Hello to all,
i've upgraded to 4.4.1 manually this Friday.
This morning, i just made a reboot and i've lost all my shortcuts from the "desktop".
I've reboot 2-3 times but still nothing.
Strange issues no ?
How to backup those icons anyway ?
Thank for your help.

Ok, so earlier i downloaded cm 10 to put on my phone. I then created nandroid backup through clockwork. Then i unlocked boot loader with the ez unlock app. I restored my original android backup to see it worked, but now my notification bar is completely non existent. I can't pull down, it doesn't show anything on the where time, wifi ect. would normally be. it just shows all the I full screen like it's not even there. Can someone help! ?
also, everything else works just as it would normally. I tried battery pull and hard reset.
I'm not on CM 10 now, but you probably have status bar hidden in settings...look in your system settings menu for any status bar tweaks first. If no luck, then let me know.

Hello there. I'm a noob and now I'm stuck in the web of the consequences of my sudden stupidity.I have been trying to update my AT&T HTC One X for the last 4 days. I had already unlocked the bootloader and installed the Supersu through the TWRP. but when I was trying to install the rom it wrote failed and I had two variants. Go back or press reboot. So I touched the reboot button and discovered that I had to install all the stuff I once had again, I noticed that I wasn't asked to connect to a wifi. so I carried on after checkin once again. Then I opened my settings through the status bar and it was written "Error" under the Wifi switch and I couldn't use any downloaded applications, they turned up to be not responding as soon as I opened them. I booted into recovery mode once more and tried to restore my backup through the TWRP.But it didn't show any files.. PLEASE help!
Greetings XDA!!
PROBLEM:
I recently got a brand new Nexus 6 running stock ROM, Android 5.0.1. I rooted my phone a while ago, and I installed this application called SoftKeyZ. This application allows you to change the soft key icons on a device that supports on screen soft keys (the home button, the back button, and the recent apps button). None of the custom soft keys worked for my Nexus 6 so I selected a button titles "Backup". That was supposed to restore all the normal soft key files on my phone so they were normal. That did NOT work. The phone is now completely unusable! The notification drawer has disappeared along with all three soft keys!!! So I have no acccess to notifications, or any of the on screen buttons.
WHAT I TRIED:
I tried booting into safe mode, and uninstalling the SoftKeyZ application. Note: the soft keys and the notification bar were even nonexistent while in safe mode. So, I then reluctantly attempted to fix the problem by factory reseting my device. THIS DIDN'T WORK EITHER!! So now I have a phone that has no dada on it, it has no notification bar, has no soft keys, and IS COMPLETELY UNUSABLE!!!!!!!
MY THANKS:
Thank you for reading my post. I hope that you can help me fix my problem because I will be pretty screwed if I cant use my phone due to the fact that I use it to make personal calls, texts, and such. Thank you very much

Got the same problem!
And for some reason I can't find/replace the systemui.apk. Do I need the framework-res.apk as well?
Can't really flash the stock firmware either because I have no access to my Nexus
Help us please!

Download the stock ROM for your phone, then extract the system.img partition where your can find the systemui.apk and settings.apk. Sideload these files to your phone using a custom recovery or using ADB. Now boot up the phone and see if it works.
If that doesn't work, just flash the stock ROM again. No other go I guess
Hi everyone,
I apologize if there will be any language error but I'm Italian so I'll do my best
I recently rooted my Nexus 5, kept stock rom (Lollipop 5.1.1), installed CWM recovery and flashed custom kernel (ElementalX), evenrything worked fine for a few days with everything (recovery, kernel, xposed and root apps)
Today I found and tried to use "SoftKeyZ root" app to use custom softkeys, but after rebooting the device my status bar and navigation bar disappeared. I looked across the net for possible solutions but none worked, tired to restore last nandroid backup with CWM but the problem was still there, tried my last chanche which was to wipe chache/Dalvik/data from CWM but the two bars still aren't there.
Any ideas?
EDIT: I forgot to mention that the screen also doesn't lock (if i push the power button it goes black, if I push it again it shows the last screen) and there is no wallpaper, just black
Hi everyone!
I installed CM12 on my Nexus 5 two month ago and it works fine. But I have the problem that it doesn't react when I press the powerbutton to wake it up from deepsleep mode.
Then I could only reboot it.
I changed the "network type" in the settings to "3G" because my provider only supports it and I thought it could solve my problem.
But it also hangs up the phone anymore....
I adapted the settings of the phone in the following way:
- Installed "Apex Launcher" as the default one
- Installed Klear Kat CM12 as Theme
- Additional Apps are: Greenify and SD Maid
I just tried the following steps to fix the problem:
1 . Installed another Launcher instead of "Apex Launcher" ---> I had the problem anymore with the other Launcher
2. Installed Open Gapps "nano" instead of "micro" ---> it ran without any crashes of the phone for a period of time. But now I have the problem again....
3. I wiped "cache" and "dalvik cache" again in TWRP --> System was clean and ran for a while. But after a period of time the problam "came back"
I have no idea anymore. It's suspect that I only have the problem when I'm on a move.
When I'm at home in my Wifi I doesn't have any problems with the phone to wake it up from deepsleep.
Lastly I installed CM13 and had done an Fullwipe before... But I've the problem anymore ....
I've the feeling that the phone looses it's reception and then the Launcher hangs and can't get up of his own....
I hope someone of you could help me with my problem and give any good ideas !
Thanks alot, matze24

Hey!
Thanks for your fast reply. I found a solution for my problem. The phone hangs up every time because I installed "Greenify". Now I removed it and it works fine ...
