Error downloading Tapatalk - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I can't download tapatalk from the play store. I keep getting error 941. I've even tried sending it to my phone from the play store website, same thing happens. I even downloaded an older version and tried updating it, same thing happens.
Has this happened to anyone else before with this or any other app?
I've tried clearing cache and data from market and immediately downloading again, but no luck.
Could someone post the apk please?

Anyone?

[PROBLEM] Cannot download certain apps from play store

Alright, I searched around for the past hour but I couldnt find an answer, so here goes!!
I have a Nexus 5 that I rooted and installed TWRP just this afternoon. When I tried updating SuperSU and hangouts and installing ES File Explorer the play store was stuck on the "Downloading" message and never downloaded the file. But updates of all other apps worked fine. I am on WiFi. I even tried installing other apps and they work fine.
Here is everything I've tried: Resetting apps preferences, removing and adding my google account, rebooting the phone, clearing play store cache.
Then for one last thing, I tried downloading the apps over 3G and hurrah they download fine!
So I'm guessing the issue is with my WiFi configuration, but my Mac works fine on the same WiFi connection, so please help me out here in identifying the problem!
TIA
Have same issues on gt9300, guess this is google's issue
I thought it was something wrong with my phone, glad to know it isn't. But still weird :|
Now i'm getting error 495 -_-

[Q] Play Store crashes when updating multiple apps

Hi, I have a Nexus 5, completely stock 4.4.2, never tampered
Whenever there are multiple updates in the Play Store and I press "Update", the first app updates, then the second one starts downloading,
but the download hangs at some point, then after a few seconds the entire Play Store app closes without any message.
After that I can open the Play Store again and try to update the apps, but they only update one at a time, because on the second update it always crashes.
All the Google apps are at the latest versions, Play Store has version 4.6.17. This is happening for a while now, but I can't pinpoint it to a certain version of the Play Store app, but in the past I did not have this problem.
I've tried restarting the device, clearing data and cache for the Play Store app, clearing the cached data for the entire system, even switching the runtime (btw the problem is happening on both Dalvik and ART), but nothing helped. I also have enough Available space: 4 GB as reported in Settings/Storage.
On my wife's Nexus 4, also completely stock and with updated Google apps, the problem it's not happening, so it's not something in my environment.
Did anyone else have this problem? I searched the forums but found nothing relevant.
Any advice?
Thank you.
Hello,
Clear Playstore's app data and cache and reconnect your google account as see whether the problem persists?
Already did that, I said in my post, did not help.
Can anyone provide any advice? Thanks.

Hi
I have the exact same problem on my galaxy note 3 so nothing to add except that I tried a little trick that allows it to finish the updates without having to restart the store. I close it immediately after the batch download starts and then it continues updating in the background. it works most of the times but not always. I really wish someone had a solution to this problem.

Did you by any chance ever went into the recovery and tried clearing the cache from there?

Yes, I cleared cache and Dalvik from custom recovery. I did a lot of searching on google and XDA and I followed all the guides, including uninstalling play store updates, clear data and cache from apps manager for play store and also Google services framework and download manager but no improvement
Im in the same boat as you on this one.

Are you rooted? What custom recovery are you using? I myself am all stock, never rooted or anything.
And how long does it take to clear the cache from recovery? On my Nexus 5 with stock recovery it takes very long, around 5 or 10 minutes the first time I do it in succession, but it finishes succesfully. If I repeat the clearing of cache without rebooting then it takes a few seconds, like normal.
I read somewhere that it might be an issue with errors on the cache partition and that reformatting this partition might solve it, but I cannot do it from the stock recovery. Maybe if you have the option of reformatting the /cache partition in your custom recovery you should try it.
Another thing that you can do is try to catch the errors with logcat, if you have root you can use an app, I used adb to save a logcat and found some error messages related to the installing of apps but could not find how to solve them. I will post the logcat later.
If you can get a logcat maybe you can post it and we will compare the errors.

Yes I am rooted using CWM Based Recovery 6.0.4.7 with SuperSU 1.94 and BusyBox 1.22.1-Stericson on stock Samsung firmware Android 4.4.2 NB4 unbranded
clearing the cache from CWM recovery only takes a few seconds in my case. I did not try reformatting or anything else because I don't want to risk bricking it.
I will post a logcat as soon as I know how to do it.
Yup to both. Wipe was very fast... Almost too fast in my opinion

I'm also experiencing this behavior as well.

I have the same issue. Stock rooted...
I don't have a nexus but I was using a google edition ported ROM for my HTC One and was having the same issue drive me nuts. I flashed the stock sense ROM back and the store works fine now. It seems like this problem is google edition devices/OS. I never found a fix though, except to enable automatic updating so it happens in the background. That worked for me
indeed the updates work fine in the background but I would really like to know what causes this issue
Those having this problem can you guys make sure you have the latest Google Play build? Latest is 4.8.20. Go to your play store, go to play store settings and at the bottom it should say 4.8.20. If your version is earlier than that, tap the build version and it should say there's a newer version and that it's installing. At that point, exit from the play store app, and give it a minute or two. Enter back into the play store app, and you repeat the steps to see that you have upgraded your play store build.

Yes, the Play Store app is updated to the latest version. Now I already got the 4.4.3 update, but the issue is still appearing, but not everytime. I think it depends on the sizes of the updating apps, it might be something related to the cache partition. Can you guys try and clear the cache from the recovery and see how much it lasts? For me it lasts more than 5 minutes and it doesn't seem normal.

I had the same issue on my S4. After the play store closed about 5 times today when updating apps I decided to Google it. I found someone with a similar issue, and their fix was to enable the Download Manager app, that had somehow been disabled. Mine was already enabled, but I cleared the cache from that app, and then I was able to update my remaining 5 or so apps with no crashes.
I'm not sure how permanent of a fix it is, but it's working so far. Don't know if I'll have to clear it again later or not.

[HELP] Error RPC:S-3

Hi there;
I reinstall the stock rom on my nexus 5. At the beginning all my apps get well installed. But I see that Zooper Pro Widget didn't install, I try to install it manually but I receive the message error RPC:S-3...
I found a thread on XDA a tried everything were mentioned there but nothing works .
The problem seems to be with Zooper cause I can install other application without problems.
Any idea ?
Did you install the latest stock image, 4.4.3? Maybe zopper isn't compatible with it yet

Got the same issue at the moment with an app (Scrum Poker).
I tried clearing stuff (google play and google play services - didn't touch the play framework data yet) but to no avail. The app is constantly nagging me about updates and I will probably end up uninstalling it.

I hope you will have the same luck I have. I had to wait just one day and everyhing seems to be good now.
It seems that's a a random issue. I was updating my apps when I only had this error with CM Browser.
This is happening to me too, I thought that it's because I rooted with towelroot.
I had to download the apk using apk downloader chrome extension and sideload it.
I could not update using play store. I uninstalled it tried to install it fresh but I still got the error. After I sideloaded it, I uninstalled it and tried to install it directly from Google play and it worked!
Edit: the apps that I could not update were gtasks and badland.

Did the same, and now I don't get the nag about the update. Guess there was something odd, since I had to "force" to download the latest, so maybe the error is actually on google's side and I have been resetting and reconfiguring stuff like a mad man for nothing
Exactly.I cleared data for Google play and Google play services, uninstalled updates for Google play, I even cleared data for Google framework but nothing helped. It could be a Google issue.

More tests:
I can install a new app or uninstall an app and then reinstall it without a problem.
It seems that only apps that have updates generate this error.
*EDIT* There's a new update for rayman fiesta run and the update worked so the problem could be fixed already
*EDIT2* I uninstalled Badland and it still gives the error when I try to install it fresh.

I'm assuming this is perhaps an issue on Google's end somehow. I've never had this error, as I've always been stock/rooted. However, I am now getting this error when trying to update the ESPN Sportscenter app. I figure I'll just wait to see if it resolves itself.

+1
Yesterday I was finally able to install CM Browser. I didn't do anything to fix it.
In my case force downloading the latest version from play store (using the chrome extension on my desktop) did the trick. It seems that the version that google was serving me by default was 2.3 though it was notifying me that it had an update ready.
Guess it's some sort of caching issue, but for me it was annoying (was so close to reset the phone).

Just an update from my post above. I was getting the error all day yesterday trying to update the Sportscenter app. This morning, it updated fine. I didn't do anything at all. I guess a little patience does go a long way.

[Completed] Cannot update Google Play Services: Unknown error code: -501

I'm not sure if this is a Oneplus One problem or just an android problem in general but I'm having absolutely no luck anywhere and I've tried everything short of a reset so I hope this is ok to post here.
I recently updated to CM12S. I was trying someone's advice of wiping Google Play Services data and re-updating in order to fix a battery bug, but after I reset the data, I get error code -501 in the Play Store when I try to update the app. I've already tried restarting phone, and wiping cache from a bunch of services. I've reinstalled the Play Store, and rebooted multiple times as well.
I tried to install via apk, but it fails and says "App not installed".
Does anyone know what else I could try? Thanks
Hi
There is only one thread helpful for "error 501" and it's for HTC M7 ....You can try the method he used ...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one/help/play-store-installation-error-501-t3015878
Else you can try posting this issue in One Plus One Q/A forums (after signing up on xda)
