I got my phone from Amazon. After it started displaying random shutdowns, I decided to exchange it for another within the 30 days period. What did I get? A phone with an earlier built and original firmware. I think I just received a reconditioned one.

I would not put it past AT&T. I am pretty sure that in the fine print it says that if you opt to get a new/different phone within that 30 day period they can send you a reconditioned phone. It is the same way with insurance. Sometimes you get lucky and get a new one, but sometimes you get a "rebuilt" phone that is supposedly "just as good." It's the carrier's way of having more power over the consumer and keep their pockets full.

Within 30 days, AT&T would give a new phone. They do not give out a refurb if u r exchanging due to defective piece within 30 days.
Past 30 days, they would give a refurb. For this they would direct u to a warranty center or send by mail.
Edit: I am not sure how Amazon handles these things. Maybe u could to amazon guys or read the fine print on their exchange within 30 days terms.
If you still feel bad, cancel and return to them since u r within 30 days, and do a fresh transaction.
I took once from dell.com, and returned the phone within 30 days since I didn't like the piece. They didn't charge anything.
I can't speak for the current policy, but when I ordered mine a couple months ago, the Amazon rep I spoke with was clear in stating that they only had new units, so should an exchange be made, refurbished devices wouldn't be sent out.
This was late September, so whether or not Amazon now has refurbished units, I'm not sure.
Thanks for the replies. I can only assume that Amazon got truckloads of phones. The newer ones on top, the older ones on the bottom.
It seems that the boxes are not sealed, so that if new order comes in, they add the sim card and instructions. Then the box is sealed.
That is the only explanation that I would get for getting a replacement with 1008 built and jh6 firmware while the original new one was 1009 built and jh7. Thankfully, I knew how to use mini Kies to upgrade.
I ordered my OPO yesterday around 21 hours ago, and my order status still says processing.
How was your order process like, and do you guys know when it might ship?
My order took around 55 hours before it was shipped. I'm in Washington, but mine was shipped via USPS Priority (2-day) and I got it on time. Super straight forward for me.
It's normal for the status to say processing for a while, in some cases it actually stays that way until the device is delivered. My personal experience was that update ordered last Friday, the status remained as process until Monday or Tuesday, then it changed to complete. The device was actually delivered to Illinois on Wednesday. Now I'm waiting for it to be forwarded to me in Australia.

Got mine today. Order status said "processing" for about 5 days. Then it changed to completed and took about 2 days to get to me. I'm in Europe, express delivery. Was shipping was faster than advertised and the delivery guys (dhl) were fantastic. Got a text this morning saying the package was in transit and I should give then a call if I wasn't planning on being at the address I gave them. Did and they gladly went where I was at the time.
So all went well.
It has been atrocious...
I ordered my phone last Thursday 17th July with 'Express Delivery' and it was on 'processing' until the 23rd July. I still haven't received it yet even though DHL have had the delivery label since Friday 18th July and are waiting on instruction from OnePlus to collect the item for delivery to me. I'm not getting any response from them via their ticket system so I'm waiting until Monday and if it's not here by then I'll be filing a complaint via PayPal for my money back.
The kicker is I've heard of people ordering on Sunday 20th July and getting their phones on the 22nd with 'Normal Delivery'
An absolute farce
Ordered two weeks ago on a Friday. Finished processing on a Monday night, arrived Wednesday morning. From California to new York

Mine has been processing for 45 hours now. I don't think I'll be receiving the device for a while...
OK, so my order changed to ship. It was shipped yesterday night with priority mail. From California to Atlanta. It should get here on Saturday.

It was very quick for me, I ordered on the 15th of July, got the email that it has been shipped on the 17th and actually got the phone the very next day, a day earlier than the expected delivery date on the USPS website.

They've just (finally) replied to my email and are looking into what's taking so long...I won't hold my breath
i have ordered mine on 19.07., then i had 2 days pending shipment on order
on monday 21.07. when i woke up order said processing
yesterday around 19:15 CET i got mail that my order was shipped, and got tracking number to see where my mail is
so that leaves in total 6 days until shipment, 2 days pending, 4 days processing, and ETA for delivery is 29.07. in address i want
so just be patient, you will get your device, and also, some users reported that they got their device while order was still in processing
if you want answer about your order, submit a ticket and ask what is the sitaution with your order, is it shipped, or still in processing

The issue I have is that DHL are waiting on OnePlus to tell them to deliver it. They've had the initial order submission since last Friday but won't send it until told to. And this is 'Express Delivery' as well...
Apparently my order is being 'expedited' but they don't know how long it'll take so can't give me a delivery date yet
Hope this doesn't come off too much as trolling, but the contrast between what I'm reading here, and my own experience ordering domestically (in China), is comical.
I had the phone in my hands less than 24 hours (22 maybe?) after clicking "buy" on their website.
No invites. Although they do limit buying to Tuesday and Friday mornings @10am, so I had to do the order from work.
One of the handful of benefits of living in China, I suppose...

you have just answered to yourself
you live in CHINA, where you can buy that phone normally, we live in rest of the world where we need invite and mail forwarding systems to get the phone delivered to us
because of that you got phone in 1 day
I ordered on a Monday, it didn't say shipped until Tuesday night and it was delivered on Thursday with a signature confirmation with USPS.
I was very happy with the shipping and also with the device

VG order process so far
So far my order has been very smooth ... received my invite at around 2pm EST on7/24; ordered at around 9pm EST on 7/24; was in processing until around 9-10pm CA time 7/25 (guessing a little here); left LA at 11pm CA time on 7/25. Shipped Priority Mail, sig. conf. (altho I have heard USPS doesn;t actually get a sig.? .. anybody confirm either way?)
So I have to say VG so far .... and WAYYYY better than the N4 fiasco. I know people have really been down on the invite system, but it does some good things too and it is Ok as I am reasonably patient and have a working phone so it's all good .... cheers
Anybody from Austria?
I bought my on 29.07.2014.
It took one day to come to the state Processing, but till know there has nothing changed.
Should it change to Shipping completed or on some countries it just switch to Completed when it was transfered to the local transfer Business(DHL or Post.at)?
Google just finalized the payment on my Player which usually means that the shipping label is created. Keep an eye on your bank accounts.
Yep, my order is pending on my amex. I placed it day 1.

Good to hear I'm not the only one.
Yes, I just got billed on my Visa card. According to PCI standards billing shouldn't occur until shipment occurs. However, if I look at my order it still says shipping 11/21.

that date is usually just an estimate, and usually implies on, or sooner than it.
Looking at my account, it looks like something is also happening, but the thing is, the money is just "pending" again, rather than having been charged from my account. So, not sure what that means. I'd have thought it would actually be charged. My order status still says that it'll be leaving the warehouse on the 14th.

The pending won't go away for a business day or 2. That's normal.

Charges put in on that day don't just get listed with the rest, they normally have pending status for some time - maybe part of the day, or until the next. Authorizations kinda do the same thing, but go away instead of being charged - until the time to charge comes back, then it goes to pending again, then to charged.
I work for an online retailer and "pending" means one of several things.
1. They've asked the credit card company for authorization to determine if the card is good. This is normally done at order time to validate the card and billing address. It's generally a small amount like a dollar.
2. They're asking for authorization for the full amount to see if the card has available credit to ship. This is done just before shipment to make sure they don't ship something and then can't get the full amount. Doing this, however, starts the clock in two ways. 1) They're tying up the amount on the customer's credit card. How long is up to the bank. Some will hold authorizations for 3 days, some for 21 days. Customers get pretty testy if you lock their credit up for long periods. The only way to remove the authorization is a phone call to the bank (not credit card company) 2) Once they request an authorization it gets stale. After 24 hours the rate the bank charges for the transaction increases. As more time goes by the rate increases even more. They don't like holding onto authorizations as customers complain so they punish the vendor if they take too long.
3. They've shipped and have sent a notice to the credit card company and it will "settle" in tonight's batch run. We'll know tomorrow.
I also see the auth on my account today. Shipping still shows 11/14 but this looks promising!

Oh, they have a warehouse in Kentucky? Hm. Hopefully that means it comes pretty quick, for me, as I live in Ohio (Kentucky is close to Ohio, isn't it? Oy, I haven't looked at a map in ages @[email protected]). I wonder if the Nexus 6 will also ship from that same warehouse...?
Anyway, I still have no actual shipping confirmation or tracking information. The charge is still "pending" on my account. Granted, I did take the 3-5 day shipping, so I guess I can't expect to get it until late next week. Ah well. I just wish my Nexus 6 would come sooner, heh.
Dammit. I hesitated, then missed it. The ordered again when it came back on sale. I expect a later batch.

Same here. I thought I ordered day one, then looked at my email, then remembered I didn't want one at first since I have 2 ADT-1's.
Hiya,
Anyone had any experience with refunds and google store? I recently returned a nexus 6p for a refund. It arrived with them yesterday (says UPS tracking number) and today I have a credit for £348.99 which is from an order for a Nexus 5 from 2 years ago!? This was confirmed by a google support person on chat support. She assured me though, that the (£499) refund can take 8-10 days and It will definitely be refunded back to my account soon and to keep the £348.99 refund for a christmas party .
I'm all for the extra money, but this seems so off. Has anyone else had an order refunded... and if so, how long did it take to get the money back? I'm currently £150 and fearing its staying that way atm.
I'm in the UK btw if that makes a difference. The return was shipped to Germany.
From razer website to Texas, so no carrier involved.
This rma is for an issue I haven't seen here yet. The vibration device doesn't vibrate, it rattles loudly like a snakes tail. Defeats the purpose of "silent" vibration notifications at the office.
I should say I contacted support Friday to discuss the issue. They agreed to replace and start the process. Saturday I receive an email requesting order details to provide PRIOR to obtaining an rma for returning. I could have given them all this in Friday's chat season. In fact, since I ordered from razer direct they already have it. Starting to look like "mail in rebate" hurdles.
It's the first out of the box phone failure/issue I have ever had that required replacement. If you are on the fence about this phone you should pass.
It's a known issue.. I ordered the gold edition and it was perfect for a little while and it seems to get worse the more I use it. I don't really pay much attention to it anymore.. but I've got a S9+ sitting next to me which is the best Galaxy phone I've used ever..so I may just be returning my Razer. I love the phone, but I've had to use my Galaxy for call details (it's broke right now on Razer) and my cantacts are all jacked up for some reason so I think it's another bug on Razers end. I could put it down for awhile until they update, but then I've got a $650 phone just doing nothing on my desk. With the Razer 2 being announced a little later this year and pixel 3 coming out.. this phone doesn't seem worth the headache anymore.
Update: Be aware that the Razer return policy is essentially no returns. They give you 14 days from purchase date to request full refund.
Considering it takes 3-4 days from order to receipt, you're down to 10 days.
I used it 2 days before giving up and contacting customer service. It took me 3 days to get an rma.
Their prepaid shipping (I shipped very next day) burns another 3 days. I monitored fedex delivery and contacted support the day it showed delivered.
It took 2 days for them to respond. When they did I said I reconsidered and would like a full refund. I was told "sorry, your 14 days are up". First I've heard of that limitation.
Obviously their entire process is configured to run out the clock.

It's 14 days from purchase to start the RMA process not to get the faulty device to them. Since Nov, I've changed 3 Razer Phones due to Android bugs (not hardware issues), replacements that they offered to exchange for the faulty ones - not something I requested specifically - wanted to inform the about those specific issues. The last one (2nd Razer Phone) I send on the May 4th and today I received it back (the 3rd brand new one). Their CC is blazing fast and without any hassle (at least on EU).
I know I can rma for more flakey replacements numerous times.
My last post was to inform that the return for refund policy may as well not exist as they start the 14 day clock from purchase date, no matter how long you wait for arrival. Then further hoops you must jump through effectively eliminate your refund window.
Why should anyone be content returning a device 2-3 times until you get one that is acceptable? In 30 plus years of cell phone use I've never had a hardware failure out of the box until razer.
I'm just supporting my opinion to avoid razer with the facts of my case. If you're happy with your situation that's cool. I'm not cool with mine, and am just sharing my experience with the community.
Thanks.
any one notice min has went strangely quiet about the Razer phone these days, we still can't choose where the phone saves pictures, adaptable storage don't work under Oreo, build quality is mediocre I think we were sold a lemon all the promise of fixes and rapid updates have vanished

The phone was a major disappointment.
Ditched it for a Mi Mix 2 and love it. Better camera, better build quality and materials. Actual custom ROMs to install too..
