[Request] Nav bar and disable buttons

I've looked around and I can't find any mods that enable a nav bar. I'm also looking to disable the captive buttons on the screen. Can anyone help me?

Page 1 of that thread has pre made zips (thank Sheffy007), but if you are running anything really new they might not be ideal. Using the guide (see link) will work on any rom.

Thanks. I tried that but those files are no longer there.

What Rom? I can post the key files so you can make the nav bar
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
To enable the navbar on a ROM just decompile the framework-res.apk and navigate to /res/values/books.xml and change the navbar value (forgot the exact name) to "true". When finished, recompile framework-res.apk and push it to your phone.

Anyway way to add shortcuts to the lock ring on the lock screen?

I couldn't find any options to add shortcuts to the unlock ring on lock screen
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda app-developers app
there aren't any, you need custom ROM for that

Widgetlocker will also work well.

You don't necessarily have to have a custom ROM. You just need root. I'm stock rooted and I installed gravitybox which is an xposed module. Gives you lots of options and tweaks.

Gravitybox has the option to add shortcuts to the unlock ring. It allows 5 different shortcuts. You just need root, download xposed, then check gravitybox, thats it.

Lockscreen HELP!!!

Is there a way I can turn the screen on or power on my phone and it shows my widgets first extended down sort of like the image below? then I can hit the little lock icon that be at the bottom to go to my pin lock screen and enter my password? Is there an App out that can do that or a hack or ROM out that does it already?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Plenty of roms have that option...
Sent from my SGH-I317 using xda app-developers app
I know SlimKat does, but there's probably an Xposed module that can do it also.
O okay is slim Kat a stock ROM

[Q] Powersaver quick settings toggle

Now that we can use powersaver by turning off the hide powersave function. Is there someway that we can have a powersave quick settings button to toggle it on and off? It appears that this exists on other versions of the phone, but as the original option was hidden I'm guessing this is too. After looking at the quick settings buttons it appears that the toggles are given a numeric id, ie 0 is user card and 2 is wifi. Does anyone know the id for powersave or if we can even enable this toggle. Thanks very much in advance for any help.

Ya we got the shaft again... If you look at other variants they have several toggles that we don't have. I want the screenshot toggle like the AT&T version has!

When I enabled the external SD card, I first had to install the insecure kernel to remove built in write protection, then edit the platform.XML to add permission for apps to write to the SD card. Otherwise, it undoes the edit on boot. Where did you find the setting for the toggle??

I'll try enabling them, see if it sticks. Be sure to backup before you flash the kernel.

No luck, made the edit, saved, reopened the quick settings edit screen, no change. Sqlite shows the same info as before the edit. No sure what's happening.
I would love to have these as well. I'm sure the devs well port it over in their roms.

You can make the edit no problem. You have to enter the value 2 times before it shows..

Maybe try exposed module handle external? That might work but if not insecure kernal should.
I hope kernal works as I need the screenshot one an some others I found were nice. Like music playlist tile was another cool one. An it lets you put mutple of the same tiles too which would be good for playlist tile.

Can This Be Done!?

Can't you simply freeze it (with App Quarantine, for example)?
