4.3 & Sense 5.5 update for HTC One Mini - HTC One Mini

@LlabTooFeR, who has been a pretty good source for HTC info in the past, reckons the update for the Mini won't be coming until "late December":

Perhaps if HTC stopped wasting time making pointless football apps and endlessly tweeting about match results we might actually have it sooner ... or at least give us an ETA instead of ducking questions about it
Come on HTC, don't neglect this little gem just months after release.

We need kit kat too, but nobody khows about the update...

I don't think the 4.4 is out on the HTC One yet and you're expecting a Kit Kat for the Mini? There is a cm11 right now but it's still being work on. You should check it out.

Why not i have a new phone, i wont the final version of android

I got the phone three days ago , and I'm in love with it. Unfortunately , the community is waaay more smaller than on my ex android devices ( Galaxy S3 LTE, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 7).
It will be too bad if HTC will leave this little gem without support and updates.
Even here, on Xda the Community for Mini is not even half comparing to other my ex devices. I hope it will grow .

[Q] Production of Htc One S S4 version stopped?

Will Htc stop producing the S4 version and completely rely on the s3 version or are they going to sell few of them?
Gesendet von meinem Nexus S mit Tapatalk 2
I doubt they'll stop, but they just don't have enough supply to build S4s for the entire world. They'll probably continue making S4s for the U.S markets.
Does that men price of s4 one will go up?
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
Probably not, based on Uhhh units sold/made the cost will probably stay the same if not decrease.

Dont forget when new phones come out like the SGS III it will rival or make the existing phones obsolete therefore marking the price down

Special edition one s

Looks pretty cool! What do you guys think?

Very unlikely it does, since the current One S sold overseas doesn't have the bands.
As far as I know the 64gb version was only released in Japan..hope they will ship it out into the world
Like the improvements made in the one x+, they should also increase the battery capacity. That would really make it "special".

HTC lying again

Was just on chat with support. Contiually lying to me that both versions s4 and s3 jb were released at the same time and I shouldn't rely on third party websites like xa for news hmmmmm
I hate HTC. My next phone will be a Nexus device. But that's my own rant. I still love the One S!

No wonder why htc is going down!

Kinda like HTC president commenting that it was poor marketing campaigns that made for lower sales than other brands.
I really like the build quality on my HTC devices. But some things could be improved on other ends.
+1. Build quality is great, much better than sh*tty Samsung devices with plastic all over it. The software side, support, and updates are what is lacking at a disgusting level.

Nope, Jelly Bean update for One S C2 is still in developement process (God Knows, when it will be live?)
I recently checked a thread on HTC UK's Facebook page they have specifically mentioned that Jelly Bean update for HTC One S C2 is in developement/testing phase

So there probably is an issue with it eg performance or it wouldn't be this long. Most likely the fact they used an older slower processor. They should replace every s3.

When I buy a device, I honestly dont give a rats ass about what the manufacture says. I check the XDA section for said device and see how the custom rom/root/unlock support is , and google a bit for build quality etc.
The only thing that we have to rely on the manufacture for, is the kernel source for said device/version. GIEF THE SOURCE ALREADY!
But theres always AOSP options...
Half the point, for me at least, with an android device is that you are NOT LOCKED to whatever the manufacture puts in it - you are free to change it!

Speedy, light ROM...

Looking to update the Nexus S for the missus but not kept up with ROMs recently... Had a look through the roms section but nothing really stands out. Can anyone recommend a ROM which is light, speedy (Bionic/Linaro) patches, close to stock and battery friendly?
Cheers.

[Q] HTC sence 4 + aosp rom? is there one?

I'm new to HTC coming from nexus and one thing that I really miss is JB dialer app with big contac photos while calling and all. Don't really mind the rest. So question is is there a rom with sence and aosp merge together for HTC One S? many thanks in advance

I guess it is possible because we have open sense now but One S has started to date so I guess no dev will put huge time on it again.

The opensense sdk is only meant for sense app development!
