The case is very good.
Im considering this
This is my first case for my SR. I have bought several cases since but keep coming back to the pop case. I just love it. Wished it had a kick stand. The Active Seidio is my second fav. Both are rugged but the pop case looks 'cleaner' to me.

Yes. I agree this case is very good. I was looking for something extremely thin hence its on sale.
I ended up buying this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007NZWBX4

I hope it works well for you. It looks like one of those silicone versions which I had two of. The problem with those (silicone) are after awhile, they tend to get loose and sag a bit. I got frustrated. Eventually I went back to the pop case. Overall, my preference is just hard cases I think. Again, I hope this case works out for you.
I'll take the case if you still have it

This one is much better quality than the $2 silicone cases we see on ebay. I agree that I am taking a chance with the silicon case. It offers zero protection against a fall, but it fits nicely in Belkin GPS Dash mount I have. I use this phone for GPS.

The diztronic case you got is actually pretty good. My friend has 1 on his atrix2 and it's holding up pretty well. I was actually thinking about getting that exact same case. I have a white sr and think that case would be perfect. Using a seidio surface case now and I think that case will work with the seidio holster...
i have one of these, its great and comfortable to hold in your hand.

Also the material is different. It does not "stick" in the pocket like other case. The grip is different.
Can't wait to try it out!

I usually get the Seidio Active Combo for my device but paying $50 for it is tough. Love the case but does anyone know other combos (holster/case) of high quality for less money? If so then I would like to check them out. Thanks.

Otterbox has a series with a holster. I would also recommend Trident if you prefer a belt clip. There might be more.

Defender looks to be about the same price. I broke down and ordered the Seidio. Not a fan of Otterbox design and want to get protection on the device instead of waiting.

Good choice. There is a reason they cost more. I had the same (never replaced) active combo on my last phone for 2 years. I work construction, my phone/case takes a beating.
My dad has gone through at least 3 different Otterboxs in the last 18 months on his iPhone. The rubber stretches out and the plastic shell gets deformed so bad that they no longer stay on the phone. They are junk, IMO. We work together under the same conditions.
I actually just got my new active combo in the mail today. It fits perfectly. Looks to be another solid case that will last until I get my next phone in two years. We'll see if the kickstand can take the abuse of construction work for two years. I doubt it, not a deal breaker though. Shouldn't be a problem for anyone with a normal type job though. ..

so a few weeks back i dropped my phone in a parking lot with small, lose gravel rocks. i like a naked phone but this damage made me want a case. i don't like bulky stuff so i went with this slim case from ebay. its 0.5mm thin.
what i love about the case is that its fingerprint and smuge free. and i just like the look better.
pics of the damage.
ouch
ouch
case and phone
Ouch indeed. But that case doesn't protect top and bottom from those little rocks!

haha i know... just hope i dont drop it again lol
Sorry bout the damage. I use to think I wouldnt like a big bulky case until I got one. Its alot easier to hold I dont know how many times ive dropped my phone laying in bed. Not to mention my hands dont cramp anymore either. Something that small I would be worried about the shock from dropping it would transfer right to the phone. Will save from chips and whatnot but a hard enough drop I think it would transfer to where it counts, the screen/glass. I dont know how many times I dropped my s3 onto the concrete. Using a case with a silicone core and a hard skeleton definitely saved it. Still looks brand new right out of the box. My .02
Edit:
Check out the seidio convert. You might like it. It has the active I think its called at its core. A minimalistic case much like your but its also has a silicone you can wrap it in and then a hard skeleton on the outside. Nice because when your at home you can take off the rugged elements and have it in the slim case. Once again my .02

I bought that same case actually, but mine doesn't fit with the battery cover on. Such an awesome case, but doesn't feel like it protects the phone TOO much.

Nothing, you don't have to. Won't interfere with anything.
If you can't stand the look of it: take it off.
If you want some added protection: leave it on. I'm with this camp :good:
I have one of those cases as well. Don't you feel that its too slippery? Kinda makes me scared of dropping it.
I actually use 3 different cases for different occasions.
1. Spigen slim armor if I'm outside all day
2. Regular tpu for around the home and office
3. Wallet case when flying (folds into a stand and has pockets for id cards)
Buy a few more cheap case types if you can so you wont be stuck in one particular type
I'm using a desmay case which I think is 0.4mm thin, looks similar to the one you got

I have never used a case on any of my phones. My 2 year old threw my s4 across the room the other day. Luckily it was on carpet so nothing happened to it. After looking at thousands of cases on ebay I just decided on the neo hybrid. I hate cases/covers....
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2
glass screen protector and a case are a must. but a case that can protect all sides
I want to buy a new case, there are lots of cases but I would like to get any recommendation from someone who use these kind of cases - Hybrid , silicon + plastic, if its possible I preffer ones that cover the micro usb (and headphone jacket).
Thanks!

Right now I'm using this case (I've ordered it from the original seller before I've got the nexus) and bought another one few months ago...its awesome case, also its have a great covers for the micro-usb and the headphone jacket, but I want something with silicon as first cover and then hard case on it.
I've ordered this case:

Looking good, its also have covers for micro-usb and headphone, when it will arrive I'll check it out.

Purchased the VENA clear case. I was looking for a Ringke fusion type case, I but couldn't find one so I went with this option. This is an excellent alternative. I'm very pleased. Very sturdy, fits perfectly (even with tempered glass screen protector) and it's non slippery, while maintaining a minimalist profile. This is just my personal opinion. I couldn't ask for more.

I love it as well, my only two annoyances are the scratches and fingerprint magnet, which is found on pretty much every clear/glossy case.
Is this case rigid? How large is the headphone/USB cutout for larger cables?

no, is a slim hybrid with hard plastic on the back and flexible tpu bumper as far as the cut outs go, they're pretty big i have not had any problems plugging in different cables

Where you buy from?
Im on Amazon, im seeing VskinCl and Retain models, which one did you get?
I just got the incipio octane in the mail yesterday. I guess its originally 25 but someone Herr posted a link with a code that made it 11 total so I grabbed it. People were saying they really liked it, imo its decent but nothing to go crazy about.
I was thinking about picking up something else. Had my eye on the cruzerlite bugdroid case. Then I seen this post. Not sure what to do.

Seems like he's talking about this one. I have one on the way. I had a similar case for the Droid Mini, and Turbo. They hold up well, and no matter how clumsy I may be, I never managed to crack a screen. Hopefully this one treats my X just as well.
Thanks...
....Thinking of ordering one, I have a cruzerlite bugdroid on the way, seen it on the 6p, it looked nice, so I ordered one for this phone.

Just ordered mine a few days ago, my only concern is the TPU turning yellowish over time so I opted for the black border, but I have a white/silver frame :/
The Incipio case has a frosted back and silicone bumper and is running at $14 on sale right now, might go for that one too

I don't really like the bugdroid on this phone. The thickness of the case, coupled with the cutouts for the buttons makes it hard for me to press the buttons sometimes. That's why I ordered the Vena case for this phone.
I'm still liking the VENA, I use it for more rough handling like outdoors or exercising... Most days at the office I prefer the PLESON tpu case, vile which is more flexible and has a slimmer profile

Probably the best TPU case for this phone
I posted a review/overview of the Vena VskinTPU cases on Youtube that I cant link because XDA thinks I'm a new user for some reason. I have had mine since the video was mad and alternating carrying them has kept them from yellowing at all. Just perfect TPU implementations. Not a lot of added bulk, good drop protection, and laser-accurate cutouts. They have been a real surprise.
Search 'Moto X Pure 2015 clear TPU' on Youtube to watch it.
