[Q] Trio Stealth Pro 4.0 driver porting - where to begin?

Hi, first time posting so I hope I am in the right section. I recently acquired a MachSpeed Trio Stealth Pro tablet. When I received it the previous owner tried to flash the tablet to the unofficial Cyanogenmod 9 ROM that is floating around for the AllWinner A10 tablets. In doing this he rendered the tablet unusable. After doing some research I found out what I have is an updated model with a A8 Cortex A13 instead of the A8 Cortex A10. I did some searching and found a Cyanogenmod ROM for the A13 that mostly works with this unit. I was able to modify the key-map and get all the buttons working. The real problems are the auto-rotation and the camera do not work. I found another ROM that both devices work on and I have tried everything I can think of to try and get the known working kernel modules from one ROM to load with the CM kernel but I have been unsuccessful. I have tried to "insmod" the modules that I know work but I receive the following error, "insmod: init_module 'gc030809.ko' failed (Exec format error)" and the output from "dmesg" is " gc030809: disagrees about version of symbol module_layout" (The other module gives the exact same errors). I have learned this is happening because of the way modules are written for android with them being version and kernel specific. I want to fix this if possible and have a fully functional tablet again. Unfortunately I do not have a dump of the original ROM and my programming skills are basic at best. I know its a long shot but can anyone help me? The ROM that contains the known working modules is "F1(A13)-20121102.1.0.3.img" which belongs to the A13 version of the LY-F1 so I am thinking this tablet I have is a close clone. The CM ROM I am trying to use is "CM9.1-Manta-mid08-alpha7.zip" and was created for the Manta Mid-08. Both ROM's are ICS 4.0.4 with kernel version 3.0.8+. I can provide links to both ROM's. How to root Android 2.2 TV box?

Hello Friends,
I have a Chinese Network TV box build on Chipset: SkyViiA SV8860 – A. Youtube app stopped working on this, rest everything working fine. I need to try 3rd party ROM's on this as there is no updates available from the manufacturer. Before doing this I want to root the device so that I won't brick it. I am pretty new to this, so any guidance on rooting is appreciated. This device has two USB host slots, SD/mmc Slot, USB device, Network LAN port, HDMI and Composite video.

[Q] how to make an android 4.0+ rom to my device

It´s posible to make an android 4.0+ rom to my device? because i´ve seen many devices with lower specifications that mine running 4.0+ versions of android.
What are the changes to do in my kernel to make my device handle those android versions?
My device is huawei y210. Google it, i cant post links yet.

[Completed] Need help finding an thread in convert full android os in chinese tv box in andoirdtv

I know this is annoying for you cool assist guys , but i had recently visit an xda thread which said to convert a Android Tv box of chiness manufactor, which is usually ship with full android os but not Android TV inside. I still remenber the way of how to do that, to change the build prop file to some android tv devices like shied tv and copy some file to system and install some android tv redy apps. Just dont know where the thread is now. So, i need someone to help me find it. Thanks in advance
P/s : and in that guide, the op has success convert an android tv box ( chinese one) to a android tv and he even make a rom for that tv box which ships with android tv app and mods already.

Setting up Android on a smart projector

Hi, I got myself a smart projector running on Android. Unfortunetely the deveopers installed a really old version and it seems there is no way to update them. When trying to add an account to the system or let alone update the system tells me that it can not communicate with the google servers. So, I am planning to install a new Android version on the smart projector.
Can anyone point me towards a good resource (on the net) that tells me what information I need to have, which files from the current installation I need to keep (i.e. drivers) before installing whoch ROM?

Sounds familiar - having the same problem: My Philips Picopix 4935 is a splendid device but its Android 4 isn't much fun (especially with newer audio/video-formats).
What model do you have?
