wipe cache, data, system, and dalvik to completely clean it off then reflash the rom. if all else fails go back to what ever you were using before. creating a back up is a MUST before flashing anything new. also make sure you are flashing the correct gapps file with whatever version of android your rom is running.

Don't want to hijack this thread but we need more info, if you get signature errors then try to reflash recovery and make sure that your download rom zip is not corrupted. (e.g: Download it again)
I have never seen gapps do this before.
You need to have proper drivers to use your device's fastboot function.

I have installed google usb drivers adb work fine exept the command adb shell it's give me error I don't have CWM for my devices , i send the romto sdcard with adb command with a nameupdate.zip I go to android system recovery try to instal the file it's give me a signature error i tryed also a CM version but it's giving me error 7

Recovery verified failed ??

Hello A510 owners,
After playing with patching google store using lucky patcher, my tablet start to bootloop...I was on Piccolo Rom,so I just flashed the rom again (wiped everything that could be wiped), but didn't worked, still bootloop...So I said to myself, let's make a fresh and clean install and get back to stock. I've download a stock rom, put it on my external SD Card and flashed it in CWN. I got a warning like I won't have recovery anymore after flashing but accept anyway, and start to flash...Tablet reboot and this is what I get :
Code:
erasing cache before sd update
SD update cmd : recovery
--update_package=SDCARD : update.zip
booting recovery kernel image
[COLOR="Red"]Recovery verified failed[/COLOR]
Then, I tried many stock rom I could find on the internet, still same error. I even tried with removing first line of the updater-script, nothing work...and I can't use adb anymore to push cwn again.
Any idea ? I really need help here ! :crying:
I guess u might flash the stock n still kept the cwm, so u can't enter the cwm anymore 'coz the bootloader was locked back.
Maybe u can try to unlock first, or u can consider to rewrite the recovery partition.
Rename update.zip to something different, CMW may not accept "command line" flashing.
Anyway if you can boot CMW (rename update.zip first!)
a) wipe dalvik-cache (under Advanced) and try to boot
b)if this fails- wipe data/cache (factory reset)
THX guys, I don't know how but I just format everything and reinstall cwn+rom, and it worked... I just lose all my datas on sdcard:'(

yes i tried it many times but i encountered the same problem everytime
now recovery is working again somehow but its still unable to delete cache and delvik cache .
everytime i try to flash custom rom by adb sideload it stucks on "deleting cache and delvik cache"
try an ruu
fastboot erase cache
Try erasing your cache partition from bootloader.
Get into fastboot USB mode and:
fastboot erase cache

Tab 2 10.1 restart constantly

My "Galaxy Tab 2 P5100" constantly restarts. Has the stock ROM with root and cwm 6.0.1.
Only reboot if the tablet is in android system or power off.
In the recovery dont restart.
This is the problem:
If i make a factory reset, when the tablet restart, this fails.
In the CWM, wipe data/factory reset: data wipe complete successfuly. But when the tablet restart, the data dont wiped.
If i delete my pictures or unistall apps, when restart, the deleted pictures or apps are there again.
I flash TWRP or philz recovery whit odin: succesfully flashed, when restart cwm 6.0.1 is still there.
In the cwm i flash another custom rom: successfully flashed. When restart, nothing flashed, the tablet still in the stock original rom.
Odin back to stock fails at system write.
Something is really wrong

When i flash a custom rom , the installer format system, then write the new rom. In the recovery say successfully wiped and flashed, but when restart again, the original rom a data still there.
Odin start to write system, fails at the write, but the tablet boot to the original android system and data.
Try using adb to install recovery

Maybe we must call someone by spamming other threads
I have the same problem :crying:
when in recovery mode, it says something like
"did not match sized '/system/csc/common/system/csc/....."
about wallpaper thing, with red font.
already wipe chace also factory reset, but after reboot, the internal memory still the same. the pictures, the apps.
flash via odin stuck at nand write, then failed.
I can enter the homescreen, but just for 5-7 seconds, then it will restart. then do the same cycles.
How to solve this? is this a hardware problem?
someone said about emmc bricked, he replace the mainboar with the new 1. its too expensive for me, especially for now, this tab no longer up to date compare to newest devices nowadays.
sorry for my english, my brain also got some brick :silly:

You can flash the stock images via fastboot, that will erase everthing and get you back to stock. You can then install a custom recovery and flash roms again.

There is a command to wipe user data, see the below guide.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2839471
Reason!
Thanks for your expert replies.
The reason for asking was and is for you to know in depth what happened.
My OPOs BL is unlocked and rooted.......at times try other ROMs like Hydrogen, RR, etc.
I was surprised to see and empty Baidu folder size 80 bytes shown by ES File manger, after I flashed back COS 12.
The way I flash is firstly reboot to TWRP, Format > type yes, than Factory reset, than Advanced Wipe ALL except OTG, power off the OPO.
Power on in fastboot mode, connect to pc and flash COS ROM using those commands.
All is good, except the empty Baidu Folder, fail to understand how did it persist.
Other thing is when I later flash TWRP over stock, and than when I perform a factory reset before flashing another ROM, see red SD card errors? ........have to keep rebooting to TWRP.
The way I flash is TWRP > Format type yes > Factory reset > Wipe all except OTG > Mount OTG-USB containing the zip, install zip swipe flash > once done > Reboot. (before reboot don't clear dalvik and cache).
If I take screen capture of TWRP they wont be saved in Gallery.
TWRP 2.7.8.0 when flashed on start up showed this.........
"TWRP has detected an unmodified partition. TWRP can leave your partition unmodified to make it easier for you to take official updates. TWRP will be unable to prevent the stock ROM from replacing from replacing TWRP and will not offer to root your device. installing zips or performing adb operations may still modify the system partition.
Never show this screen during boot again."
To sum up my queries are:
1. How can I perform a deep clean of OPO, and than flash COS 12 using fastboot, so I don't see any Baidu etc empty folders.
2. Than flash TWRP and and if needed can take it's screen captures.
3. Later if required can flash new custom ROM with out issues.
Bottom line to clean my OPOs Storage that includes SD card.
Btw my OPO isn't giving any issues or bugs and working great, no EFS issues etc.........
After reading all care to edit/correct what am I doing incorrect?
Thanks again.

I have seen people querying the Baidu folder before (i have it myself), it seems to be a folder left by ES file explorer, have you ever installed that? It doesnt seem to be anything malicious, although a lot people were spooked, thinking it was spyware of some sort.

Below is the command for flashing the userdata file via fastboot. If you have downloaded the fastboot image files, I think it basically pushes a blank file to overwrite/format the user data space/parition.
Code:
fastboot flash userdata userdata_64G.img

Download your 4.4.2 firmware here
Make sure you have a good cable and the latest odin.
Do not panic. Is your phone able to boot into recovery? If so then there is hope.. Let me know and I might be able to help you out.
If you're in bootloop after cm12.. Try clearing the 'cache' and 'Dalvik cache' from recovery and try rebooting. .
