaded up Gummy... it seems to be working relatively well.
I'm not sure what caused TWRP to think it was encrypted, but I'm guessing that had something to do with the issue?
Is there anything I can do to try to prevent this type of issue from happening in the future?

I know for a fact that there has been issues with the flashing of 4.4 and encryption. The best bet is to turn encryption on then off again. Now you said you never encrypted it but the Turn it on then off again approch might work here. I also know for a while TWRP had issues flashing 4.4 so it might be worth it to run CWM.

[SOLVED] Constant reboot, need urgent help!

Hey guys,
I have encountered a serious problem on my device. Today I rebooted my phone once and it has just stuck on the samsung logo. Then the phone began to reboot without ending....It could not just start. With the help of TWRP I have made a full wipe and tried to reinstall my actual firmware Superman 1.10.5, but I always stuck at 25%, the phone did not respond to any actions. I even tried to flash the stock 4-file firmware with Odin, but it did not help, the phone constantly reboots. Sometimes it manages to boot to the stage where the sign "installation of applications" appears, but a while later it stucks again and reboots. Please, help me to solve the issue, because I am begininng to think that it would be unpossible to recover the phone. I am only able to enter the download mode or recovery, anything else does not work.
Thanks....

Really sad to hear that story mate. First things first, I assume your BL version is matching with the firmware your flashing right. And when you go to TWRP, can you see /system and /data partition from the mount menu? If not, you have to perform a factory reset. I had issue like that with my Galaxy S7 and usually factory reset(not wiping) helped me with that situation. Since your system can boot up, but crashes after awhile, I do suspect that some of your partition might be corrupted(at least its what happened to me). So trying factory reset can be a good bet for you.
And... I think you have to provide more information with which variant you are using, and your BL version, TWRP version too, solve the problem quicker. Hope this information helps.

Yep, you are right, BL versions always matched firmwares. I tried to wipe the phone with TWRP 3.0.2.3 and also to make a factory reset with the stock recovery. The stock firmware, which I tried to flash, was G930FXXU1BPH6_G930FOXE1BPH1_SER consisting of 4 files including BL,AP,CP and CSC. After 3rd or 4th flash of the same stock firmware the phone suddenly became alive and began to boot. Wu-huuu:silly: I was happy as a child. After having successfully launched the stock rom I have again flashed TWRP 3.0.2.3, went to "wipe" option and formatted data. Then I have installed a Superman Rom 1.12 and everything went the right way. I don't understand only one thing: why after having wiped the phone several times and having reseted it through the stock as well as TWRP recovery it didn't want to boot.
As you said, I suppose that the one of partitions was corrupted. Oh damn, I thought that I won't be able to resuscitate this phone.
I have flashed about 20 phones during my life, but I have never ever encountered such serious problems.

One PlusOne recovery loop- Help needed

Hello, I need serious help with my phone.
So, after a long while of having my phone rooted, and had a case of boot loop with twrp, I decided to go back to stock os and hung up the root days. I thought i did it right by getting a stock os and flashed it, and it worked for couple months, until yesterday.
My phone keeps going into Cyanogen Recovery, I tried rebooting so many times, once it did boot up to OS, but it went back after i restarted phone or it died.
Now I can't no longer get back, I thought factory resetting will work but it didn't. (Tried both wipe cache partition and Full factory reset option from the recovery) I found unroot your phone toolkits, thinking it could help fix my problem and just unroot/ give me back to OS (I wished i found this before flashing that custom stock rom).
But the toolkit doesn't work for me, it finds adb devices, but it cant find fast boot devices, because my phone cant even go into fast boot.
I tried manual, and the option from the recovery, it keeps going back to recovery. I have an option for apply update, and then apply from ADB, that was the only way for my pc to recognize my phone from adb devices. Any clues on how to fix?

Will try, Ill respond back if anything happens!
Hmm I'm still having trouble because, I can't get into fast boot for some reason. It's keep going back to Cyanogen recovery. It has the option to reload into bootloader, but goes into cyanogen recovery again.
There is an option in dev options, uncheck the "update cyanogen recovery" and flash twrp again

Galaxy S7 G930U Unlocked stuck in boot loop - already flashed successfully but no fix

I'm really hoping you guys can help me out here. This is an S7 I bought from a Best Buy when I visited the US in 2017, and I got the Unlocked version so I would be able to use it back in my home country. Unfortunately, this is the second time I've had trouble with it in a span of 4 months and the first time it was a hardware problem and ended up quite expensive to get fixed.
Today I was using my phone normally when I decided to use the Google instant translation to translate something on my computer screen. That caused my phone to freeze, restart, and then tell me I was using an unauthorized flash and it was going to be locked, or something like that. Even after restarting a few more times, the phone would never get past that screen. I proceeded to factory reset/cache reset and from then on the phone just got stuck in a boot loop.
I learned that the fix would be to flash the phone. After a lot of work I found the G930UUESACSI1-20190930144640 firmware (the XAA version, for Unlocked) and successfully used Odin 3.13 at the Download Mode screen to flash my phone. It then restarted, went back to the blue screen, started installing some updates, when it was 100% it restarted again. Unfortunately, the loop remained. Galaxy S7 logo first, then the Samsung logo, then it just repeats.
I have also tried turning the phone off with the Recovery screen shut down option (since I can't seem to be able to turn it off with the power button right now), wait a few minutes, then turn it back on. Nothing changed.
Please, does anyone have any insight into this? What else could I possibly try, or what could I be doing wrong? I really don't want to send it to repair yet again in such a short time.
Many thanks in advance.

You need to clear the cache after flashing to get out of the boot loop.
Use the download key combo to restart. As soon as the screen goes black move to Volume up+home+power.
In the recovery menu choose clear/ Wipe cache, then choose reboot.
I apologize for not updating this thread before when it was still recent. The fact is that I didn't manage to fix my phone; clearing the cache after flashing did nothing to stop the loop.
I ended up taking the phone to the people who have fixed it in the past and after more than one month, they gave up. So I got my phone back and I want to try to give it another go before I just sell it for parts.
Unfortunately, my phone has come back even worse. Now it has no Recovery Menu to speak of, at least none that I can access; after a few seconds of the blue text on the top saying that it's entering recovery mode, it then proceeds to a blue screen saying: "Security Error: This phone has been flashed with unauthorized software and is locked.". I can still access Download Mode.
I have attempted flashing a few firmwares that I believe should have worked with my SM-G930U. Odin listed the attempts as "pass" and, after restarting and going back to the Download screen, it says the binary is Official. However, after trying to restart the phone normally, it starts displaying the blue screen again, and then, after going to Download mode, the binary is reverted to "Custom".
I believe right now the order of the day is to get the recovery menu to work again so I can do all the cache cleaning that seems to be required after flashing firmware. Any ideas at all on how I should proceed? Is there something specific I should download to fix the recovery menu?
How many files are you flashing in Odin, is it just 1 file in the AP slot, or 4 files: AP, BL, etc.? Also, is your phone rooted?

Never rooted, was using the phone legit before it froze and entered boot loop. I flashed all 4 files, multiple times.
Someone tried fixing my phone a few days after I replied to this thread and some progress seems to have been made, but now the phone cannot get past a black screen with a "SBL Error! rdx_init!" in red text, and "upload mode" in yellow text. Still cannot access Recovery Mode, but Download Mode still works.
I did a little Googling on rdx_init errors and it seems I need a firmware dump from another G930U or something like that...any ideas on how I can proceed?
Flash it with Eng Boot in all slots using patched Odin. Reboot to recovery and wipe it. Reboot system. Then root it with advanced adb root. Links for all of this are here in xda. Enjoy

Sorry, I'm not an expert at this by any means, I'm not sure what files to get. So far I've found and downloaded the following:
S7_Oreo_Nougat_Adb_Advanced_Root_V10
S7_Oreo_Nougat_Adb_Advanced_Root_V12
S7_Oreo_Su_Binary_Only_ADB_Root
But I had no luck flashing any of these cause my binary is 10. Is there any more help you can provide me? I really don't know how to proceed

I thought I had one in my phone, but I don't. If you look at the thread where you downloaded the Root_V12, you will see it. It's near the end of the thread somewhere.
