Integrating Google Contact + Google+ within Hangouts - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So im wondering if anyone knows how to properly setup the integration of a Google contact + Google+ within hangouts. For example, if you have a google contact with a phone number called Brooke in your phone. You then are friends with her on Google+. What is the proper way to get everything merged into one contact so it works properly with Hangouts and SMS integration within hangouts?
So far ive done the following.
Brooke is saved as a Google contact with a phone number. Ive also added her on Google+, she has the same name as the contact. Thinking hangouts\android would automatically do the rest to combine both contacts into one was too much to ask. So i then added Brookes google+ @gmail address to the Brooke google contact, doing this seemed to let android know that they are one of the same people made hangouts then show the option to send a message via SMS for Brooke or via Hangouts in the drop down list.
However, i don't understand why it seems to separate the hangouts and sms threads showing multiple names of Brooke in the conversation list. See screen shot below. It doesnt seem to do this for everyone. So i dont know if its a bug, or depends on how you go about trying to integrate a Google contact with a Google+ account. Any insight would be great.
Is there a correct way to get a google contact with a number and a google+ contact merged together without it seeming to be a total mess?

Google Voice on HD2 (web based or app)

Has anyone used the web app for Google Voice on an HD2.
That seems to be the only viable alternative for Windows Mobile since Google's GV app is primarily for Android.
Any updates on this?
I need to know this too.. Im having a hard time deciding if I should get the Nexus One or the HTC HD2. One of the pros of having an android device is my google voice account which I dont wanna give up (I currently have a G1). I'm leaning more towards the HD2 at this point because of all the issues/reports with the N1, and if there is an app for google voice on WM it will definitely be a plus!
You can use this to call

iDIALER (see the bottom part of the page)
http://supware.net/iDialer/
It acts as a dialer to call through your google voice account. Just dial the number (you'll have to log in the very first time you make a call) and it will automatically make the call. There will not be any prompts.
TO text you can actually save that random number that you receive when someone texts you to your google voice number. Save it as a second phone number to that contact and when ever you text that person use that random google number and it will always text that particular person and show your google voice phone number on their phone.
Only thing is that you can't play back voicemail... youll have to go to the website and download it to your phone. Or you can also do the transcription but thats not always perfect.
There you go... You get the perks of google voice.

[Q] Missing acounts iconf from linked contacts

Hello,
Recently, I noticed that in Contacts I don't see anymore the little icons (Google, Facebook or LinkedIn) in the right side of the contact name for linked contacts.
In my S4, for every contact that is linked with a contact from another account (Google, Facebook or LinkedIn) I have this icons in Contacts.
Is this only in my phone or do you have the same?
PS. I have a N915F with NK5 deodexed ROM.
Thank you.

I have the same thing. Inside the contact I have the small icons, but when showing all contacts, there are no icons. This is not normal.
The linked contacts should display their own icons when displaying all contacts. On all other deviced that I own until now I had the icons displayed when listing all contacts. Let's hope that there will be a fix for this.
Best regards.
It may not be how previous devices have handled contacts, but it also may be completely normal for this device.
Me personally I think it looks better, less cluttered. But to each their own.

[APP][Material Design] Relish, discover new places to eat and invite your friends!

What's up guys, we're very excited to launch our Android app, Relish! It's a social dining app that seeks to make getting your friends or coworkers together for lunch or dinner dead simple.
It's completely platform agnostic. Your friends/coworkers don't need the app, have to care about the app, or even have an Android device to let you know if they're down. You simply create an invite, select from your phone contacts, email contacts, or twitter followers and Relish takes care of the rest in the background, super fast.
Your friends respond the exact same way they were invited. You get all of the RSVPs right in the app.
SMS & Email
Here's what text and email invites would look like to your friends

They can simply text back YES or NO, or alternatively click Accept or No thanks in the email and you will be notified within the app.
Twitter
You can also invite your friends on Twitter the same way. They'll receive an invite tweet message from @relishInvites, and can favorite the tweet if they're down, or just ignore it if they're not. All tweets are deleted after 24 hours. Just like text & email you'll get a notification in the app that "Jane Doe has responded to your invite!"
You can also send cash to your friends right in the app, for those lunch outings where your bill comes and someone is short on cash but has a card available. We've integrated with Venmo directly to allow you to split your bill and send some money to your friends right at the table.
The social dining space is a bit of a graveyard, and we think Relish has a lot of potential to be a strong player in the space. We eventually want to integrate reservations via Opentable or Yelp to allow you to book your reservation after everyone has responded to your invite

Contacts' Photo Synced with WhatsApp

Let's face it, we all have contacts that nobody seems to care to stick your friend's picture on. Then, what's the point of having these (reserved empty space for profile photo)?
It's definitely not cool to have a list of Alphabets.

Now, the solution to this is to rip their photos from......where? Of course, it has to be the most active users messenger app - WhatsApp. Truth to be told, it is and statistics don't lie (ehhh).
Well, the biggest issue with WhatsApp is it's tremendously "secured" that it offers ZERO API to the public. Hence, it was quite tricky and difficult to figure out a solution to rip the photos from the app.
Although, I'd manage to be able to collect the photos from the platform automatically, it definitely wasn't the best experience out there. Technically none, until someone else decides to do something about it, which I hope the company will.
Let's take a quick glance at the review and description of the current apps that offers "Contact photo sync" features.
"* WhatsApp (semi-automatically: contact pictures have to be downloaded in WhatsApp manually, the rest is done by the app)"

That suck. Big time.
I know it may not be a huge deal to some of you, but every time I look at my dialer I knew something has to done.

Anyway, I need a few of community members to test out the extension (Chrome only) that I've created before it's ever going to be released.
You will need to have a computer, a cable, Chrome browser and to install an extra app that aid the process to sync the photo to the contact.
Also, to throw in an extra question, can root technique solves the problem by intruding WhatsApp, the app itself? Will there be a miracle?
