[Q] DVB-T dongle running on tf300t? - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Have anyone tried connectig dvb-t usb dongle to tf300t? I'm going to take a shot and buy a cheap one tuner based on RTL2832U chipset and try to make it work. I just wonder if anyone tried it already. I found interesting post on nexus 7 forums : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1841759

Has anyone successfully installed the driver?
I tried the drivers from the above mentioned link but also from the newest app 'Android DVB-T' in Google Play.
My TF300 is running with the newest firmware and root rights.
The TF300 is rebooting a few seconds after start installing the drivers.
My DVB-T stick has the RTL2832U chipset and is successfully running the app 'SDR Touch'
It would be great to get it running!

[Q] Aircrack gui for Hisense Sero 7 Pro

After doing some research on this Tablet, I have found out that it has a bcm4330 broadcom wifi chipset. Basically what I want to do is enable monitor mode and packet injecting. Some of the work has been done thanks to these guys who have rewritten the firmware to enable monitor mode http://bcmon.blogspot.com/
And this guy for a good gui [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2233282"]http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2233282
Can someone help me get it to work on this device? I have installed the aircrack gui app and put the firmware in it. But I don't know how to get the module which is required by the app. So what I am asking for is someone to help me by either telling me how to compile the kernel with the module or else do it for me. I have done some looking around but I have not found a user friendly way to compile the kernel to get this to work. I only got this tablet a week ago and I want to learn about it and use it to it's fullest potential. I have already rooted it.
You can download the aircrack gui app from the second link and the firmware from the first.
Thanks in advance.
Sero 7 Pro Has Working Monitor Mode, Aircrack, and Reaver!
When it comes to handheld penetration testing, I still adore my Nokia N900, but that is starting to change ever since I realized that it was possible to get monitor mode on other more modern devices using various Broadcom Wifi chipsets. I recently managed to get monitor working on my Sero 7 Pro tablet. I have the DoPa v1.1 ROM installed, and I used the bcmon.apk from bcmon.blogspot.com/‎, which can be downloaded at https://code.google.com/p/bcmon/‎. Android development is certainly not my primary focus, but after view the post above, and craving a Nexus 7 PwnPad, I couldn't resist giving it a try.

Drivers for Alfa external WiFi adapter?

Does anyone have the RTL8187 drivers for an Alfa AWUS036H WiFi adapter that are compiled for the TF300? This is a popular adapter and chipset and I've seen old posts on this working. I'm running Kali as installed with the Complete Linux Installer app. I'm running the latest CROMI-X. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey,
lock for 'Android PCAP Capture' in the Play-Store.
Maybe it will work. For my Alfa AWUS036NHA with RTL8188 it doesn't work :crying:
Bye Stefan

Thanks for the reply. PCAP does work with my adapter plugged into the docks USB port. However, I'm looking to do more than that, like use airodump within Kali. Anyone else have any ideas?

[Q] tv tuner plug to Q102

Hi Devs, i have a question about compatibility tv tuner via tablet. the tv tuners are A867(AF9015) and DVBT USB DONGLE(IT9135), the tablet is Maxxxer Q102(4.4.2 android, QuadCore A31) and kernel version 3.3.0 . Tv tuners play perfect on windows 7. I found some drivers(modules) for android version as ****.ko but are not for my kernel version. I tried to <<install>> it on modules as <<insmod>> but it say <<exec format error>> . My question is how can i make it right for my kernel version, or how can i make it play otherwise?
P.S. if my theard is in wrong section please transfer it in right. Thanks a lot
Hi, I'm not proposing you exact guide how to get working your particular tuner but very similar one based on same chipset. So you will have idea how to compile your own modules.
Sorry for Czech language only

USB Controller Support? (6039y)

I've tried an Xbox One controller via an OTG cable but it isn't recognized by the phone. Is it possible to implement USB controller support via custom firmware or is it something we have to ask Alcatel to provide?

The version of the xpad driver shipped with this version of the linux 3.10 kernel doesn't support xbox one controllers.
https://github.com/TeamRegular/android_kernel_alcatel_msm8916/blob/dts/drivers/input/joystick/xpad.c
The driver is about 2 years old. If someone has a custom stock kernel available you could ask them to pick the changes here I just made for latest xpad driver from upstream
https://github.com/TeamRegular/android_kernel_alcatel_msm8916-stock/commits/cm-13.0-xpad
Thanks for the reply, there doesn't seem to be any custom kernels available for the 6039y so far (atleast here on XDA), maybe that'll change in the future but I'll have to wait it out and ask nicely when one arrives.
disregard this post, information gained after a bit of lurking on Github.

My interest in making the gamepad to work in the Idol 3 5.5 comes from this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.killig.gamepadime&hl=es, as the developer states that if the kernel has USB host mode and joydev.ko support it works.
I have found some modules here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=987482 in XDA.
Please, let me know if you need some more information. I appreciate your work and effort.
