The back of the case has a nice glossy tough black cover. The bottom of the case has a good looking shiny Diztronic logo on it and a slot cut open for the camera and speakers. The edges are made of a gelly type of material that makes the case easy to go in, but tougher to take out. This is a plus in my book because it makes the phone seem like it melts into the case. The edges of the case go over the screen making a bit of a "lip". This could be an issue if you use a screen protector, but don't quote me on it. The buttons can be pressed very easily and they aren't stiff at all. The buttons are the most easy to press out of any case I have ever used.

This case protects all aspects of the phone while still keeping a thin and light profile. The "lip" on the front of the case will definitely help to reduce the impact on the phone if dropped face first.

This is probably the best case I've used so far for the Nexus 4. At $12.99 you get a high quality case made with premium materials. You can tell Diztronic took the time to make sure they got everything right. This case gives you maximum protection, looks, and feel while keeping your beloved Nexus 4 protected.

Good Video man....I ordered my case on the 5th so hopefully it will come in tomorrow...and it looks very good...Im using the clear tpu you had in the video now..but once again good video as it should help others who are thinking about buying the case and since watching the vid i know im gonna be very happy when mine arrives.

good review. I just received mine yesterday, and was extremely surprised on the quality of it for being 13 bucks.
I HATE using cases on my phone due to being a minimalist and enjoying the slim design, but this one just fits perfectly! I enjoy the added gloss coating around the lip that goes on the screen..it creates a nice blending effect with the screen.
I've read a few people mention that the power/volume buttons are a little stiff to press, but honestly, they must be weak af, or they got a defective case. The buttons are extremely responsive with the least amount of pressure.

Forgot to mention that the back of the cases doesn't attract ANY fingerprints. That's a big deal for me because I hate cleaning off the back of fingerprint covered cases.

How's the screen protector? Any cons?

Can you test it out with USB cables which use a thicker connector? I hate having to carry the OEM USB cable with me everywhere since that's the only one that fits with my case. I like have USB cables everywhere I go.

I think he meant connectors with with wide and useless plastic around the actual metal connection itself

just got this case in today, great case, wish the back was exposed going to want the charging orb when it comes out, bumpers are still sold out unfortunately

man really....I hate Canada...why the EFF can't we order this

As of right now, I haven't used any screen protectors. I have used Skinomi on other products and they're great.

I checked the video and you showed all the sides except the bottom where the usb port is. If you post a pic of it, he might be able to judge whether case opening is large enough or not.
Good review though. Still waiting for my n4, but I'm ordering this case so the phone won't be naked after it is unboxed.

Case is well worth it. Just got mine today. Watch the screen protector putting it on though.

I am considering the Seidio Acitve. Before I buy a case, I am looking around a little longer.

The Seidio Surface case with the kickstand arrived today. I was a little worried about how much the kickstand would protrude, but it's only about 2 mm, so I'm glad I got it. I've also used Seidio cases for many years. My last one (S2) is still as good as new and I've had it since the phone was released for Sprint. Aside from the durability, I use multiple batteries and their cases are quick to take on and off.

Best buy's platinum series of cases are near identical to seidio, but about $20 cheaper. There is one with a belt holster and kickstand. I have it on my s4, and am quite pleased.

I tried this case on and it feels quite cheap. It also requires that you install a protective film(included) on the back of the device because the cards go directly against the case and back of the phone. The latch for the back compartment also feels flimsy.

You're gonna find dozens of different opinions on this. Everyone has different needs and preferences and few people will have used more than one case.
I've had the Diztronic TPU case. It's not bad. But being a TPU case, it's fairly bulky and I wouldn't call it pretty. Definitely offers less protection though, but I'm okay with that cause I just like using my phone quite a bit more with this case compared to a TPU one. Doesn't mean you will, though. There is no single best case.

I personally like the S line TPU cases found on ebay, there are only a few bucks and they provide the best overall protection + grip on the sides. Cant complain about 2 bucks.

I have used a black S line TPU case from ebay since I first got my Nexus 4 a few months ago. I have dropped it on a couple of hard surfaces over time and it's faired out pretty well and I would recommend them to anyone, also great value for money.

I just got my triple armor hybrid case today and I like it a lot.it feels very comfortable in the hand. The edges aren't deep like the eagle case. Its perfect. Still waiting for my damn mybat tuff case. Its taking forever to get to me. One ended up from Cali to Chicago??? I'm the other way....in Hawaii. The other is just sitting and waiting. Usps is messing up a whole bunch of crap this month. Try the triple armor hybrid its awesome:laugh:

Absolutely love the Ringke Fusion case. It's got a plastic transparent back so you can show off the unique glass back of the Nexus 4 (which is one of the only truly unique and beautiful things about this phone.) also offers a solid amount of protection. Have dropped it a couple times.

I like this one off eBay. It provides protection around the edges with a glossy look and on the back has a matte black finish. Kinda looks like a nexus 5, or not

Seidio Convert.

I use "Rearth Ringke SLIM White" cover, it's made in solid plastic and it costs 13€ (17.65 $).
For me this cover is one of the best available for nexus 4, there's only one defect it doesn't offer a perfect grip.

Poetic's SLIM case is also pretty awesome, and it leaves the whole screen exposed so you can swipe from the edges (e.g., in Play app). $6 at Amazon...

I second this case. for the same reason. why get such a beautiful phone if your just gonna cover it up
It gives very good access to the buttons, actually making them easier to press.
Although I have yet to actually test it out with a drop, and hope i never do, but just in case.

I agree to the hope I never do, had a 8gb nexus 4 with some cheap cover, dropped, bye bye screen.
I now have a 16gb Nexus 4, with a ballastics gel + shell cover, it works really well.

LOL there is that, ut I am use to the old motorola nextels. Just doesn't seem that long ago to me.

I have always preferred tpu or hybrid cases, the hybrids for the nexus 4 were lack luster at best, and out of the tpu cases I found the cruzerlite a2 to be the best. I had the driztroic but I found it to be a little to slippery with its matte finish and the buttons were a little hard to find and push.

Pouch sleeves?

I'm looking to buy a sleeve pouch for my Nexus 6P. In the past there's always been a few threads with good suggestions, but I haven't seen any so far.
Last year I ordered a pouch off of Etsy from the popular seller begoos and it worked extraordinary well with a TPU case. So this year I did the same thing only when the pouch arrived I realize that it's a much tighter fit than last year for the Nexus 6 and am unable to fit it into pouch with the TPU case on.
So, has anybody ran acrossed any good sleeve pouches that will be able to fit a TPU case is well?
I really like the wallet sleeve pouches but it doesn't necessarily have to be a wallet. Thanks

This is with my wife's Etsy pouch. I'll take better pictures tomorrow if I get a chance. I purposed used the biggest 6P case I have to show its size. The Supcase only sticks out a little but but my Nexus 6 did as well. I have 3 of these pouches (mine fits it better but I left it in my car) so it fits good enough for it to still use it.

The one I got is like micro fiber inside, not sure if it fits with a case as I don't have one

My Spigen Ultra Hybrid sirs perfectly flush in my pouch. I'll take pictures of it when I get home today. My original Nexus 6 pouch fun Begoos is a little bigger than the one my wife has so it works much better. Begoos is usually good about working with people. I've purchased a number of pouches from her and never had any issues.

Sounds good, the shipping takes a while from where Begoos is but its worth the wait. My wife has 2 pouches and loves them. You can also request different things like the magnetic closure if you want. I've had my pouch for about a year now and its still doing great.

I ended up ordering this. The iPhone 6/s plus has basically the same dimensions as our phones and a lot of people were saying this pouch has a lot flex to it. If this doesnt work out I'm going to have fitbag custom make me a pouch that fit specifically for a tpu case as they do custom fits.
