Advice on a fast and reliable Rom for Xperia J? - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Guys I'm still on stock rom, it's only rooted but stock recovery and locked bootloader and I'm sick of it.
Now I want to unlock the bootloader, install a custom recovery and flash a good rom.
I tried to collect infos but it's hard on a forum with 4 devices.
Would you please point me where it's explained how to unlock bootloader and to the adviced rom?
What would you suggest, a "stock" 4.1.2 one or a cm11? Are the latter reliable?

go to this link and unlock the BL :- unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com and use flashtool...
use Alienrom for great battery life and performance or seraphic rom for the latest ui
unfortunately cm11 camera wont work + cant play any videos,

From here you have "Q3: How do I unlock the bootloader?" you have link at the end its preti goooood explined,
and you have "Q5: What is the best ROM or kernel?" (it is against the rules) you'll have to try it on your own

Ok, thanks. Another thing not clear to me is if exists a permanent recovery for jb and .31 firmware. I've only found a temporary one...

If i was you i prefer use stock rom (4.1.2)
You can flash vengance kernel and get some OC
And there is a lot mod for the stock rom, like the lockscreen, status bar, etc

Thanks, but what about permanent recovery? Does it exist?

I think vengance kernel has a permanent recovery, just try it.

I'M SOOO damn happy ,finally having the deodexed version of this rom. He hero safariking deserves thanks. Here u go
whats the advantage of having deodex rom??
will that work on non nfc version
hi,
can't download from MEGA... Can someone upload on another mirror ?...
Thanks.
Hi safariking,
please can you explain the difference between ODEX and DEODEX ROM? As far as I can see, DEODEX is little bit faster, but uses more RAM (which we don't have much on SGS2+). But, what exactly are benefits from one or another ROM?
One more thing: can someone cook liteROM for SGS2+ without all those Google and Samsung apps? They are quite heavy...
Thanks.
Done. Allright it works, but not rooted ???
there are no different in performance between deodexed/odexed,for deodexed,it's allow you to mod or theme it.

[Q] Stuck after Sony Logo

I just rooted my Xperia L using this method http://www.waledacdroid.com/2014/01/how-to-root-sony-xperia-l-c2104-c2105_16.html.
After the process I downloaded Root checker to verify my root access. It says it has root access already. So I assumed that my unit is already rooted. Next thing I did was I downloaded DextroDroid v3 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/development/rom-dextrodroid-v2-t2598697) and follow the steps to install it.
I followed the procedure properly but I was stuck at after Sony logo and I can't pass through it. Please help.

but if you install cm11 you doesn't need to root again, cause it's already rooted

Yes, but if the rom has a custom kernel you should delete it from the zip file, and just flash the stock kernel.
BUT! If the rom is CM based or CM. There's no luck for you to install the rom. Cause it needs to be unlocked.

What file? You mean custom roms?
If you want a latest UI z/z1, go for
Seraphic
*Inside the zip file, just delete the intuisy kernel.*
And if you want a fast performance. Use
AlienRom
Other rom you can use:
This rom is just like seraphic. I just dont know their differences.
Doomsday
Thats me again,
ok I do have an unlockable Bootloader on my Xperia J
I did install superuser

New bootloader for open devices (now with real recovery)

Hi all,
I have a great news
http://developer.sonymobile.com/201...for-a-range-of-unlocked-xperia-devices-video/
Bootloader is compatible with open devices roms and also enables real recovery (Volume Down + Power)
to flash recovery partition on device you have to
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Happy Cooking
J
PS.
in case latest software does not appear just press "all Services"
flash latest software available and on top new loader
Just tested, and it works good.
Not having separated recovery is probably the thing that bothered me most in Sony development.
And can confirm PM on 3.10 is working now.
Thanks jerpelea!

Bootloader version you can see in EMMA after you plug in the phone, about certain versions, I don't know.

I managed to flash New bootloader and then "recovery.img" on it!
So is that recovery stays there no matter what firmware/kernel i put on the phone?

Why "CM Recovery"?
CWM is all the time being the Best and popular recovery and have a backup option!
Maybe wrong thread to ask such questions?

It is a wrong thread but screw it.
Because I build CM ROMs and CM recovery is default there.
I do agree that they've dropped CWM way too early, but I think it's not compatible with 5.0 zip layout, so it's either this or TWRP (which is kind of an OmniROM thing).

* # * # 7378423 # * # * the service menu will open, click Service info> Configuration> Rooting status, appear no, then you can not do anything!
If you can not unlock the bootloader, you will not be able to install the cwm and even if in the future someone can do cwm run in lock bootloader you will not be able to install another rom like CyanogenMod 12.1 because it is always necessary that original bootloader is replaced by the CyanogenMod 12.1!
So if you can not unlock bootloader can not do anything!

1st you have to wait for someone to port the cwm lock bootloaders.
You just can flash custom rom "Based On Stock firmware" BUT with the ORIGINAL kernel without modifications.
For example, you have to "D2203" this "custom ROM" and D2202 have this.
NONE of these two roms works in your case!
