Hello everyone, first post here at XDA. Finally got a new phone today, the Lenovo K900.
It's well known for it's cluttered and buggy UI, and I'd love to see those x86 cyanogenmod ROMs roll in soon.
Anyway, the main problem here is, downloads absolutely do not work on the phone. Nor do they work while downloading from a browser (tried multiple, including chrome and stock) and nor do they work from the Play Store. I looked around and found a few fixes, such as clearing the data and cache for the Play Store, Download Manager, Google Services Framework and then force closing them. None of these seem to work. I've not been able to download at all. I've tried factory resetting a couple times as well. The phone came with an older version of it's stock ROM, and downloads didn't work it either. I updated it OTA, issue persists. I did also try installing a newer version of Play Store, but then shifted attention to the download manager since browser downloads weren't working either.
I've only been trying these over 3G, and not wifi. I don't have access to wifi at the moment, but will try to use wifi in a couple hours and see if anything changes. In the meantime, any ideas?
EDIT: It worked fine on wifi, chrome gave me a proxy server error once. Seemed like proxy settings were automatically added for some reason. Removing them fixed the issue.

Hi guys,
i'm currently running Prime 1.9 but this issue is not only happening on that version.
From the market, I can't download any apps or update them, but if I do a restore it will download perfectly. Also, i'm always getting a unable to connect to server in youtube apps.
I think it's my router because everything is running fine when I do a thetering from my cellphone.
But, i'm still not getting this, I did a DMZ on my IP address and it didn't change anything.
I have no idea what to do, it just start bugging like that three days ago.
Also, Gtalk is running #1.
Ideas will be appreciate.
Thanks
Hey guys,
I've encountered the strangest problem that it actually took me a while to figure whats wrong.
I was simply opening the youtube app to watch a video but it didn't connect, so I tried to open youtube through opera and dolphin but it didn't connect.
I instantly thought the internet is down, however it opened facebook and other non google pages in an instance.
I thought I need to update to youtube app, since i've been putting it off for the numerious negative comments, and I was shocked to find i can't even connect to the market. (Or the market website for that matter) (applanet is working fine tho)
I seems that the phone is blocking google services and websites (which is hard to believe but i don't have a better explanation.)
Is there any thing i can do to fix this?!
I'm running rooted stock froyo (JPKC2) (the one that came with the phone, never flashed it before, rooted with super one click)
PS: this just happened overnight, i don't recall installing anything new for days and youtube and the market were working fine.

well, they are working fine from my computer and my dad's HTC Incredible S....
Are you on 3G/2G or wifi? You can try a factory reset to see if that solves your problem. Keep a backup if you need your data.
Try to change DNS

Hi all,
I have a TMOUS Sensation 4G. I was on stock rom then I switched to OrDroid 9.0, but I'm experiencing the same problems.
1) Whenever I try to "update all" in Google Play under my apps, the first app will download, but the subsequent ones won't. It will just keep on showing "downloading" but doesn't actually download. Canceling the current download sometimes works; the next download would sometimes start. This problem seems to be worse on Wifi, but it happens sometimes with 4G as well.
I tried clearing the app data and cache for Google Play but that didn't seem to help.
2) When I'm on Wifi (especially when I'm at work), the system time just slows; sometimes it can be 6-10 minutes behind the actual time. My setting is always on auto-update time. Anyone know why this happens?
Thanks!
Delete play store, clear cache reboot download again and re try, I never use auto update as I'm the one who decides when and where also if I'm going to update
Changes in permissions I dislike and updates that there are many complaints about don't get in
so as you can see I always allow others to check the updates work for me (like you )
Tbo I've no idea on the wifi time issue, try asetting the time correctly and drop the auto update and see
UPdate - there is a differnt post about the time issue and the reply indicates that it may have something to do with overclocking - if you do that so read the copy paste below it may help
It happened to me when I was using the badass governor, even though I was connected to cell.
Switching to ondemand did the trick for me
Thanks for the reply, johnerz. However, I do not have anything on auto-update. I'll try deleting the Play store and see what happens I guess ... just thought it was weird that the same problem persists even on different roms.
As for the time issue, I'm using ondemand as well so I guess my issue is different?
Hello everyone, i got my xperia C not too long ago and i updated it to the latest available software right after i got it (16.0.B.2.16 is my current build number)
The phone is working just fine except for one issue that is google chrome, 1st lemme put this clear while using WIFI this issue does not exist and it works just fine, anyway Chrome on mobile network connection however is a different story, it doesnt work properly, for example whenever i try to go to any website it loads for a long time and i end up getting a server not available message or unable to load or whatever, and i know for a fact that it has nothing to do with my mobile connection as other apps work just fine including Opera browser which opens whichever website i want right away, however some of the apps that are influenced by google chrome ( or at least i think so coz they r mostly affected by the same issue on mobile network ) like youtube or playstore and sometimes even facebook app ( not the messenger app that one works just fine ) and its been nagging me badly
I understand that simply by using opera my browsing issue is solved but again like i said i believe that some apps are influenced by chrome in one way or another or they r just simply affected by the same issue ( including skype which is extremely unstable like chrome on cell connection but works just fine on WIFI) so i cant just let that issue be as i need chrome to be working properly
Also note that whenever i open a hotspot for someone their chrome browser and all other apps work just fine so iam sure that my issue has nothing to do with mobile coverage or internet configuration settings, another thing, my brother has same xperia C unit and his browsing is just fine however he hasnt updated to the latest firmware ( i dont know whether that issue existed before the update or not as i updated the phone right after i got it before i could put anything to test)
so here are some things that i tried to fix this:
restarting phone, didn't work
factory reset, didn't work
updating chrome, didn't work, removing the update didn't work
uninstalling opera, didnt work
basically nothing works and i really need to get chrome working properly, thanks for reading and i hope anyone can help me fix it as its really bothering me.
Try disabling auto sync and/or removing your Google account from Chrome [don't log in during initial setup].
Hello,
This phone has stock KK but the problem also happens with stock JB and always starts after application update.
Problem: Google Search box only works if factory app is running. Once you update to latest version on Play store (4.4.11.16), search stops to work. If choose to install 4.3.x version error remains- Version 4.2 and lower works fine.
What is not working?
You search for something and nothing is search and most of the time you can read: no Internet connection. However you are connected to some wifi spot and Internet is working fine.
Besides. Chrome, Firefox, etc, search also works. This is only related with Google search app.
I have test to uninstall and install, to clear cache. Nothing fixed it.
The only fix is to go back to factory version or install 4.2 or lower
But the factory/stock search is now almost two years old and I want to be able to update.
Any ideas?
