I just got a Galaxy Tab 10.1 dock, model EDD-D1B1BE, and since the connectors look similar: Will it work with the Note 10.1? Anyone tried?

You would have to saw off the edges in order for it to fit.
Its the same connector but the dimensions of the tablet are different.

Well, the S2 is much thinner than our phone and even at the thick end, it is quite thinner (where the dock would be connected)... i don't think it would be compatible but you can go and check it out if its available for display somewhere...

This could allow it to dock but remember the time taken to charge using a USB port would be more when compared to charging using a wall charger.

Maybe you just search them and you would get a good selection!
I just bought a galaxy dock for my tablet and it was great! But there's one issue that really bugs me, the audio line out port doesn't work properly. It gives a tinny Sound but it's supposed to give full sound life the one on the tablet right? Maybe I bought a defective unit?

Well sadly, I just got the last stock in the Samsung Experience Store here in the Philippines...
i tried few pens, two different noname from China and Bamboo Stylus, but always the same problem.
i have to press quite hard on screen to get response.
on my phone sgs i9000 i just put the pen on screen and dragin it through screen i get one line, as i should. but on p5100 i have to press pen down and still if i don't press enough, i get no response.
well it's ok for typing, but for drawing i'm afraid to scratch screen in a short time.
anybody else have bad experience with pen on p5100?
could it be software issue?
I don't think the screen is made for use with a pen. The Galaxy Note is good for that. But I believe you can modify touch sensitivity in some way.

You can almost bet that Samsung will release all the same stuff for their flagship device. They make a lot of money on these accessories.
Will the note 3 s-view case fit the note 4?

Smart Cases are always welcome. :good:
EDIT: Model is SM-P850
So i feel like the S pen is too thin for me, what would be some recommendations for a third party stylus?
Offset it my main concern with a third party stylus
Lol no. S pen is the only thing that can make use of hardware features of your tablet
Wysłane z mojego SM-T585 przy użyciu Tapatalka
There are stylus pens that are compatible with S-pen tablets, I want to try one but I don't want to spend the money.

There is a builtin contradiction in what you are asking. Any "thicker" stylus would not be compatible because in wouldn't fit in the tablet. So any stylus you find advertised as being compatible with the S-Pen is, by definition, going to be thin.
edit: You might ask if anyone has tried the Wacom Gen 3 stylus with the P850. It is said to work with *some* Galaxy Note tablets.
Can we use note 10 s pen for it? It's pen size so it will be comfortable

Can you give a link to the pen? I had an SM-P600 Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 and it had the same skinny pen as the P580. It has to in order to fit into the slot of a skinny tablet.

I use the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 pen with my Tab A 10.1 with S pen. The pen goes for anywhere from $30 to $70 (US Dollars). It feels better in the hand, since I'm not writing with a toothpick (pulled out s pen). The button on the pen cannot be disabled... , but I manage it by turning the pen around to avoid accidentally pressing it with my thumb. Tab S3 pen's tip is more finer like a mechanical pencil vs. a ball point pen (pulled out s pen). You could replace the tip on the pulled out s pen with the Tab S3's tip, but it's not design to hold it correctly. You can write with it, but it will be very wobbly and it may also break.
Bought the staedtler noris digital from Amazon cause in my country the tab S3 pen was not sold separately and it's almost half the cost of the s3 pen. Fantastic pen(cil?) than the built in stylus, smaller tip and more fun to use. The downside is the lousy pencil cap and no clip whatsoever so you need to think a way to store it (I resolve this issue by using velcro around the pencil and stick it to the case).

I just bought the S Pen from the Tab S3 and it works perfectly on my p580. I purchased it the through Google, they sourced it from Fry's and included next day delivery at no charge. $39.99 plus sales tax. Its the only replacement that will work with the extended functionality of your tab AFAIK.
I also have galaxy tab a 10.1 P 585 but i lost my s pen :crying: and just cannot find affordable replacements, are there any other devices s pens that can be used as a replacement and can fit into that slot?? Thanks in advance
