Hello A510 owners,
After playing with patching google store using lucky patcher, my tablet start to bootloop...I was on Piccolo Rom,so I just flashed the rom again (wiped everything that could be wiped), but didn't worked, still bootloop...So I said to myself, let's make a fresh and clean install and get back to stock. I've download a stock rom, put it on my external SD Card and flashed it in CWN. I got a warning like I won't have recovery anymore after flashing but accept anyway, and start to flash...Tablet reboot and this is what I get :
Code:
erasing cache before sd update
SD update cmd : recovery
--update_package=SDCARD : update.zip
booting recovery kernel image
[COLOR="Red"]Recovery verified failed[/COLOR]
Then, I tried many stock rom I could find on the internet, still same error. I even tried with removing first line of the updater-script, nothing work...and I can't use adb anymore to push cwn again.
Any idea ? I really need help here ! :crying:
I guess u might flash the stock n still kept the cwm, so u can't enter the cwm anymore 'coz the bootloader was locked back.
Maybe u can try to unlock first, or u can consider to rewrite the recovery partition.
Rename update.zip to something different, CMW may not accept "command line" flashing.
Anyway if you can boot CMW (rename update.zip first!)
a) wipe dalvik-cache (under Advanced) and try to boot
b)if this fails- wipe data/cache (factory reset)
THX guys, I don't know how but I just format everything and reinstall cwn+rom, and it worked... I just lose all my datas on sdcard:'(

Hi this is my second thread here..
My nexus s is stucked on google logo screen, maybe it was coz by beiing battery drained one morning and i just saw it on nexus s splash screen loop, i removed battery and turned it on but still on google logo..so i boot to recovery mod and restore it with my nandroid back up, but hanged.
My phone was unlocked using superoneclick, and installed rom manager and flashed CWM 3.0.0.5..
I can still access my phones recovery and tried to flash every rom that i had on my sdcard but when it reboot still stocked in google logo
I tried to put stock ROM which i newly downloaded and copy to my sdcard via recovery mod (mount/unmount sdcard) but when i run it i got installation aborted. I tried to unzipped the stock rom and put the backup on my cwm folder again via recovery mod(mount/unmount sdcard) when i run it i got MD mismatch..i cannot modify my etc/recovery because my phone is not booting and i cant use the file explorer to that too.
I tried the ODIN rom both I9020/i9023 i got success (pass) status, but when it reboot it still stuck on google logo..
Im thinking that this is now a hardware problem, i tried every method but it does not solved the problem.. But im still having hope because i can stiil accesss my bootloader and i can flash CWM,i can access recovery mod i can mount sdcard etc.. (also my recovery keeps returning to stock recovery so i have to reflash all over again every boot (google logo))
Anything more i could do which can save my phon?
Did you wipe system data, wipe cache, advanced>wipe dalvik-cache before flashing any rom?
If that doesn't work, try ADB pushing the zip file to your SD card instead of using clockwork recovery mounting.

Yeah i wiped those..i also trie pushing zip files via adb but i still get "installation aborted" and MD mismatch...
I would redownload the file then. The download may have been corrupted, hence the md5 mismatch.

which brwoser should be used when downloading?actually i also done redownloading but i still get md mis-match.
Do you think i lost superuser permission, because my recovery always reflash to stock recovery..
MD mismatch means the file is corrupted through either the downloading process or transferring to SD process.
Try flashing a different rom?

ve tried flashing different roms, i get installation aborted, and MD mismatch..
I tried flashing roms/and nandroid backup which was saved on my sdcard, when i flash them they run well and i get installation completed, but when it reboots it still stucks on google logo..when i flash the nandroid backup i noticed that it takes so long when its flashing the datas, but after waiting for a while it still succesful but when i reboot im still in google logo..
How long do you actually wait at the Google logo? If you wipe cache it usually takes a bit longer to actually boot up.

Try this
Connect to your computer and lock your bootloader using "fastboot oem lock" via adb.
Once the bootloader is locked unlock it again using "fastboot oem unlock". This wipes out everything on on your phone(including SD card). Then WITHOUT REBOOTING follow the instructions in this thread to flash CWM and get root access through superuser.

Was trying to flash the ICS ROM V5 but it got stuck on the boot animation. I did a factory reset, surprisingly it was still there. So i used "Team Win Recovery Project" aka "twrp-crespo-2[DOT]0[DOT]0RC0[DOT]img" in nexusshacks.com. I went in there to do a factory reset but i wiped the ACTUAL system instead. So when i reboot i am stuck on Google. Unfortunely i only had 1 back up which is in ClockworkMod, but i cant access that. I dont mind my lost files because i can recover that but i want my phone to work again. Can i copy the nexus s contents from another nexus s and place it in my SD and will it work? If you guys have ideas please do reply because i need my phone fixed asap. Bootloader unlocked and rooted using superuser.

okay,am not very familiar with TWRP but your problem doesn't seem that big,you wiped the /system which should not affect your USB storage data (even if you wiped the USB storage it's not a problem),try to boot into the bootloader (volume up + power button) then go to recovery, mount the USB storage and put a ROM on it,then just flash the ROM and your device should boot up normally,i think you weren't stuck at the bootanimation since when you flash a new ROM the first boot could take from 5 to 10 minutes.
i usually do a clean install before flashing a new ROM (format system, data, cache, boot) and the device just boot up normally after flashing the new ROM so it's not a problem if you wiped your system just flash a new ROM.

I did this same thing a few weeks ago. I just had to reinstall everything (including the recovery) from fastboot. Worked like a charm.
I used the nexusshack tut to root my nexus had no problems.
You could go into recovery, mount usb storage, find the clockworkmod directory and copy that to your pc..
do a full data wipe and flash a new rom, then install rom manager flash CWM recovery . move the clockworkmod directory back to your phone. boot into recovery and restore you backup.
Just an idea .. not sure if it could work..(take no responsibility is it doesnt)
hello, last week i bricked my tf300, this is what happened...
i installed the energy rom along with the 4.2.1 bootloader, i was already using twrp 2.4.3.0 and it seemed to work fine for a while but then i had problems with a double screen after trying a different rom (cant remember which) anyway i tried the usual resets and wipes to to fix it but no joy. I then used the wipe data in bootloader thinking a full clean wipe would sort it but it just booted straight into twrp.
in twrp nothing will mount apart from system, ive used fastboot to flash various stock blobs, proper twrp img etc but even tho fastboot said everything flashed ok, i still boot into the old twrp which wont mount anything apart from system.
i then got an old 8 gig sd card and put stock roms and energy rom on root of the sd card , in twrp i mounted system but cant mount cache, data or sd card but strangely, i was able to copy the above roms from the sd card and move them to the mounted system partition which i was then able to install the energy rom with aroma installer , happy days i thought until after installation it rebooted straight to twrp again asking for password?
when i try to install stock roms by the above method it fails because cache isnt mounted. i think the twrp is corrupted, how do i fix this?
could someone with the know how tell me what im doing wrong,? should i full wipe again? should i wipe the twrp and how do i do this?
i am sort of a newb to this and any advice would be great
SuperMan-Rom V1.8.1 Aroma - AP will not boot (integrity verification failed)
On My S7 edge, thought I'd give it another go at trying to root since this rom claims to be almost stock with an option to get rid of all the samsung rubbish (like s-voice) that you don't use ever.
Followed all the steps to root, ON STOCK OS, entered developer mode, allowed OEM, allowed USB debugging, turn off verify installs by USB abd. Now It seems the phone is prepped and ready to go.
Flashed TWRP with latest ODIN 3.11, made a backup of stock OS, back in download mode and flashed required bootloader and modem (BL and CP), boot again into recovery to flash AP (SuperMan-Rom_SM-G93XF_V1.8.1.zip). Went through all the process and it seems fine until 1st boot.
***Every try is showing "Verification Failed, Unable to restart your device. The Integrity verification has failed. You need to reset your device to factory default settings. This will erase all your data."***
Have I Done something wrong to be showing this error every time????
I had the same error message. The cause was that my device was encrypted. TWRP can't handle encryption on the S7 yet. Reboot into TWRP and look at the logs. If it says it couldn't mount /data, then this is probably the same issue I had.
To fix it, I restored the backup OS from TWRP, made a backup of all apps and data to external SD using Titanium Backup and wiped the encrypted partition in TWRP (which removes the encryption and all data). There may be better ways, but this one worked for me.
@Davebnly You need to take backup of the Internal Storage data and then do a wipe using TWRP, Since TWRP cannot handle the Samsung's Encryption the only way to bypass this is by formatting again. This is already mentioned in the Official TWRP Installation post here.
I have this same error after flashing a custom ROM. I did not take a backup of the old stock ROM as it's a new phone and I didn't think I needed to!
Can anyone tell me, if I flash the stock ROM will it let me into the device again?
Is there anyway to wipe the encrypted drive without installing stock ROM?
*UPDATE: I just logged into recovery and did a factory reset and it loaded the custom ROM. Not as lengthy a solution as I expected!

Hi, I'm sorry but what does all that mean? Reboot to recovery??? The only option on my phone is the button to RESET DEVICE and I have two weeks worth of photos and videos that I have not backed up yet! Please help!!! FYI, I have the same exact message telling me to erase all my data because I need to reset my device. Nooo, I am so scared right now.
I have a custom rom downloaded. But to flash it, I need to erase everything. That I am unable to do because the recovery dosent wipe data. It led to a bootloop. I got back the stock firmware and tried again and same result. Further more, I cant even factory reset. I'm using TWRP 3.0. Someone please help!

Ive tried that 4 times till now. It has been in a bootloop thrice. And I flashed stock. I currently am using stock firmware but want to flash the custom rom. The recovery is failing to wipe data because it is failing to mount data.

7. Select format type.
8. Swipe to change.
9. Select repair.
there is one problem with stock rom. its encrypts the data partition right after installing stock rom, therefore twrp can't access data partition. i had similar problem earlier. this is how i managed to fix.

i suggest you to stick with stock rom, because right now whatever roms or recoveries are made for this phone are blindly ported (just copy paste roms). i have tried about 3-4 roms for this phone, all had major bugs especially battery related. there is only one developer who made a stable rom so far is beingtejas, search his thread. if you really want to use a custom rom, try THIS rom made by gaurav kesarwani with help of beingtejas that is why i am suggesting it you otherwise it didn't worked for me atleast.
