[Q] backing up apps before changing ROM

Hi,
I am currently trying on new ROMs (ICS for Nexus S i9020t).
I was wondering if I can back up my apps before trying new ROMs and restore them on the newly installed ROMs.
Can this be done? I just want to backup the apps, like gmail,clock settings, gentle alarm (w/settings) etc.

Yes you can.
Use Titanium Backup to do this.

Replace Odex with De-odex?

Im still learning here so lets keep the flaming to first degree. Is it possible to take the de-odexed apk's from one ROM's system/app folder and replace the odexed apk's with them?
I have been using NexusBeam for some time now and I love it. Works great. However, there are some custom themes/apps that wont work, apparently, because it is still an odex ROM. I know I can say, replace the MMS app that is odex with the same app that is de-odex as long as I change the permissions. So can I do it with all the systems apps?
Or would I have to go in and change the permissions for each one after it boots up? I dare say, im confused?

Titanium pro has two functions. Here's the description from changelog
Version 4.6.4 ============= - [PRO] Added the ability to integrate Dalvik cache system elements into ROM (as odex files) which can save a lot of internal data storage space.
Version 4.6.5 ============= - Added the ability to undo the Dalvik cache integration, to free up ROM space.
The undo feature seems to unodex the whole /system/app
If that's not the case ignore me xD

Stock Camera and Gallery for 4.1.1 SCH-I535

I think i made a huge mistake I tried to flash Galaxy note 2 camera and gallery and it crashed my camera and gallery app. Does anyone have a flashable (zip) file of stock jelly bean 4.1.1 Camera and Gallery so I can reinstall my file. Thank you in advance!!!!
Im running Stock rooted Jelly Bean (Verizon Sch-I535)

pull them from the rom.zip you had installed and push them back to system/app. make sure permissions are set like the rest of the app files and you will be good to go. they are calley SamsungCamera.apk and SecGallery2.apk.

[Q] Auto SMS backup Android...

HI all..
Quick question...
Is there An auto SMS backup function build into Android Jelly Bean ( I am running Cyanogenmod on one XL).....
I know you can do it using App from the market store But I want to keep minimal App on my phone...
There is a function in android which Backup and Restore,
But i am not sure if that Backups SMS or NOT...

Titanium Backup never working

Hi, I'm running jelly fire bean ROM which is excellent but I want to change ROM but I have to do a titanium backup. Every time it randomly crashes for no reason and won't work. Any suggestions on how to fox this?
