OTG USB - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone get OTG to work with CyanogenMod11 builds yet on Nexus5? When I plug a OTG card reader that I have in, it shows up and works in TWRP fine however it doesn't seem to want to auto mount it in CM11. There's a few apps out there that I tried that work (OTG explorer, etc), however I'd like full system access if possible. Have not tried with stock Google firmware.

Mount phone as USB storage via USB

Hi,
I got my TF300 today and tried to connect my Nexus S to it to transfer some data but it does not get recognized by the Tablet. If I connect it to the dock's USB port nothing happens. Is there a way to make this work? Bluetooth is damn slow for transfering greater files...
Edit: Found a workaround. It works when you boot your phone into clockwork recovery and choose the option mount as USB mass storage. Its not the ideal way, but it works.
Is there another method to get my phone mounted?

[HELP][usb-otg] not work using twrp multirom

hi,
i want to install ROM on my usb ptg drive but in twrp multirom in addROM input i can choose my otg drive without problem but in zip file browsing i can't access to my otg drive.
in mount input i tape on otg choice but it does not active in drive choice i also can't choose external drive (otg) someone can help me ?
before some update of multiROM usb otg work nicely
anyone can help me ?
I ran into the same problem , and it turns out for some reason while it doesn't act as though it's mounted when you first access it to flash a zip, if you go back a few folder levels to the main Root-level of files choices and select the USB-OTG folder all your files should be visible. It's weird, but only through that method of accessing it does it give you full access. Super weird.
Also, I just got my first OTG drive for this phone like an hour ago so I'm flashing a ROM using OTG for the first time right now and it appears to be slow. As. Heck.
I imagine somewhere in the four months after positing this you found an answer to your question, but on the off chance that you haven't or that someone else stumbles across this thread looking for an answer I thought I'd try and help. That plus I found the solution to the problem while tinkering with TWRP MultiRon while waiting for this page to load, so it just felt right, you know?

[Q] [MIUI v5] USB OTG not working

Hello,
according to many tutorials and threads on the Internet, MIUI v5 comes with USB OTG support for external drives. But not for Nexus 5 - after connecting any USB drive (including my PQI Connect 203 which I use almost every day) MIUI doesn't seem to do anything - there's no notification popping up, no external storage information is being shown in "Storage" settings and file managers don't see it as well. All my drives are formatted in FAT32 and they were all working on my previous ROM, SlimKat. Changing kernel to ElementalX didn't help.
I know there's Stickmount in Google Play but it causes way too many problems for me while external storage support in SlimKat was working flawlessly. Is there something I'm missing or MIUI v5 for N5 doesn't support OTG drives this way?
PS: Stickmount Pro doesn't work either (nothing happens when pressing Mount). That's interesting... Also what's more interesting is that I used the OTG Troubleshooter app and it showed me that the source of problem is the "Android 4.3 issue 58277" - while MIUI v5 bases on KitKat...
EDIT: Please close this thread. MIUI caused way too many problems for me so I switched back to Slimkat.

TWRP internal storage 0mb + cannot use usb port

Hello, I have got this problem with my galaxy s7. My main hardware problem is that I cannot use usb port to transfer data or to make any change to my phone due to the hardware failure. So it's inaccessible to flash a recovery or rom through usb connector. After installing a different custom rom before 3-4 months, tried to install also migiksk to hide root priveledge for using web banking apps and etc. My problem is that i cant find any zip to install because of TWRP problem "internal storage 0mb". What do you recommend me to do without to be needed to use any usb cable?
