I searched the forum and couldn't find HTC Desire XC thread.
I heard HTC Desire XC only released in China, India, and Indonesia.

cwm(eng), has a little problem with the screen
recovery(chinese), perfect on screen
found the root
no reply? i guess i'm the only one using this phone then
My friends desire XC (T329D) cant be rooted by that,so i install this custom rom : -removed- using this recovery : -removed-
and it works
how i install it :
- Unlock bootloader via HTC dev
- Flash recovery
- BACKUP YOUR ROM FIRST (important)
- wipe data
- Flash rom
- Flash gapps (search for cm10 gapps)
- Flash boot.img inside rom zip via fastboot

oh,don't forget only install this rom if you are already in 4.1.1,if you are in 4.0.4 then update your stock rom first

yep,my friend using 4.1 desire XC from indonesia,and the root tools not working ._. yep,it's an cwm rom,but before flashing i think you must backup your rom cz there is no rom for XC in another country except china.. my friend already moved to other town so i can't post any SS XD but basicaly the rom is just stock rooted rom without any mod

CDMA no signal bar...
GSM fine n on signal bar showing "2" (normal)
when navbar/notification scrolled down, this say "UIM/SIM card Locked"
what should i do?

mm, when i try that rom on my friend desire XC there is no prob at all, and when we restore the rom via cwm there is also no sim locked problem ._. did you backup your stock rom via cwm before? if you have backup of your original rom you could try restore it. also try to wipe data and cache of your phone

Guys I'm still on stock rom, it's only rooted but stock recovery and locked bootloader and I'm sick of it.
Now I want to unlock the bootloader, install a custom recovery and flash a good rom.
I tried to collect infos but it's hard on a forum with 4 devices.
Would you please point me where it's explained how to unlock bootloader and to the adviced rom?
What would you suggest, a "stock" 4.1.2 one or a cm11? Are the latter reliable?

go to this link and unlock the BL :- unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com and use flashtool...
use Alienrom for great battery life and performance or seraphic rom for the latest ui
unfortunately cm11 camera wont work + cant play any videos,

From here you have "Q3: How do I unlock the bootloader?" you have link at the end its preti goooood explined,
and you have "Q5: What is the best ROM or kernel?" (it is against the rules) you'll have to try it on your own

If i was you i prefer use stock rom (4.1.2)
You can flash vengance kernel and get some OC :laugh:
And there is a lot mod for the stock rom, like the lockscreen, status bar, etc

Seraphic Rom Its The BEST rom for locked/unlocked bootloader its very smooth, fast, and looks like honami framework with new themes. The alienrom v6 its very good too or doomsday rom

Wich fw did you have?
This is ONLY for the new 4.4.4 fw.
This Mod will only deodex the stock odex Firmware.
I flashed the 108 RU via flashtool. Root with newroot. Then flashed your MOD...

I have checked this fw version and have flashed this Mod and did not have any bugs.Now i'am on the generic de fw.
The best is,flash a other Version and than my Mod.
Root and Recovery can you take what you want.
That is not relevant wich you used.
Fact is.. You must have Root and a Recovery for Flash.
1. Flash via Flashtool a other ftf
2. Root your Device
3. Flash the Recovery
4. Flash my Deodexed Mod

You dont need a open BL.
Only,for a custom Kernel you need a open BL.

I share a Tutorial for this, tonight.
Wil using this method to deodex allow the 4k and 120fps mod to work properly? I want to use that but without the hassle of unlocking the bootloader and whatnot.

I try for 6 time to download the rom, but always give me error, because the download always stop in the middle of downloading, and i need to insert a username or password to resume it, maybe the connection timeout since my net is so slow on that server, only 70kbp/s download rate :'(,
I hope someone can mirror it to other site like mega ,

You can root Lollipop only if you flash using custom recovery, then immediately flash super user.
So far no other way to get root for this phone running Lollipop

U can jump to 6.6.10 ,but u need to flash the big files,bot incremental
And wipe data

Download miui (version which u want ) .zip
Then go to in ur recovery ( custum recovery like twrp,cwm)
And wipe data,cache,dalvik cache, and imp is system
Clear all 4 things then flash .zip file which one u downloaded.
When it done . Reboot in system .

Yep that is right,if u flash via twrp u can got error
But the patching firmware 100% succes
So u can flash miui 6.6.10 then flash any custom rom

Yes u get error but try again flashing with twrp .
U get successfully flashed . Ur rom in 2nd or 3rd try ..
I also faced that error shows ( update binary cannot find) something like that ..
But u try again flashing the same zip it will be installed ...
If not then flash stock recovery n flash ur rom . But change its name Into (update.zip) thats all .have fun mate

Change the name of rom first . Rename it like (update .zip)
Then try to flash with stock recovery
But wipe data n n cache first

But I Fixed All That Bugs In This Recovery ^^

*Slow To Open
*Note!!!! : After U Enter Recovery ur Phone Will Show Black Screen
So Just Press Power Button 2 Or 3 Time To Turn On The Screen
In The Zip I Upload There Is Patched Boot.img To Make Internal Storage Always Available
And TWRP Recovery Image
Installation:
*Unzip The Downloaded File
*Open Odin
*Flash Boot.tar.md5 In BL And Recovery.tar.md5 In AP
*Enter Recovery And Go To Wipe>Format>Type "yes" Now Ur internal Storage Available To Use In TWRP
*For Root!! :After U Do That Steps Just Flash The Latest Version From Magisk.zip
*Reboot And Done ^^

id tried it ..i follow the steps flashing boot and recovery image via odin and flash magisk and supersu
on magisk 14.0 whenever i tried to flash it says error even the latest beta of magisk 14.5 it also says error
on supersu when i flash it ,it succed but i notice a bug and i consider it a major bug because when you unlock the phone with pattern its to laggy when unlocking ..let say when u unlock ur phone with pattern count 5-7 second after that it will unlock.
my phone is j7 core (J701F)

on magisk 14.0 whenever i tried to flash it says error even the latest beta of magisk 14.5 it also says error
on supersu when i flash it ,it succed but i notice a bug and i consider it a major bug because when you unlock the phone with pattern its to laggy when unlocking ..let say when u unlock ur phone with pattern count 5-7 second after that it will unlock.
my phone is j7 core (J701F)

Hi i tried to root my device i end up almost bricking my phone and had to download something called combination file when i searched what i did wrong turns out i flashed a non J7 core rom to my j7 core !!! pathetic right i mean why i failed to see that J7 core is not part of it and now i am questioning every thing i did weather it is correct or not !!!
to be honest last device i rooted was Galaxy S3 and back then compared to this the whole process was so easy so can someone via msgs break it to me in an easy steps
i mean a youtube video would be so helpful
