Dear Buzz,Rudegear other experst and members,
I was surfing net in landscape mode and till then everything was alright..but when I restored the orientation to the potrait mode, the alignment gone heyware....somehow managed to get back..but can u tell...why this is with 2005 and hw this can be fixed...
Do I need to assign a button for rotating the screen?
Pls reply
It sounds like a problem I occasionally have with 1.60b. It usually happens after PIE has crashed. The screen looks right but it misinterprets touches: usually it acts like it's rotated through 90 or 180 degrees. Touch one corner and another reacts!
I take regular backups to a storage card, so a quick restore puts it right.
After lock the screen of my o3d and wake it up, the touch panel is very unstable. By using some multi-touch testing app, it can found that the touch panel can only recognize one finger accurately. It there anyone know how to fix this bug????
i did not notice this problem. Try wipe. What firmware you use??
Try to install Android system info. Tap on menu, and touchscreen test. There should be ok.
For me in some testing apps from market, there where some anomalies. Eg. Taping both fingers very fast, and then it recognized only one touch etc.
Seems to happen to me as well on stock 10J Optus Australia firmware. The touch screen seems to be able to detect >10 fingers (Most other smartphones are 3-5) but when more than one is used, the touch points seem to jump to the other finger (For example, in fruit ninja, when two fingers slide vertically quickly, sometimes a random horizontal cut occurs).
Its pretty annoying in games - Especially when trying to shoot and aim in Modern Combat 2, I keep doing 180 degree turns randomly.

Yes I have the same problem in games, sudden180 degree spins in backstab, shadowgun ...
I'm on stock GB.
happens almost everytime screen locks when a game is running. try playing minisquadron and let the screen lock. when you wake phone up only one touch will be recognised at a time for an interval ranging from a few seconds till you shut down the game and restart it or even sometimes restart your phone. had it since v10a all the way to v20a and believe my i tried them all. even on custom roms....
The solution: (kind of)

I thought I was just crazy when this happened.
The 3-tap fix doesn't seem to completely fix it but it helps without having to restart the game.
Friends, i am having a strange problem... In my HTC Chacha it is showing wrong direction in every compass app and in maps too.
Tilt control is also not working fine.. When I hold my phone Landscap The car keeps on moving to right side... but if i hold it in a little inclined the control works fine.. I have many time callibrated my device but no solution...
MY english is Weeks hope u got what i am trying to say.. Help me plz...
The same is happening to me, using the last SuperOSR-2.5 rom.
The compass of the Chacha seems to be fairly inaccurate indeed, but this is a general problem of magentometers in small electronic devices. It will respond to other magnetic fields or metal-objects as well so if you are sitting indoors at your desk you may completely forget it.
Normally you can recalibrate your compass by moving it in figure-8 circles. Just search for "recalibrate compass" on youtube and you will find a lot of videos showing you how to do it. AFAIK the compass will be calibrated continuously by the system so there is no need or way to trigger the calibration process manually.
For optimal calibration go out in the open, turn the phone on holding it flat facing up and move it in circles. After that hold it upright and repeat. Finally hold it upright facing the side and repeat again.
Is there anyway to calibrate my acceloremeter is kind of weird because in almost all apps if I tilt it down the sensor took it as it is tilting to the right or if I tilt it to the right it took it if I am tilting up, i'm running all stock except for the recovery.
So i recently got a poco x3 nfc, and its good except it has an issue with registering inputs on the screen. It mostly happens when i press 3-4 or more fingers on the screen, which i always do when i play the games i bought this phone for in the first place. It will just ignore the inputs when i firmly tap on the screen with 3 or more fingers.
So if i go into developer options and turn on the show touch coordinates, it will show all of my inputs im doing on the screen fully accurately. The issue is that the game im playing isnt being told about these inputs at all and acting like they arent there. (not an issue with the game itself, this happens everywhere, even on the home screen.)
So the physical screen itself is fully fine but there is some kind of artificial limitation in the software or whatever.. maybe something along the lines of like limiting inputs when placed in a pocket or some kind of stupid other "accessibility" setting. and im wondering if i could fix it somehow, like flash a rom or change some setting or some screen repair app. Ive tried looking around the settings but was unable to find anything that would cause this. the "game turbo" thing had a "screen responsivity" option but sadly that changed absolutely nothing
here is a few demonstration videos: https://youtu.be/pJLiaXRxzWA (the display showing the inputs are happening but thing no work work)
https://youtu.be/I8RUbMgNnGM (press finger on screen, screen no do thing bla bla bla..)
and if anyone knows a better place to post this to get better answers please tell me
