[Q] Galaxy Note 10.1 + awus036eh + linux - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
I am trying to get working awus036eh wireless adapter connected to my samsung galaxy note 10.1 via otg wire.
Firstly I successfully launched Kali linux on tablet with Linux Deploy tool.
In Kali lsusb output shows me my wireless adapter (Realtek Semiconductor Corp, RTL8187 Wireless Adapter ) connected, but the thing is - I dont have wifi interface with this usb adapter.. iwconfig only shows me my wlan0, that is tablet's default wifi card.
Can anyone explain how can i get this wifi interface for my usb wifi adapter?

This is the galaxy tab 10.1 section not the note 10.1

Fail... How did this happen lol --" misclicked on the note section...

Can anybody help me or suggest something, how can I get wifi interface for this adapter?

I know this thread is old but I was wondering if anyone ever figured this out... preferably just a way to load the required modules for an rtl8187 Alfa adapter without having to recompile the kernel. Any help would be greatly appreciated

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" P3113- 3G Dong

Hi all, i'm new on smart devices, i recentlly own a "P3113 - WiFi-Only" rooted (with the first tutorial on google: "p3113 root").
Also i have a 3G dong ZTE MF180 which i'm trying touse with PPP Widget
The thing is PPP Widget ask for "option.ko" from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1952799&page=2
Which is unable to exec Format
I'll appreciate all of your help to make MF180 works in this PDA
My english is short doing my best
Model
GT-P3113
Android Version
4.04
Kernel
3.0.8-911625
Compilation
IMM76D.P3113UEBLH2
Everything I've read on here says the kernel doesn't support USB 3G dongles, I think someone may have been trying to find a way to patch it but not sure it was for the p3113.

Drivers for Alfa external WiFi adapter?

Does anyone have the RTL8187 drivers for an Alfa AWUS036H WiFi adapter that are compiled for the TF300? This is a popular adapter and chipset and I've seen old posts on this working. I'm running Kali as installed with the Complete Linux Installer app. I'm running the latest CROMI-X. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey,
lock for 'Android PCAP Capture' in the Play-Store.
Maybe it will work. For my Alfa AWUS036NHA with RTL8188 it doesn't work :crying:
Bye Stefan

Thanks for the reply. PCAP does work with my adapter plugged into the docks USB port. However, I'm looking to do more than that, like use airodump within Kali. Anyone else have any ideas?

[Completed] USB OTG + Charging + ethernet kernel support for I9506 and N9005

I am trying to find a custom kernel for multiple devices to support USB OTG + host charging + ethernet.
Currently I can achieve the OTG and ethernet but not the charging.
The devices are connected through a ruggerdized case to a data radio.
Is there a reliable custom kernel available that will support this or would I be better of attempting to modify the kernel myself to achieve this. I am not that experienced with modify kernels hence would rather not go down this path.
Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.
The devices are:
S4 LTE GT-I9506
4.4.2
XXUCNJ1
Note3 SM-N9005
4.4.2
XXUGNG1
Note 8
details unsure.

Can I add a pwnix ROM on Asus Zenfone 2?

Hey there I am sure by now alot of you already know about Pwn Phones and Pwnix OS, a rebuild version of Kali Linux
I was wondering instead of buying almost a $1000 of average specs pwn phone, can I insert a pwnix rom into my Zenfone 2 device instead ?
please let me know how to do it if its possible
and my second question is can I insert an external wifi adapter (alpha) in Zenfone 2 device using OTG?

Definitely impossible. If possible everyone will go for a cheaper Note 10 Lite rather than Note 10
Rom from note 10 are not compatible with note 10 lite, not the same phone/hardware !!!!
But some people can try to port app from note 10 to gn10 lite like dex, if this app does not require hardware specifics !
But I doubt that the community for gn10 lite is ready to do that (not enough people like you can see on XDA !!!)

I feel like Dex requires usb 3.1 and our device has usb 2.0? I'm not entirely sure
off course not possible your device is totally break and not boot.
@thedisturbedone : It's usb 3.1, but the cable provided with phone is only usb 2.0 !

What makes you say it is 3.1? I have only been able to find proof that it is 2.0..
Samsung say NOW it's 2.0 so probably 2.0 finally. But it's not a problem, usb 2.0 is enough to only transfert data ! (no mhl, no dex, no.... pfffff !)
