Drivers for Alfa external WiFi adapter? - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone have the RTL8187 drivers for an Alfa AWUS036H WiFi adapter that are compiled for the TF300? This is a popular adapter and chipset and I've seen old posts on this working. I'm running Kali as installed with the Complete Linux Installer app. I'm running the latest CROMI-X. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey,
lock for 'Android PCAP Capture' in the Play-Store.
Maybe it will work. For my Alfa AWUS036NHA with RTL8188 it doesn't work :crying:
Bye Stefan

Thanks for the reply. PCAP does work with my adapter plugged into the docks USB port. However, I'm looking to do more than that, like use airodump within Kali. Anyone else have any ideas?

[Q] DVB-T dongle running on tf300t?

Have anyone tried connectig dvb-t usb dongle to tf300t? I'm going to take a shot and buy a cheap one tuner based on RTL2832U chipset and try to make it work. I just wonder if anyone tried it already. Has anyone successfully installed the driver?
I tried the drivers from the above mentioned link but also from the newest app 'Android DVB-T' in Google Play.
My TF300 is running with the newest firmware and root rights.
The TF300 is rebooting a few seconds after start installing the drivers.
My DVB-T stick has the RTL2832U chipset and is successfully running the app 'SDR Touch'
It would be great to get it running!

[Q] Galaxy Note 10.1 + awus036eh + linux

Hi.
I am trying to get working awus036eh wireless adapter connected to my samsung galaxy note 10.1 via otg wire.
Firstly I successfully launched Kali linux on tablet with Linux Deploy tool.
In Kali lsusb output shows me my wireless adapter (Realtek Semiconductor Corp, RTL8187 Wireless Adapter ) connected, but the thing is - I dont have wifi interface with this usb adapter.. iwconfig only shows me my wlan0, that is tablet's default wifi card.
Can anyone explain how can i get this wifi interface for my usb wifi adapter?
This is the galaxy tab 10.1 section not the note 10.1

Can anybody help me or suggest something, how can I get wifi interface for this adapter?
I know this thread is old but I was wondering if anyone ever figured this out... preferably just a way to load the required modules for an rtl8187 Alfa adapter without having to recompile the kernel. Any help would be greatly appreciated

USB Controller Support? (6039y)

I've tried an Xbox One controller via an OTG cable but it isn't recognized by the phone. Is it possible to implement USB controller support via custom firmware or is it something we have to ask Alcatel to provide?

The version of the xpad driver shipped with this version of the linux 3.10 kernel doesn't support xbox one controllers.
https://github.com/TeamRegular/android_kernel_alcatel_msm8916/blob/dts/drivers/input/joystick/xpad.c
The driver is about 2 years old. If someone has a custom stock kernel available you could ask them to pick the changes here I just made for latest xpad driver from upstream
https://github.com/TeamRegular/android_kernel_alcatel_msm8916-stock/commits/cm-13.0-xpad
Thanks for the reply, there doesn't seem to be any custom kernels available for the 6039y so far (atleast here on XDA), maybe that'll change in the future but I'll have to wait it out and ask nicely when one arrives.
disregard this post, information gained after a bit of lurking on Github.

Does lsusb via terminal emulator show the device's pid/vid? If so or if you know the pid/vid please post them.

My interest in making the gamepad to work in the Idol 3 5.5 comes from this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.killig.gamepadime&hl=es, as the developer states that if the kernel has USB host mode and joydev.ko support it works.
I have found some modules here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=987482 in XDA.
Please, let me know if you need some more information. I appreciate your work and effort.
